Foreword
BACK STORY
Jiyeon was around 12 when her, her mother, and older brother moved away to America with her step dad. At first everything was very new and exciting to her. Of course she was sad that she had to leave her friends and her home country, but as long as her mother was happy, she was happy.
Unlike Jiyeon, her brother wasn't. He hated the fact that he left everything back in Korea. His dreams, his friends, and his girlfriend who he was in love with. Due to that, he hung out with the wrong crowd and did bad things. It only became worse when he found out his girlfriend of 5 years cheated on him. That drove him not only insane but violent. His life then ended a few months later by murder from a former gang member.
Hearing the news, jiyeon's mother fell into depression and ended her life when Jiyeon was 16 years old. After that, she lived with her step father who constantly abused her day after day after he would drink a few bottles or when he just felt disgusted by having her around. He felt like she was bad luck for ruining this family.
