First Day
Battle Of The Hottests“Are you new here?” the tall girl asked her politely.
Yoona nodded her head. “Yes this is my first time at the resort. I’m Im Yoona.”
“I’m Choi Sooyoung,” she smiled. “I’ve been here a couple of times already and my sister encouraged me to sign up for this thing. I’m not athletic so I don’t know how I’ll survive,” she groaned.
Yoona laughed. “It’s okay I’m not that athletic too but I’m willing to give it a try.”
“Sooyoung! I didn’t know you signed up for this too?” a shorter girl nudged Sooyoung’s arm teasingly.
“Yoona, this is Kim Taeyeon. She’s trouble sometimes but she has a really nice voice.”
“Good thing my dad started the music company I’ve always been asking him about. I’m waiting until they could recruit new artists and trainees.”
“That sounds really cool,” Yoona nodded. “All of you are so lucky.”
“No company at all Yoong? Not an heiress or anything?”
“Nope, nothing. I’m only lucky enough for my parents to pay tuition in university, which is already a lot.”
“I guess you could say we’re the ones who envy your life once in a while,” Sooyoung sighed. “It’s not easy to manage a business once our parents pass it on to us.”
Taeyeon agreed. “That’s true, so consider yourself lucky as well Yoona.”
“I’ll remember that.”
Beginners from Team A and B gathered and formed into one group, that was taught by Coach Lee. They had to do a few practices and then moved on to the indoor swimming pool where they could learn how to swim.
“Just keep in mind that when you’re in the water, never be scared of it. Once you’re scared, you’ll start struggling and then you’ll drown.”
Coach Lee instructed for everyone to get in the water so they could start practicing how to float. Once they have learned how to float, they moved on to using their kickboards for support so they could do a couple of laps back and forth in the lanes.
The beginners found it tiring for their first training session, so Coach Lee allowed them to get their lunch breaks earlier.
But the other group could barely breathe by performing ten laps back and forth. Only when everyone completed their ten laps successfully could they go for their own lunch break.
“I don’t know about you girls, but I’m going to get a massage after training’s done for the day,” Yuri placed her tray of food next to Yoona’s. “And I think that means a massage every single day because who knows what Coach Han is up to,” she scoffed.
“I think I’ll just sleep once training’s done,” said Seohyun. “I really won’t have any energy to do anything else.”
Yoona looked at them with sympathy. “Training’s that hard for you guys?”
“Oh for sure, they don’t go easy on us.”
“Wow would you look who it is,” a group of guys approached their table. One guy whistled right behind
