“Infinite is seven. No more, no less.”

Sunggyu hyung always said that phrase. Stating how Infinite is seven. How the seven of us was Infinite and only together are we Infinite. Not six or five, not eight or nine, but seven.

But hyung, seven is merely a number.

As long as there is seven, then it won’t matter who, right?

Although we are Infinite, we aren’t infinity. There is no such things as forever because there is nothing that last beyond the limits of this world. There’s no eternities nor is there infinity. Because, life always ends somehow.

I thought that as long as we’re alive, we’re Infinite. That we will remain forever but I realized that I was being delusional. Because hyung, there isn’t infinity. We are Infinite but we aren’t Infinity.

We’re going to disappear and no one will know. No one will even remember.

Even as idols, our fans will forget one day. People will eventually replace us.

Because new groups debut every day.

We’re only temporarily.

We are not infinity. And I know that we all know. We just don’t want to accept this reality.

You put on a smile and pretend to be happy. So does Dongwoo hyung, Woohyun hyung, Howon hyung, Sungyeol hyung, and Sungjong. We’re laughing and smiling but we know.

We’re slowly dying a little inside every day.
