It’s a shiny day at seoul but not for this man who’s sitting and waiting for the best result he hopes. He’s praying, praying that he’ll be okay. Doctor get out from the operation room,

 

“Mr Choi Seungcheol guardian?” he ask the man and the other 2 person with him

 

Three of them nodded

 

“He’s alright, nothing serious about his injury, gladly you call us faster. He’s still in anesthetic effect  so he still sleep for now”

 

 

About 3 hours after seungcheol awake,

 

“Cheol-ah, Seungcheol are you okay? I’m glad you’re fine” said this man while hug seungcheol softly, cause he afraid he wil hurt his body.

 

“wait wait, who are you?” said seungcheol to this man

 

“choi seungcheol don’t joking around it’s not funny at all” said a woman who also waiting seungcheol operation progress

 

“I’m not joking aroung Nana-ssi”

 

“wait, you know who I am?”

 

Seungcheol nodded

 

“what about him?” asked nana point a man who sit in sofa

 

“of course, my boss. Dongho-hyung”

 

“and him?” nana point the man who hugged seungcheol earlier

 

Seungcheol just shake his head,

 

 

“jisoo-ssi come here for a second” said nana

 

Jisoo, yes it his name, the man who pray for seungcheol, the man who hugged him earlier.

 

Jisoo come to nana, he know for sure what will they talking about

“I know you must be shocked about this but I hope you can understand”

 

“I understand nana-ssi, I’ll not try anything to make him remember—“

 

“that’s not my point” nana said as she cut jisoo  “I just want to say that you can tell him but not now”

 

“it’s okay nana-ssi, it’s my fault. This is the risk I may take, just last thing I want to do,” said jisoo

 

 

Later on nana comeback to seungcheol’s room

 

“so who’s that jisoo person earlier?”  asked seungcheol

 

“ah, he’s the person who call an ambulance for you, the one who try to save you” 

 

“that’s it? Just like that? Why he hug me like that earlier?”

 

“let just say that he relieved that you’re okay” explain nana

 

“so where is he now? I want to say thank you to him” asked seungcheol

 

“he’s already going back, dongho oppa accompany him”

It’s already 3 days after seungcheol get out from hospital, he’s okay now, and he already do his job again.

The door bell ringing, someone come to restaurant

 

“good morning, anything I can help?” asked seungcheol

 

“I want the usual—ah I mean one iced Americano and tuna sandwich” said the customer

 

“one iced Americano and tuna sandwich, will you eat here or take home?” asked seungcheol while look at the customer and realized something,

 

“I’ll just eat here,”

 

“ah jisoo-ssi? Right isn’t it?” asked seungcheol

 

Jisoo nodded,

 

“how about your body? Is it okay now?” asked jisoo

 

“I’m more than okay now, I even feel more health than before” said seungcheol

“ehem customer here cheol” scolded dongho to seuncgheol

 

Another customer behind jisoo already waiting for a long time cause jisoo and seungcheol keep their conversation,

 

“ups, sorry. So one iced Americano and tuna sandwich it’ll cost 11000 won”

 

After pay jisoo wait his order at his usual spot, this café was the best and the memorial place for him,

 

He remember about that day, the day seungcheol get into the hospital. It’s all because of him.

 

 

Knock Knock Knock

 

“Jisoo-ya I know you’re inside the house, let’s talk. I don’t even understand what you text to me just right now” said seungcheol while knock jisoo’s door

 

Still no answer

 

“jisoo-ya if you still not answer I’ll smash your door for sure, get out right now!”

 

Afraid of seungcheol who got this mad, jisoo brave himself to get out

 

“there’s nothing to talk about anymore cheol.. it’s clear, my text is clear enough for you to understand it”

 

“what the ! Why the hell you ask for break up? you don’t have any reason at all! Nonsense” said seungcheol

 

“there’s no need many reason for me to break up with you, I’m just bored and I want to focus to my job, don’t you understand? Let’s just forget all of this.” said jisoo while he walk downstair

 

Seungcheol who cant accept that kind of reason jisoo gave, he pull jisoo and want aks for more explanation but they don’t really know how danger it could be to fight at stairs, yes it’s happen.

