AMBER'S POV

"Welcome to the show everyone!" The host yells out loudly in Mandarin, "Today, we have the tomboy that's been stealing everyone's hearts. She's one of the hottest celebs in Taiwan at the moment, C2C's Amber!"

I rub my nervous palms on my black skinny jeans, plaster a smile on my face, and head out to start the program. I hate interviews, especially ones without the rest of my group. But I have to bear it. It's part of the job. Clearing my throat, I ready myself and run up the stairs. The bright lights hit my face and the crowd staring up at me fades into one big dark blob. I smile, wave, shake hands with the host, and stand next to the other two male guests already on the stage.

"Great to see you!" The host addresses me excitedly, then announces again, "And finally, a special treat for you guys all the way from Korea. She's known as one of the most beautiful K-pop stars... it's Krystal Jung!" The roar of the crowd is deafening. From the darkness of the stairs walks up a brown haired goddess. Her clear, white skin seems to shimmer in the bright light. Her red lips turn upwards just slightly, and her hand raises. Her shy greeting ends quickly as her hair flows down, covering her face. Then, a wobble in her high heels makes everyone lean forward slightly. Before I even know what I am doing, I am already by her side.

My fingertips graze her arm and reach to grab her hand. Placing her hand in the crook of my arm, I whisper into her strawberry-scented hair in Korean, "Are you okay?" Her eyes widen ever so slightly in surprise. Her subtle head tilt indicates a nod. "Be careful in those heels. I don't want to have to help you again next time," I mutter in Korean again, then as we reach the seats, I release her hand just as quickly as I had grabbed it.

Her flushed cheeks pull my lips into a smirk. I hide it quickly and sit down nonchalantly.

KRYSTAL'S POV

The feeling of her hand grabbing mine still lingers as the host speaks. I can't understand a word he says. My mind drifts back to her perfect Korean. Be careful in those heels. I don't want to have to help you again next time. Her dominating words somehow make her even more attractive than she already is. I turn to look at her next to me. Her sharp jaw clenches; a nervous tick, probably. Her hand runs through her short, platinum-blonde hair, and her dark eyes glitter in the bright lights. She tenses slightly as the host begins to talk to her.

AMBER'S POV

"So you're American. From Los Angeles right?" The sudden question catches me a little off guard.

I nod my head slightly, then realize I should answer. My English answer seems to make everyone chuckle, "Yeah."

"I know how to say yes in English too. That doesn't make me American though," the host jokes. I stay quiet, not knowing how to respond. "Ay, this quiet tomboy is giving me a hard time," the host jokes again, "Okay. Well then, I heard that before coming to Taiwan, you lived in Korea for a year. Why don't you conversate with Krystal in Korean?"

I turn slightly to look at Krystal. Her eyes dart up at the mention of her name. A translator comes up behind her and whispers in her ear. She looks at me, then smiles. "She already did," she says. The translator translates to the rest of the group. The host quickly prompts me, "Chat with her a little in Korean in front of everyone, why don't you?"

I turn to her and my nervousness suddenly washes away. Her clear, brown eyes look almost golden as they stare up at me. "You're from Seoul?" I ask in simple Korean.

"San Francisco actually," she responds looking down at her lap.

I smirk. Of course I was the only one here that could speak both her languages. Fate has a funny way of bringing people together.

KRYSTAL'S POV

I sit, staring at my hands. I'm afraid she will see the attraction in my eyes, but when she doesn't respond, I look up at her and see the smirk on her face. Shifting my eyes back down, I ask politely in Korean, "Why are smiling?"

The perfect English that comes out of astounds me, "Because I'm American too."

A chill runs through my body. Who is this girl?

AMBER'S POV

"Seems like they can communicate in every language except Chinese," the host laughs. He then jokingly turns to the translator, "Looks like we don't need you anymore then. We have Amber!" I finally relax a little bit and laugh out loud.

My laughter catches the host's attention. He turns to Krystal and jokes, "I heard that in Korea, you and your sister have the nickname 'ice princess'. Here in Taiwan, you should know that Amber has been coined the 'ice tomboy'."

The translator whispers the translation into Krystal's ear and she blushes, then laughs. Looking me up and down, she asks in English "Really?"

I simply shake my head while the host continues to joke around.

KRYSTAL'S POV

The rest of the show whirls by, with only questions and comments directed at me being translated to me in Korean. Surprisingly, Amber takes the time to translate some of the things she says into English as well. Every time she turns to me to say something, my heart beats a little faster. A sinking feeling in my stomach tells me I know exactly what the feeling means. I haven't felt this feeling in a long time.

I think I might be falling for her.
