Chapter 8

Seungho was sitting in the edge of the baseball field with Yoojung. He wore baseball uniform. He has just finished playing baseball.

“Yoojung-ah.. are you mad because I ate the kimbap alone? Or because I asked Jiyeon to make it for me?” He asked Yoojung who was sitting beside him. Yoojung wore cheerleaders uniform. She also performed to cheer the baseball player there.

“Aniya.. I just said the truth. I don’t like kimbap. And I don’t like you like it too.”

“wae..? the kimbap is very tasty” Seungho confused

“You are a rich boy.. how come do you like that kind of food? Don’t say you like tteobokki too... it is a street food. They do not match us at all!” Seungho’s face changed. He took a deep breath to calm his anger.

“It is not related at all. If you try it you will like it.”

“I don’t want to see you eat those food in front of me!” She left Seungho alone.

Seungho shoke his head. He could not believe his girlfriend was so childish that make that kind of thing to be a problem. But still.. he could not hate her. He was just too afraid to lose her.

“Seonbae...” Jiyeon came. “Is she mad because of me?”

“Anieyo... why do you think like that?”

“dahaengieyo geureom.. Chukkaeyo..” she said cheerfully. Seungho was confused. “you did so well on the match. Keep fighting on the next match next month” she said and move her body to leave Seungho. She just wanted to cheer him up, because she saw Seungho was really upset.

“yaa... odiga-where will you go?”

“Oh?” Jiyeon looked at Seungho again.

“Anjeo!” Seungho gave her a sign that he wanted her to be there.

Jiyeon just nodded and sat beside Seungho. Seungho kept silent after asked Jiyeon to sit there. Jiyeon was afraid too , to say something and break the silence.  They were in silence for about a half of hour. Seungho was seeing the sky while Jiyeon was looking at the ground and played her feet and making sound.

Jiyeon sometimes looking at Seungho but afraidly moved her face and looked the ground again. She started to sing in a very low voice.

Seungho turned his head to look at Jiyeon. He smiled.

“Has Shiyoon met you to create the song?” he finally broke the silence. Jiyeon shoke her head without looking at Seungho. Seungho smiled again. “Make it well. I will listen to your song carefully” Jiyeon stopped playing her feet and turned her head into Seungho.

“ne.. seonbae..” Jiyeon nodded again without saying anything more.

“Gomawo..” Seungho suddenly thanked Jiyeon. Jiyeon looked at him again to wait him continue his words, “You asked nothing but stayed here to accompany me. Don’t you want to know why did I asked you to be here?”

“A friend will wait until you tell her/him by yourself” Seungho smiled again.

“I was not wrong when I think you are a friend that God sent for me since the first time we met.” Jiyeon was surprised to hear that from Seungho but then she smiled

“no matter how hard your life is.. don’t ever give up on everything that makes you happy. You have many friends who wanted you have a happy life. Including me” Jiyeon replied but She stopped when Seungho touched her hair and messed it.

“Yaaa... uri jiyeonie jinjja joheuneyo...-our jiyeon is really kind” Jiyeon held Seungho’s hand to stop him.

“I will forgive you this time. But later, I will not. I spent hours to tidy up my hair, seonbae...” Jiyeon said cheerfully and made Seungho laughed even louder.

“okay.. only this time” Seungho messed Jiyeon’s hair once again.

“Seonbae... geumanhae...” Jiyeon stood up and pretended to be angry but unfortunately her acting was not successful. Seungho laughed loudly. “Wae usseoyo?- why did you laugh?”

“your acting is so bad..geumanhae.. anjeo... yeogi anjeo..” Seungho asked her to sit again. Seungho and Jiyeon kept silent again.

“Jiyeon-ah.. Seungmi was mad at me.”

“Mwo? Waeyo?” Jiyeon gave her concerned when Seungho mentioned Seungmi.

“She became more misuderstand about Yoojung. She avoided me since some days ago. I don’t know how to recover this situation. It was my fault who was yelling at her?”

Jiyeon kept silent. She just listen to Seungho.

“I should not yell at her. She must be very angry to me. What do you think I should do?”

“Why did you tell me about it? You know me just about a week. do you believe me?” Jiyeon asked unexpectedly.

Seungho POV

“why did you tell me about it? You know me just about a week. Do you believe me?” Jiyeon replied my story unexpectedly. I was surprised.

“Ne.. mideoyo- i believe you.. neomu-much.” I was surprised more of my answer. Jiyeon seemed startled too. Her face expression changed a bit.

