~ Prologue ~

 

“Did I look like I needed a hug?”

His gaze was unwavering.

His voice never faltered.

Still, she could see it.

“Yes.”

She could see it as clearly as that day.

He was calling out to her.

“From a stranger?”

He was calling out to anyone.  

For comfort.  

For a hug.

“Yes.”

Slowly, she felt his fingers under chin.

All before he gently tilted her face towards his.

“Do you think I enjoyed it?”

If she replied, their lips would brush.

That was all it would take for her to kiss this perfect stranger.

However, the thought of it didn’t bother her.

Instead of running away, she held his gaze.

Just as he had hugged her back on that day.

“Yes.”
