Jungkook is slowing down the car, finally making a stop in the middle of nowhere. 

Jungkook turns the engine off, closing his eyes for a minute, exhaling in silence. 

Taehyung looks around him. Fields and fields and fields. 

« Is this it ? Your safe place ? I think we would have been better in the woods. 

- It’s not it. It’s pretty close. »

Taehyung stares at Jungkook, not understanding. 

« Then why are we stopping ? »

Jungkook looks at Taehyung. 

« I can’t show you how to get there. In case you…

- In case I want to leave and I end up cornered by another player who wants me to conduct him to you. 

- Exactly. 

- It’s logic Kook. Don’t worry. Should I close my eyes ? 

- I’ll put a mask on your eyes. 

- Ok. 

- I’m sorry Tae. »

Taehyung smiles at him. 

« Don’t worry that’s alright! It even reassures me! That proves it can actually be a pretty good safe place! »

But Jungkook is still looking at Taehyung like he’s betraying him. 

Taehyung hugs Jungkook, out of the blue, like that. 

« Thank you for looking for me, finding me, and bringing me with you. Thank you for saving me. »

Jungkook grabs Taehyung’s shirt. He buries his head in Taehyung’s neck. 

« You’re welcome. »

Taehyung smiles. He has truly found a friend in a place he thought would only be dark. 

« Ok now let’s stop crying and let’s go to this orange tulip. I want to see what it looks like. »

The boys separate, Jungkook nodding and grabbing a mask from the backseats. 

« Do you want me to put it on ? 

- Yeah just do it. 

- Ok. »

Taehyung turns towards the window, looking one last time at the field in front of him, never having felt so confident about jumping into the unknown. 

Jungkook puts on the mask, attaching it carefully and rearranging Taehyung’s hair very carefully, sadness in his eyes. 

Taehyung turns back toward the front of the car, not seeing anything anymore. 

« I trust you. But drive fast ok ? It feels weird to not see anything. 

- Don’t worry it won’t take long. »

Taehyung smiles. 

But the car isn’t starting. Taehyung waits. But nothing.

« Kook what… »

Taehyung feels something jabbing at the bottom of his neck. Like a seringue. 

« I’m sorry Tae… »

« Kook what did you do ? WHAT DID YOU DO ?! »

Taehyung wants to take off his mask but his arms are heavy, so heavy. Why are they so heavy ? His head is turning. He feels dizzy. He wants to talk but his movements are slow, and his tongue is puffed up. 

« What did you do to me ? »

« Shhh don’t fight it, it’ll be over soon. »

« I… I trusted you Kooooo… 

- I know. I’m sorry. I’m sorry TaeTae. »

And Taehyung falls asleep.