Seungcheol pull jisoo but jisoo try to fight him, and that’s it seungcheol fell from stairs. Jisoo call ambulance immediately.

 

“its my fault. It’s my fault!”

 

Just that word keep on his mind while he go inside the ambulance to take cheol to hospital.

 

“jisoo-ssi? Jisoo-ssi? This is your order” said seungcheol

 

Jisoo realize for his daydream, he see seungcheol face right in front of his face

“ah sorry and thanks seungcheol-ssi”

 

Without jisoo realize his tears already stream down.

 

“eh, something wrong jisoo-ssi?”

 

“what? nothing wrong”

 

“but you’re cry right now” said seungcheol

 

Jisoo wipe his tears “no I’m okay, thanks for taking my order” said jisoo thanked him once again. 

 

Jisoo begin to drink his ice Americano and eat his tuna sandwich while seungcheol go back to the cashier to serve another customer, doesn’t know why seungcheol feel something unusual inside his heart when he see jisoo crying.

 

At break time seungcheol see nana and try to ask him

 

“Nana-ssi, do you know what happen with jisoo-ssi?”

 

Nana stay silent for a second then answer him “how can I know? And why you even think about it, just focus on work choi seungcheol”

 

Cause seungcheol bring up jisoo’s name nana remember her conversation with him at hospital that day

 

At hospital that day,

 

“I know you must be shocked about this but I hope you can understand”

 

“I understand nana-ssi, I’ll not try anything to make him remember—“

 

“that’s not my point” nana said as she cut jisoo  “I just want to say that you can tell him but not now”

 

“it’s okay nana-ssi, it’s my fault. This is the risk I may take, just last thing I want to do,” said jisoo

 

“when he sleep later, please take of his bracelet and give it to me, and I will come visit café once after he discharged from hospital”

 

“wait, you don’t have to do this jisoo-ssi”

 

“it’s okay, it’s my fault. This is a punishment from god for me, well then I’ll leave for now nana-ssi” said jisoo

 

Nana doesn’t really understand why jisoo always blame himself for seungcheol accident, but nana also doesn’t know what happen between them before seungcheol get into hospital.

 

 

It’s been a week after jisoo visit the café, doesn’t know why seungcheol feel that’s something was wrong but doesn’t know what it is. It’s like he missing something in his life. It’s already 8pm and seungcheol shift is over for today.

On his way back home, he go to Carat-Mart he see jisoo, jisoo doesn’t see him though, something wrong. Jisoo look so pale, just when he want to get close to him jisoo stumble, gladly seungcheol hold back his body so he doesn’t falling down.

 

“thank you,--“

 

“no problem jisoo-ssi”

 

“ah seungcheol-ssi, thank you” said jisoo

 

“are you going home after this? I’ll take you. I’m afraid you’ll faint on your way”

 

“ah it’s okay, I’m fine”

 

“nah, I don’t accept rejection” said seungcheol while smile to him

 

Jisoo lead the way to his home,

 

“excuse me,,” said seungcheol as he go inside jisoo’s home while jisoo try to turn on the lamp

 

“sorry if it’s look really messy” said jisoo right before turn his lamp.

 

Seungcheol can’t believe what he see just now, it’s not just messy. It’s really messy as hell. For a boy seungcheol surely was a rather really clean boy, he’s arranged everything nicely.

 

“Jisoo-ssi, I can’t believe you can survive in this home. How can even you stand this messiness?”

 

“it’s as usual I guess” said jisoo…

 

“I can’t, I’ll help you clean this. no rejection!” said seungcheol

 

Jisoo can’t do anything, he just help seungcheol clean up his home, it’s about 45 minute to get jisoo’s living room and kitchen clean, just one door ; jisoo bedroom-his work room,

 

“okay, last one” seungcheol open jisoo bedroom door

Surprisingly it’s clean.

