I'm a Free Man

I Go Crazy Because of You Baby

Dongwoo looked around the room. This was what he liked. The dorm filled with people dancing, drinking and having fun. His friends had bright smiles on their faces. It was more than obvious they were having fun as well. Everyone knew he was the one who had the better parties on campus and the people who were invited to his parties were lucky. Really lucky. It meant they would be popular and it meant they would be loved by everyone around them without a single explanation. It just happened from night to day. And anyone who was a anyone went to those parties. They just didn't understood how some so called nerds could be there as well. It was hard to explain, but no one ever spoke about it, specially because those nerds and Dongwoo were best friends and they wouldn't even dare to speak bad about them. They didn't even dare to think it. Dongwoo had some weird friends, but it seemed the weirder they were, the happiest he was.

He looked around and saw everyone enjoying themselves like there was no tomorrow; and even thought he had no idea where Woohyun and Sunggyu were, and he really didn't want to know, he just continued walking around the room, making sure everyone was happy with everything. “Hyung!” He heard. Looking to the left he saw a couple walking towards him. Dongwoo didn't talk about it much, but he was pretty sure the couple was together because of him. His friend was Kim Myungsoo, and he was on his first year of college and he had the nickname 'Ice Prince' because of his cold, blank stares. The truth was, Myungsoo was far from being cold. He was a warm, kind person who just smiled when he was truly happy. And that had become almost a habit since he started dating his girlfriend. Her name was Jung Soojung, but to people who weren't her family or close to her, she was Krystal and she was exactly like Myungsoo. People thought she was mean and cold, but in reality she cared more about others than about herself. She was a beautiful girl with dark brown hair and had a beautiful voice. Dongwoo met her on a dance studio and before they knew it, they became friends and found out they were in the same college. And then, not even thinking twice, Dongwoo introduced the two. It was a match made in heaven.

“Hi! Having fun?” Dongwoo asked with a smile and the couple smiled brightly at him. “Naturally hyung! Your parties are the best. Everyone knows it.” Myungsoo said and the older man smirked, already knowing it. “And you Krystal, having fun?” He asked and the girl continued smiling at him with a bright smile. People weren't used to see her smile like that, and the ones who never saw it, thought she was probably sick or enjoying someone suffering. “Oppa, I already told you! Call me Soojung!” Dongwoo smiled at that. He enjoyed calling his friend Krystal. He always thought it fitted her more than her real name. “I rather have him call you Krystal. Soojungie is just for me.” She rolled her eyes when she heard Myungsoo speak. He was always so protective of her, and she wasn't used to it. She was used to have her independence and having people not care about her, but she liked having someone who cared for her like that. “By the way Oppa, I invited a friend of mine.” Dongwoo raised a brow. Krystal invited a friend? That was surely a change. She would never be with other girls, rarely. Just the ones from the dance studio. “She is on the third year, and she hasn't many friends.”

Dongwoo couldn't really see who the girl could be. Usually Krystal would just be around people from her dance group and if she was on campus she would only spend time with her boyfriend and his guy friends. She was hardly next to other girls. They didn't liked her that much, mostly because she was friends with Dongwoo and because she was dating Myungsoo. That alone was enough for her to be hated by some people. “I don't see why not. A friend of yours is always welcome.” He said with a smile and Krystal smiled brightly to him. “Thank you Oppa! I'm going to get her right now!” She gave a kiss to her boyfriend and left the dorm so she could get her friend. Myungsoo moved a little closer to his friend and smiled to him. “Thanks.” he started and the older man smiled to him. “No problem. I know how hard is for Krystal to make friends.” Dongwoo said and Myungsoo nodded. He loved his girlfriend, to him she was perfect, but he hated the fact she didn't had friends. When he met her she was a very lonely person and she would never speak to anyone. At first he thought she was weird, but then he learned that her problem was shyness and nothing else. People just refused to give her a chance. Dongwoo noticed the distant look on Myungsoo's face and he didn't had to guess his friend was thinking about his girlfriend. He found it cute, but he had to admit, it was kinda boring.

He adored Krystal, he did, but how could Myungsoo handle being just with one girl? What was the fun in that? He couldn't understand how his friends liked to date just one person. To be honest, Dongwoo never dated. Just the thought of doing something like that gave him chills and he felt like running away. He was a man who could commit to anything, specially not to a person. He liked to be free and do whatever he wanted. He liked to fool around with girls. It was no secret. Everyone knew it. Even his parents and they didn't seem to care. They just told him that he was free of doing what he wanted, they just didn't want to be grandparents at an early age. That just made him laugh, kiss his mother's forehead and say she had nothing to worry about because he was extremely careful and that no woman could be as good as his mother was. In a way, he knew that was true. He just wanted to keep being free and do whatever he wanted. He loved to go out at night, go back to his dorm at 5AM, sleep until 1PM and then go to classes and then to the dance studio. For him, life couldn't get any better. And the fact he didn't had to explain to anyone why he was sleeping with different girls every single time he went out was even better.

But curiosity was taking over him. “Do you know Krystal's friend?” He asked. He was pretty sure this girl had to be pretty special for Krystal to call him friend. One of those things happened. The girl had no idea about the stupid rumors that surrounded Krystal or she didn't care and she didn't had much friends herself. If there was a third option, Dongwoo couldn't find what could possibly be. “Yeah I do. We went out the three one time.” The older gave Myungsoo the eye and the younger just rolled his eyes already knowing what the blond man meant by that look. “No, ew!” Myungsoo said with a disgusted look. “She's a very nice person. Always smiling brightly and she has a passion for dance that matches yours.” Hearing that Dongwoo couldn't help but raise a brow. “You two would look together actually!” Myungsoo said with a bright smile, liking the idea but making Dongwoo a little uncomfortable. “But there's no way in hell I'm allowing you to touch Noona!” Myungsoo said losing his smile and glaring to Dongwoo who couldn't help but feel hurt when he heard those words. “Why not?” the older asked a little hurt. “Last time I introduced you to a decent girl you slept with her and left her in the next morning. She cried for weeks!”

Dongwoo rolled his eyes. It wasn't his fault! The girl was too needy and clingy. He got what he wanted and she knew about his fame. She probably thought she could change him like so many did before. But no one could change Jang Dongwoo. No one and he couldn't even count how many people tried. Even his friends did. “It's not my fault! She was the one who-” Before he could continue Myungsoo stopped him by placing his hand on the man's mouth. “Don't even talk about it. I don't need to know.” The younger man took a couple of steps backwards and Dongwoo just smiled brightly at him. He enjoyed making his friends freak out a little. It was seriously fun. Both continued talking about random things, drinking a little. They were enjoying the party like everyone around them. It was really fun and they were loving every single thing. As they waited Dongwoo saw his other two friends, Sunggyu and Woohyun come out of nowhere with huge smirks on their faces and honestly, Dongwoo didn't want to know what they had been doing. He just wished they hadn't left his room a mess, because if they did, he was going to mess them up.

Here they are!” Myungsoo said as he bumped his elbow on Dongwoo's. The older man looked to the front door He saw Krystal walking inside the room with a bright smile on her face and behind her was a girl. A girl that took Dongwoo's breath away. She had long, blond hair, her eyes were a little small and she was wearing one of the most bright smiles he ever saw in his life. She was holding Krystal's hand like she was afraid to get lost. “Oppa!” He heard Krystal calling him. He looked to Myungsoo's girlfriend and saw her smiling at him. “This is Hyosung-Unnie!” Krystal introduced and all Dongwoo did was stare. “Nice to meet you Jang Dongwoo. I heard many things about you.”
