Dear Seunghyun,

It's me, Bom. 

Park Bom.  If you have ever forgotten.

Because I am certain you did after all the pain I have caused you.

Wait!

Please do not crumple the paper yet. This may bring back memories but please I need you to read it through.

I apologize if that has to be the introduction, but I couldn't think of any other ways to start. I also apologize if I'm not going straight to the purpose of this letter. Moreover, I sincerely apologize for what happened back then. 

I guess you must be scoffing now. But I really am sorry Seunghyun. I sincerely am in the depths of my heart.

Though, if there is one outcome that I do not regret after what happened, that is you achieving your dreams of being successful in the army. Congratulations on your new promotion by the way. I heard on the news that you are the youngest to ever achieve the Lieutenant Colonel rank in our country.

I could not be more proud of you.

And happy for you.

Aish. I am sorry for straying again.

But before I continue I just want to tell you that this is my only hope, so here it goes,

Seunghyun, I know this may really sound offensive, insulting, and selfish but. . . I wrote for your help.

If you have not known I have been working as the corporate lawyer of the SD Technologies Corporation. I believe you are already well informed of what happened to my bosses. After all, it was reported by the media for the whole world to see.

But what was not reported is the real reason and the real culprits behind their murder. 

These culprits are now after me Seunghyun. They are spread out to haunt me and wires are tapped for all I know, hence, the letter.

Why would they? It's because they want something and this something can only be obtained through my help. 

I cannot write further details anymore as it would be very risky. Instead, I'll give two reasons to convince you.

First, you cannot let them obtain this something because if they do, it will affect the whole nation. You are a soldier and I know how much you love this country and the people.

I know the first reason should be enough to make you act because it's your responsibility as a soldier. But the second one is something deeper and important on a different level. It entails a higher kind of responsibility.

Seunghyun, I gained the courage to ask for your help and protection not only for the country's sake and definitely not for mine.

I gained it for our child.

Yes.

We have one. He is eight months old and I cannot protect him without you so, please. 

Please believe. We might have had a horrible past but please spare him. 

Please~ I'm begging you.

We are currently at the hotel we stayed at the last time we saw each other.

I drank down a glass of brandy as I stared intently at the piece of paper laying on the desk.

I gripped hard onto the now empty glass as my mind is starting to be invaded by the inevitable aftermath of the letter I read.

In danger?

What the hell did that woman got herself into?

I stood up and headed to the refill table in the corner of my study room.

And all this time we have a ing child? An eight-month-old baby? 

I poured more of the drink in the glass, then, went directly to look out the window as my thoughts continued to get the best of my rationality.

After everything she did to me, should I even believe in her again?

I know something is not right with what she wrote. If I'm on the right track, something is very off.

How can I trust that she's saying the truth?

I began to sip on the drink again at least to relax from the building tension and confusion.

'Seunghyun, once a liar, always a liar. You wouldn't want to associate with her anymore.' A part of me whispered.

'But Bom wouldn't even desperately ask for your help if she's just bluffing. At least give her the benefit of the doubt.' Another part argued.

I angrily ruffled my hair as I turned around. 

*SMASH!*

The glass clashed with the wall as I threw it away.

I am seriously hating myself for the decision I've made.

I hate how the second voice still exists.

And I'm hating myself for following it.

"Damn it Choi, you never learn." 

I hastily wore my coat and shoved the letter in its pocket. Not to forget, I brought in my personalized handgun, a habit I acquired ever since I started my junior officer rank days. 

Then, I drove out of my house and into her direction once more.

Bom's POV

It's been three days since Chae and Jiyong's burial. And two days since I sent the letter to Seunghyun.

I should not start thinking negatively. But right now, I can't deny that I am quite petrified that he will not come and help. Tons of what ifs visit my mind every hour that passes since the time I sent it to him.

Because no matter how convincing the reasons I stated in that letter, it still does not erase the facts that I've done something horrible to him before and that I'm about to do something horrible to him again.

*Ringgg~ Riingg~

"Yeobeoseyo Ssanttokki ah~" I sweetly answered.

Thank God for Sandara Park. She's the one who keeps me from insanity these past few day since she consistently checks up on me and Yeong gun via calls.

"Hello too Bomtaro. Gosh, I am still not used to this phone. It's too high tech for my sake."  Speaking of which, our awesome dongsaeng---Minzy made special phones for us to use that leaves our conversations and what not undetected by enemies.

"Kekeke speak for yourself because I am loving it. If not for these phones then I will have zero contact with the both of you! "

"Yeah~ I guess you're right. Mianhae if we can't visit Bomtaro. If you only know how worried we are for your safety in that hotel."
