“We’re a month old now,” she says.

It is lunchtime with her at the rooftop.

Her head is resting on my lap with her eyes closed, while I stare at her beautiful face.

It has been a month since I got addicted at staring at you.

“That’s why I’m here, spending my lunchtime with you,”

“I’m amazed she let you go,”

“Why wouldn’t she?” I ask.

She sits up and hugs me by the side.

“Because you haven’t been spending so much time with her,”

“I spent my childhood and freshman year with her,”

She chuckles.

It’s true that I’m spending so much time with Jennie lately.

Turning down Mina a lot just so I could spend time with Jennie.

Mina has been making an effort to spend time with me, but I prefer Jennie’s company.

“I feel like the table has turned now,” Jennie says.

And in that month, I’ve been more open to Jennie, saying nothing to Mina.

“I’m becoming a bad best friend,” I say.

“Then, do you want to stop dating?” she asks.

I look at her in the eyes.

I need your comforting stare.

I need your hugs that makes me feel at home.

I need your smile that makes the world brighter.

I need your cuddles and s before I sleep.

I need you more than her now.

“We can’t just stop,”

She smiles her beaming smile, kissing my cheek afterwards.

“We won’t,” she whispers.

From Jennie: Tell your mom you’re sleeping over at mine. :*

“Sleep over again?” Mina asks with a frown.

Her face a few inches away from mine when I faced her.

“Y-yeah,” I reply nervously.

You still have an effect on me.

She finally backs away from me, grabbing a chair, she sits beside me.

“I miss you,” she says, resting her head on my shoulder.

I keep my phone and stare at the board in front of us.

“Am I not spending enough time with you?” I ask.

“It’s not the time, Rae,” she says, a sigh following. “I miss you,”

The class is full of murmuring but I heard the longing in her words.

Why are you doing this?

“What do you want me to do then?” I ask her.

I feel her hand snake its way to mine.

“Come back to me,” she whispers.

The door slides open and I’m so glad it did.

Mina goes back to her respective seat with an empty expression.

I don’t think I would be able to focus now with Mina’s words clouding my mind.

I pull out my phone to text Jennie.

To Jennie: I feel like seeing you right now.

From Jennie: It has been like 5mins since we got separated. Missing me already? :p

To Jennie: I need hugs. TT

From Jennie: Something wrong? :C

To Jennie: Maybe I just didn’t get enough hugs at the rooftop earlier.

From Jennie: I’ll give you hugs & kisses later at mine. ;) Focus on your class now, babe. :*

To Jennie: Okay, love. :*

I can’t help but look at Mina.

I just got lost in you again, didn’t I?

“Rae,” Mina calls right after the bell rang.

“What’s up?”

“I forgot to greet you happy first month with Jennie,” she says with a small smile.

“Thanks,”

I couldn’t focus the whole time because of her, and now she’s saying such.

I move my chair at her table so now we’re side to side.

I rest my head on her shoulder, it made me want to cry.

I miss you too.

But a big part of me wants to stay away from you, to let go of you, so I could let go of myself too.

Yet, I couldn’t.

My hands made its way to hers, our fingers intertwining almost automatically.

“I’ll take your gesture as ‘I miss you too,’” she says.

What kind of gesture would let you know that I love you?

“You know, you’ve grown very mature when you started dating Jennie,” she starts. “You’re not that dumb anymore, you became friendly, and you’ve learned to manage your time between me, her, your new friends,”

“I feel like I’m not giving you much time, which made you miss me,”

“You’re giving me much more than you should,” she tells me. “It’s so selfish of me to say this but, I miss it when all your time was just for me,”

Why do you have to do this?

I couldn’t say anything.

I don’t know how to react with that.

A small part of me is glad that she’s missing me so bad but the pain is overpowering.

She’s toying with my emotions.

“Then what do you want me to do?” I ask her coldly.

“You’re always asking me what I want,” she says, heaving a sigh. “Don’t you want to do anything for yourself?”

“I want to spend time with you, in your room, the moment I get home tomorrow,” I tell her sincerely.

She smiles at my words, like the way she used to.

I’m at Jennie’s house, again.

Her house became my second home.

Her head resting against my shoulder, fingers intertwined, while we’re watching some romantic comedy.

She feels like home.

The characters on screen begin to make out heavily.

Definitely not something I would watch with my parents.

I tentatively look at Jennie.

Jennie turns to me. “Do you want to try that?”

I blush and stare at the screen, focusing at the scene before me. I nod.

Jennie smiles as she sits up properly. She cups my face in her free hand, guiding me towards her.

I close my eyes and feel her lips on mine.

They’re soft, almost hesitant in movement, and make me feel kind of funny.

It reminds me of my first kiss, Mina.

Jennie’s tongue starts to probe at my mouth. I let her inside.

Our tongues meet, exploring each other.

She tastes faintly of chocolate.

Just like Mina did.

I put my arm around Jennie, pulling her closer. Our breathing becomes harder.

We break apart only shortly before Jennie trails kisses along my neck, finding my sweet spot.

Mina is all I could think of.
