CHAPTER 2 - TIME LAPSE

It was 9:27 in the evening and the concert was finally coming to a close, much to the fans’ disappointment. Taeyeon took one last gracious bow and continuously waved to the smiling faces in the crowd as she made her way backstage.

Taeyeon emerged behind the black curtains, the sharp sound of the crowd of screaming fans ringing in her ears subsiding as she exited the stage. Taking the white hand towel handed to her by one of the crew, she patted her brow dry before taking a cold water bottle handed to her. After taking her first gulp of cool water, she choked as she heard the loud voice of a certain maknae suddenly emerge behind her.

“Congratulations Taeyeon-unnie!”

Seohyun waddled towards the shorter girl in an endearingly whimsical fashion with her arms outstretched to wrap around the older’s shoulders. She smiled, happy for Taeyeon with her eyes mimicking the same curved shape as her lips. Ignoring how Taeyeon was hacking up a storm as she struggled to clear , the maknae pulled the shorter girl into a tight embrace causing Taeyeon to spill a little water onto the floor.

“Yahhhh,” Taeyeon whined, despite the huge grin on her face. Handing the open water bottle to one of the staff she returned the hug and soon enough three more pairs of arms joined the two to smother Taeyeon with warmth. The five shared a snug embrace as Seohyun, Tiffany, Sooyoung and Yuri began to form a tight circle. Before Taeyeon could slither out of the mini crowd for fresh air, the five were all huddled around her, rotating in a circle while chanting the words ‘Yeokshi Taeyeon-ah!,’ their voices humorously low and manly. The staff laughed in the background at the girls’ peculiar, albeit funny and heartwarming way of celebrating.

Tiffany shrieked, wiggling out from under the group embrace to straighten out the crinkled petals of the bouquet of roses in her free hand, “Oh my gosh, the roses!”

Sooyoung took the bouquet of roses and imitating Tiffany’s classic valley girl, accent handed them over to Taeyeon, “Oh my gosh Taeyeon! Congratulations! These are for you.”

Taeyeon laughed heartily and took them in hand. She breathed in the sweet aroma of the bouquet and bowed a little, “Thank you so much everyone. I didn’t think you guys would be able to stay the whole time.”

Tiffany rubbed Taeyeon’s back gently, “You’ve been talking about this for so long, we wouldn't dare miss a second.” Tiffany scanned the rest of the room cursorily, wondering if Jessica would somehow miraculously pop up right behind Taeyeon. Seeing no sign of the brunette she mentally sighed. Perhaps coming backstage was too much for the girl. Tiffany could only hope that Jessica at least attended the concert.

“We should go out to celebrate, how about it?” Yuri suggested with a grin on her face with the glint in her eyes suggesting that alcohol be a part of their celebrations.

Picking up on Yuri’s intentions, Taeyeon quickly countered, “I have a schedule to wake up for early tomorrow don’t you know?”

“You know what we haven't had in awhile? Pizza!” Sooyoung chimed in, her arm still wrapped around Taeyeon's shoulder.

“No, we had that last week how about the usual place?” Tiffany added. Seohyun nodded along, perfectly fine with anything.

“You’re not even gonna eat with us since you’re leaving early!” Yuri added.

Tiffany grinned, “Well just saying.”

Tired and starving Taeyeon left it to the four of them to decide on a place. Smiling to herself, she hurried off to change as the rest of the members followed behind her. The four, while waiting for their leader, passed the time playing rock, paper, scissors to decide the restaurant they would go to for celebrations.

Emerging from her dressing room Taeyeon walked alongside Tiffany, followed by the rest of the members, her manager and some of the crew, and walked over to their company van. Deciding to part ways, Tiffany waved goodbye to the rest of the members and staff, and made her way to her own vehicle.

As Taeyeon watched the pink loving girl get into her vehicle a black coupe caught her attention from the corner of her eye. There was nothing out of ordinary about the dark coloured vehicle. There were easily dozens of other vehicles that appeared the same out on the road. Yet somehow, Taeyeon’s mind immediately went to one person.

Tyler Kwon.

Taeyeon instinctively whipped her head around and frantically looked around to see if she could confirm her suspicions. If Tyler was there, could Jessica be too?

