IRL Ice Cream [A 7 Sins Collab Story]IRL Ice Cream
I smile at myself in the mirror and rub the little stain on my t-shirt that was yesterday’s chocolate cake. The night before, I had successfully converted another mortal into my glutton group. They’re a unique bunch. Some of them have broken hearts, some are addicted to sugar, some just really like to eat. Food is good. But we all do the same thing, and therefore, we are all one. And making me stronger. None of us are really mean, we don’t cause others pain. That night, I didn’t even mean to come upon a potential convert. It was entirely by chance. I was just sitting in a street bar that also served food, and waited around. Sure enough, I spotted some guy storming away from a table noisily, and some girl left behind with her heads in her hand, her hair sticking up in all sorts of directions. I waited for a moment more. After a few minutes, she lifted her head up heavily, as if it were some sort of boulder, and shoveled the soup she’d ordered just moments before into . Girls like her were easy prey. They honestly didn’t even need pushing to eat more. I just sometimes like to go in and have a little fun inside their heads.
So he doesn’t like you anymore, huh?
I guess you better just go home and watch more of your stupid dramas, where everyone ends up together. Except for you.
That’s right, baby, keep eating. And doesn’t cake sound good tonight? You should stop by the store and grab one.
Lately, it’s been getting easier and easier for me to convert people. Even the harder ones, where they have more self-discipline are just mindlessly following whatever that weird voice in their mind tells them. Let me say, it’s been great. I really feel that power coursing through my body, and boy, does it feel nice. I’m sure that Temperance girl has been feeling down in the dumps lately. Serves her right. What in the world can anyone gain from not eating cupcakes? And she’s such a specious woman. Things she say can convince so many people to avoid my words, but really they don’t make sense at all. It really makes my stomach growl with anger.
Sitting back on my bed, I notice my laptop gleaming on the floor beside me. Right! What a perfect chance to get back onto my new game. I’d been playing MMORPG games since I was a human. In fact, I was addicted to them, am still am. No wonder that I would spend almost every waking hour either doing my duty as a demon or playing my newest game. Who knows how much money I’ve invested into the gaming industry. Probably millions, as old as I am.
The new update has come out today. I remember thinking about it last night. What was it… a new realm, glitch fixes, a new food feature for pets, and a new couple feature! I was so excited. The couple feature would not only allow a social bond to form between my friend, but also a powerful link that would give me high power boosts. Not only this, but I would get a chance at having a new girlfriend! And best of all, one that didn’t have to know who I am real life. Afterall, it wasn’t everyday a girl played MMORPG’s with a demon. But I am still excited to have an in-game girl. My old girlfriend-- the one who caused me devastating heartbreak-- never liked the games I played. That should have been a sign. Only my true soulmate would ever understand my love for gaming.
Logging on quickly, my fingers fly in a blurred craze, pressing their usual spots without a moment’s notice [U: Canibus P: ********** ]. This was the effect of my long love of gaming. I am now, certainly, addicted to all these new updates. The server page pops up quickly, courtesy of my new Alien desktop, so I am set. My usual server is Miro; today it is almost full, so I quickly click on it to avoid being locked out due to the overflow of players.
My mission was to kill some monster from a land-- it was from the new storyline that was just let out a few days ago with an update. See, I’d already finished the main game’s storyline, so now I am just waiting for the updates for the next section of the storyline. The new update is not the best in terms of gear. The only thing that really is worthwhile out of it is the pets. It gives a nice amount of health and it’s defense stats are out of the world, not to mention that it gives two defense moves. The first 1000 players who beat the main boss of the new world will get to have to pet for free, the rest will have to go through a second dungeon inside the world to get it. However much I want that pet, I haven’t been feeling the motivation to go through the world as I usually do. I am perfectly content with the pet I have now, so I have decided to just deal with going through the second dungeon. For now, I do feel motivation to get new pet snacks. The new update for pets is, to state a simply, a fricking genius move. Now, even basic pets can have nice stats if the players care enough to get good pet snacks. This new update reminds me of the ice cream I used to eat to get over my crush. A nice nostalgia. Therefore, I’m favoring it over the new world.
Particularly, the ice cream in the update is one of the most powerful foods. This is a quite nice symbol for me. It’s really hard to get, too. I have to farm* it by going through a quest that requires fighting a whole bunch of bosses that are at the end of hard dungeons. Thank goodness that it’s worth it. Just like ice cream is worth it!
I’ve got to start farming. This morning I had already ki