“so.. you will listen to me?” I nodded. “Seonbae... Seungmi neun geunyang kokjongitjanha- seungmi is just worried about you. She did not want something bad happened to you” she was right. Seungmi was just worried about me. “I don’t know what happened before.. or what did Yoojung-ssi did to make her hate Yoojung-ssi like that. But you could know the real things if you listened to both of them. You listen from Seungmi what she feels and listen Yoojung about what she feels.”

“Should I? But how will I do that? She avoided me. I don’t have chances to talk to her.”

“Seonbae.. don’t give up.. aren’t you her oppa? You know her better than others. He will listen to you either.”

“Majjayo..-it is right.” I hugged Jiyeon thankfully. I could feel she was shocked so I released her soon “Jiyeon-ah neo jinjja chalhaeseo- you really did well. I was not upset anymore. Gomawoyo.”

“Ne.. geureom.. should we go home now? It is going to be dark here.”

“ooh.. I will accompany you to go home.”

“Aniya.. wae? My appa is very very stern. Do you want to be yelled??” Jiyeon tried to tricked me again.

“Ne.. I want to..” She was surprised and laughed. She was so beautiful laughing like this.

We walked out the field and walked to the nearest station. I missed the time I went to school by bus. She made me have that chance again. She sat on the bus stop and took her phone. I stood in front of her to looked around a bus. “What bus do you always take?”

“the green one seonbae..” She was too busy to looked at me when she talked.

“What are you playing?” I asked curiously. She shoke her head.

“I do not play. I am sending a message to my appa to yell at you later..” Mwo??

“Mwo??” she laughed loudly.. I knew she just played me around. I was speechless. How many times she did it today? Should I take revenge on her? “well.. I will not stand still on you.. you will see what will I do to you..”

“Musun-what is that? Nan kkumkumhaeyo-i am curious” she was really cute. She made me remembered Seungmi everytime I was with her. I took her phone and made her hard to get it back because I held it higher than she could reach.

“Seonbae..give it back..” she nagged.

“wae? Is it for the boy that you like until you made a poetry for him? Is it for him?”

“what do you say?” Jiyeon avoided to talk about it but I knew she was liking someone. I should help her no matter who the boy is.

Three weeks after Seungho accompany Jiyeon to go home, Seungho was closer to her. Seungho always asked Jiyeon to make him Kimbap that he liked the most. Of course it was under Yoojung knowledge. Seungho always gave comment on the song she and shiyoon did. That day, Seungho was practicing in the field for the match next week. Yoojung came to him and protested because he was really hard to meet nowadays.

“Oppa... why did you very hard to find at school?” she was mad at Seungho but Seungho was only smiled at her. “Did you avoid me?”

“Yaa... why do you say like that? I was always in the field to practice baseball.. do you miss me?” Seungho replied with his sweetest smile.

“Is the match more important than me?” She shouted and made some players there startled. Seungho was embarrased. But yeah.. he was very foolish if it was about that girl. He triend to calm her down

“Yoojung-ah.. of course you are important. But this match is also important for me, my team, and our school.”

“well... just do what you like! I will not disturb you...” She went away. Again, Seung ho chased her and hold her hand.

“Wait.. what do you want? A bag? Shoes? Dinner?” She smiled as her goal was fulfilled. “mwonde?- what is it?”

“do you know that there was a limited edition bag was released yesterday? Only 5 in the worldwide. Buy me oppa!” She begged him to buy another expensive thing. Seungho had no choice if he wanted her forgiveness. He agreed. He nodded and Yoojung was back. She was kind again, lovely again, and cute again. “Thankyou oppa.. i will forgive you.. geureom.. continue your practice.. you must win, so everyone loves you more, you became more famous.. saranghae..” she left Seungho in the field who still stood still saw her dissapeared.

“Seungho-ah..” Shiyoon approached him “why do you love that girl that much?”

“Mwo?”

“She is not love you at all.. Look! She just looked for you when she needed you fulfilling her wish. Bag, shoes,..”

“geumanhae Yoon Shiyoon” Seungho was unhappy Shiyoon talk badly about his girlfriend. He went away not wanted to hear him and creating fight.

“Yaa! You are fool!!! There are so many girl who are more beautiful and more kind than her..what is so good from her? If you wanted to play around with her it is okay.. but to love her.. it is a fool, you know!” Shiyoon talked again while he was following Seungho. Seungho just kept silent and kept walking. “How much did she take from you? I can’t imagine.. you fell in love to a gold digger while many angels flying around you.. “

BUGS!!!

“I said geumanhae!” Seungho gave his friend a punch. “You don’t know about her! Stop talking about her!”

“Yaaa!” Shiyoon was also emotional. He threw a punch to Seungho. “I just care of you because you are my friend! What did you do to me? You throw a punch?”

“Yaaaa!!!!!!!!!”