Taeyeon gulped, her grip on the strap of her handbag tightening a little, and blinked a few times. She was definitely over thinking things right? As her manager ushered her into her seat the thought sunk itself deeper into her mind, planting it within a space of her thoughts momentarily.

Taeyeon found it difficult to disassociate black vehicles with Tyler. Everytime he would take Jessica on a date back when she was still part of the group, Jessica would always request that Tyler drive his most covert vehicle. Just seeing the vehicle anywhere near Jessica annoyed Taeyeon to no end. Then again, black cars were a common occurrence and as such there was no need to make it such a big deal. The longer Taeyeon thought about it the more ridiculous and impossible it seemed.

So once the thought of Tyler and Jessica showing up at her concert left her mind, a bitter taste remained. Now all Taeyeon could think about were those memories of her and Jessica, the scenes playing through her mind elaborately through a blue filter.

Taeyeon didn’t know which was worse, thinking of Jessica and Tyler together, or remembering Jessica and her together. The only difference between the two was that remembering Jessica and her together was pretty much routine for the singer at this point.

Taeyeon wondered when it wouldn’t be.

Taeyeon thought to herself and yawned, a big influx of air filling her lungs. She rested her head against the window and watched as the scenery around the moving van changed. As the row of streetlights continued to pass one after the other outside the windows, the girl found herself gradually overcome with sleep.

“At least you two are doing well.” And with that last thought, her eyelids closed ever so slowly as she drifted off to sleep.

———Flashback———

All Taeyeon could hear was the sound of wet lips pressing and sliding against each other, echoing throughout the halls of their empty dormitory. Jessica’s warm breath tickled her cheek as she kissed her back with desperation, clearly deprived of the warmth of Jessica close to her.

Amidst all of the schedules girls’ generation had, having time for just the two of them was a rarity. The two love birds became experts at playing hide and seek with the rest of their members, a skill that was absolutely necessary. Their relationship had started ambiguously and remained so - it was more than a friendship but at the same time the word ‘lovers’ didn’t quite suit them.

In that moment, Taeyeon thanked whoever god was listening out there for granting them a miraculous opportunity like this. As Jessica smiled in the kiss, Taeyeon pictured herself getting on her knees and thanking her new god Hyoyeon for dragging Tiffany to dance practice with her.

As Taeyeon started to caress Jessica’s hips to pull her closer, a small moan escaped from Jessica’s lips and excitedly, a smile spread across Taeyeon's face. Hearing Jessica surrender herself under her touch filled not just Taeyeon’s heart with warmth, but the spot between her legs.

Growing impatient and a little scared of how much she wanted the ice princess, Taeyeon began to plant soft gentle kisses across Jessica’s cheek. Cupping the girl’s cheek gently, Taeyeon gazed into her dilated eyes with complete adoration. She couldn’t help but be amazed at how Jessica could be in her arms right now, especially with how much of a loner Taeyeon could be.

Taeyeon smiled to herself inwardly. Being with Jessica made her sometimes forget about how she shouldn’t be with her and that thought in itself made her even happier.

Unable to contain the emotions threatening to burst within her, Taeyeon continued to kiss along Jessica’s jaw, each kiss slicing her heart open until finally, the words she had been trying so hard not to say flew out of without hesitation

Chapter 6: Can’t believe that Jessica admitted to Taeyeon that she loved her.. all for not saying that Tyler was just a business partner” she’s lying right through her teeth. And don’t get me started on Tyler who seems very homophobic telling her “it’s just a phase” and “curing her” how pathetic. I’m surprised of Krystal and her views I know it’s a shock but if your sister loves a woman let it be… this was a good story too bad it’ll never be finished.. thank you anyways, author nim for the story :))

Chapter 5: I love Taeyeon’s and Hyoyeon’s relationship! It’s so fun and lighthearted.. I’m glad we got more into the backstory of Jessica and Tyler and how the eventual breakup within the group happens. This is a great story and now Krystal and Taeyeon have to talk to Hyoyeon, hope she’s ready

Chapter 3: What does Tyler know?? This is getting good. And I feel bad for Hyoyeon and Tiffany’s relationship hopefully they patch it up real soon. Jessica lying to Tyler I couldn’t help but smile… if it isn’t obvious yet, I really don’t like Tyler in this fic
