(a/n: out of my mind gives me 'sat in my room and wrote this when i was a little too emotional' vibes)

"I hope you know you drive me to a point, hyung--" Younghyun started as soon as Jaehyung opened the car door. It was half past midnight and Younghyun was drowsy with wanting to sleep and needing to finish his assignments before morning. Jaehyung decided to party--of course. Strange for a guy who's only friends with his guitar-- and he got stuck somewhere. Wherever the hell here was. This had happened time and time again; and Younghyun swore he wasn't going to keep playing this little game with Jaehyung, but there was something about a half-best-friend, half-boyfriend that made Younghyun oddly happy to save his at the actual crack of a new day. (There was something special about being the start of Jaehyung's day, even if that meant losing sleep and wasting precious study time.)

"I push you to a lot of points. Which one are we talking about now?" Jaehyung asked, smiling. He shut the car door and strapped himself in, leaned back against the seat and got way too comfortable way too fast. His long legs stretched out, and he let out a comforted sigh, "Can we get something to eat? I'm starving."

"Eat something at home. I have to get back to studying." Younghyun said. Jaehyung looked over at him with a little frown, a little pout; and then an idea sprung to mind--clearly, because he perked up and he smiled, "Can I eat at your home?"

"Absolutely not." Younghyun shut the idea down very quickly. Jaehyung was taken back again-- frown and pout coming back as Younghyun began to drive-- opposite way to his house, following the roads he needed to take to get Jaehyung out of his hair. Jaehyung was quick to argue-- almost as quick as Younghyun was to shut him down, "But your house is comfortable! I'm your boyfriend, you should feed me--"

"You're my best friend, and I take a particular joy in watching you starve. It's what you get for pulling my nose out of my textbooks." Younghyun said. Jaehyung's mouth hung open a bit, his frown still present. Younghyun glanced over at him, and had a brief thought of he looks really nice, but he wasn't going to let himself voice this. Jaehyung was already making too much noise anyway, scoffing a bit, sitting back, grumbling about "I can't believe I was friend-zoned by my boyfriend," and Younghyun almost laughed. Almost. (He ended up kind of snickering beneath his breath.)
