Cameras pan to the main stage, fans shouting idol’s names.

Dokyeom gripped onto the microphone, letting his voice come out for the first verse.

The guy looked up, into the camera and lets out a small smile before continuing the song,

Seokmin looks around the park, fidgeting around in coldness as he buries his hands further into the pocket of his jacket.

 

Ah, I didn’t expect it to snow this heavily today.

 

From the edge of his eye, he notices a figure running towards him.

Knowing well on who it was, he lets out a content smile and watches the girl run towards him, clumsily.

The moment Yuna stood in front of Seokmin, he could see the disapproving or worried look on her face. He couldn’t choose.

 

“You look like you’ve been out here for hours, how long have you been here?”

 

Seokmin smiled sheepishly as he takes out his hand to point one finger, showing that he’s been here for one hour.

Yuna grits her teeth, feeling bad and smacks Seokmin’s left arm.

 

“I told you that I would be late, why did you come here that early?”

 

Between breathes of sorry and groans of pain, he mumbles under his breath,

 

“I didn’t want you to end up waiting for me, so I came early instead. They said that guys who make girls wait are unworthy of them.”

 

Yuna’s frown falters for a bit, before letting out a sigh. She then looked at Seokmin’s hands before letting out another deeper sigh.

Gently, she took his hands into her own and massaged them softly, trying to share the heat from her hand to his.

 

“You’re not even wearing gloves, stupid.”

“As if you’re wearing them.”

“I have them in my pocket, okay.”

“Then why aren’t you wearing them?”

“Because I knew that you’re not gonna wear them, and it weighs down the guiltiness I feel for making you wait in the snow.”

 

Seokmin stares at the girl in front of him who has her eyes focused on his hands. He then pulls his hand closer towards his body, causing Yuna to be closer to him.

He then wraps his arms around her, burying his face into the crook of Yuna’s neck.

 

“If you do feel bad then, stay like this for a while. It warms me up faster too.”

 

The heat suddenly rushes up to Yuna’s cheeks due to the sudden skinship, then she calms herself.

 

“Do you think this is some type of K-drama?”

 

The girl pulls away from the guy’s embrace then folds their fingers together, pulling him towards a certain place.

Dumbfounded, Seokmin questions Yuna as he continues to get pulled.

 

“Where are we going?”

“I’m not going to be the love interest of the main lead of a K-drama, and I’m not stupid enough to actually let ourselves get frozen along with the snow and end up being some sort of statue of love symbol, therefore I will be smart and bring us to an indoor place.”

“I don’t see the con in that though.”

“Idiot.”

Memories entered Dokyeom’s mind, involuntarily as they warm up his heart.

Continuing the song, he glances at the fans, the camera, then back to the fans.

Seokmin looked out of the window, absentmindedly caressing the back of Yuna’s hand with his thumb of their intertwined hands.

He looks to his left and sees that Yuna’s head was bobbing from the movements of the bus, and due to her sleeping.

Seeing her head just constantly nod or so, he couldn’t help but let out a chuckle.

 

After a while of being amused, he then lightly nudges Yuna’s head from the other side with his free hand so it rests on his shoulder instead.

Yuna, still unconscious, then hugs her bag that was resting on her laps tighter. and her grip on Seokmin’s hand too, gets tighter for a while before it loosens.

The guy couldn’t help but let out an adoring smile before looking out of the window again, just to make sure that they haven’t passed their stop,

 

Though he wouldn’t mind passing it a few more times just so that they could stay like this,

 

For a little bit longer.

With the memories flooding in, Dokyeom couldn’t help but let out a smile, a smile that showcases his full happiness, content.

The fans’ reactions towards his sudden smile were shouts getting louder, and he could feel the camera zooming in onto his face.

He could already feel the gifs that his fans are going to create with that.

 

Dismissing them all, he continued to sing the chorus again.

The stage lift next to him then heightened, revealing a woman sitting on a stool similar to his, long, straight haired with the lightings dimmed on her.

With that, he rotated his stool to the other side, facing her. His eyes were stuck on her, the lyrics for the next verse rolling off his tongue easily.

 

Hope the moment sitting face-to-face and looking each other
would last forever
time would envy us,

Together forever my love

 

The lights then shun on her, revealing Yuju of Gfriend which caused the fans to shout much louder.

She too, was facing Dokyeom and looking at him with a sad smile, suit for her part as she continued on with her line.

With the interaction, the camera rotated around them, creating an effect.

At the same time, the both of them stared into each other’s eyes as they let out their vocals together, just as the song needed.

Yuju then rotated the bar stool forward, looking into the camera instead as she puts on a sad expression for the lines.

As the ending, Dokyeom too, looks forward but closes his eyes instead for the ending, not being able to look into the camera.

His vocal trainer constantly reminded them to sing with the emotions from his heart, and it seems like he managed to do just that.

With the final cheer from the fans, and the emcees’ que for their talk, the lights dimmed on both of them, leaving the stage empty.

Dokyeom looks at Yuju, which she too at the same time looks at him.

He lets out a smile at her, which she too replies.

 

The difference was that, Dokyeom’s smile was a longing smile, while Yuju had a formal smile.

 

She then stands up and slightly bows to him as a ‘thank you’ sign before waving towards the fans and running backstage.

And that part broke his heart the most.

 

They weren’t how they used to be anymore.

He looked down for a while before remembering that he should get off from the stage.

 

He waves towards his fans, letting out his ‘normal’ smile before walking off of the stage too.

Walking backstage, he looks to the left and caught a glimpse of Yuju before she entered Gfriend’s waiting room.

 

And in that moment, he wishes that they could’ve just stayed as Lee Seokmin and Choi Yuna.