 

“that’s my room, also my place to work, not really messy there” explain jisoo

 

“what you do jisoo-ssi? Your job?” asked seungcheol

 

Shy to admit, jisoo answer him “I’m composing some song and writing a some lyric” said jisoo

 

“cool ~ , everyone in this world can hear your thought then”

 

“isn’t you the cool one seungcheol-ssi? You can make people happy with just the food you make with your hand” said jisoo,,

 

Seungcheol doesn’t know what to say. Realize that situation jisoo open his mouth to offer seungcheol a drink before he leave.

 

“ah I should make you a drink,” said jisoo “you may sit there and waiting for your drink” continue jisoo

 

Seungcheol just nodded and sit there beside jisoo bedroom,.

 

It’s really out of topic but don’t know why I feel happy when he talk about my hand

 

Seungcheol looked around jisoo’s room, he found a picture, a ripped a picture. Strangely in that picture jisoo was smiling happily so why he must ripped it off? Is it his lover? Break up make him want to forget so he ripped it off?

 

Yah! Choi freaking seungcheol! It’s none of your business!

 

“yeah its not my business”

 

“do you speak something?” asked jisoo while bring iced coffee in his hand “iced coffee fine with you right?” asked jisoo

 

Seungcheol just nodded and start drink his ice coffee, one more think feels strange this day, how can this iced coffee match his taste perfectly? Only a few people know that he really like sweet iced coffee. It must be just a coincidence right?

 

 

“so then I’ll take my leave now,” said seungcheol while walking to the front door

 

“thank you very much for helping me seungcheol-ssi”

 

“it’s okay, I’m the one who force you though, also can we just drop the formality? Can you just call me seungcheol? Than I’ll call you jisoo,, if you okay with that”

 

…

 

“sure I’m fine with that, seungcheol. Bye, goodnight” said jisoo

 

“goodnight, jisoo”

 

Jisoo smile at seungcheol, that smile.. eventhough it is a smile, seungcheol found that smile was really sad doesn’t know why. Also he think,

jisoo is a beautiful and gentle person how can he look so lonely. It must be because he’s lover, how could she leave a gentleman like jisoo, she must be regret it later..

 

after seungcheol take his leave from jisoo home, jisoo just can’t get it why seungcheol still kind like the usual his cheol. He just cant accept that seungcheol not that cheol anymore..

It’s a new day with new feeling for seungcheol, doesn’t know why he keep smiling after he wakes up. he keep remembering last night when he help jisoo and ask jisoo to call him without formality.

“what makes you smile so wide? Somehow it’s look kinda strange you know” said nana teasing him

“I think I’m falling in love” said seungcheol

“what? with who?”

“it’s a secret” answer seungcheol

 

“then what make you fell for that person? Him or her?”

“him”

“I don’t really know why for now, but for some reason I want to make him happy” continue seungcheol

 

Nana just nod her head while hear his co-worker

 

“I’ll go out for a while, said seungcheol”

“what for?” asked dongho from the door

“ I want to deliver something”

 

Seungcheol walk to jisoo’s home, he want to give jisoo a food cause somehow he look really thin when he only wear his white thsirt yesterday.

 

“he’s such a skinny boy, I don’t know if he’ll like it” said seungcheol while looking at his plastic bag with iced Americano and a special tuna sandwich he made

 

Knock knock

 

“jisoo?”

 

Knock knock

 

It just have been two days since seungcheol meet jisoo that night, he feel something bad coming. Seungcheol keep trying to knock jisoo door, he hear something inside but not sure it is jisoo or not,. Just before seungcheol broke the door, jisoo open the door with such a bad condition, he’s not well for sure

 

“are you okay jisoo? Are you sick somewhere? Your face really pale right now” asked seungcheol

“I’m okay, it just a flu and fever cause I work over for my deadline”

 

Seungcheol place his forehead against jisoo,

 

“it’s not just a fever, it’s quite high you may take a rest I’ll clean up your place and leave some food for you”

“you don’t need to do it seungcheol-s, I mean seungcheol” said jisoo

 

As usual, no rejection. Seungcheol push jisoo slowly to his bedroom and let him sleep and said it’s okay for him to do that cause it’s what seungcheol want to do

After make sure jisoo is asleep, seungcheol begin to clean up jisoo house and make a “porridge” for and leave the tuna sandwich with ice Americano he brought at dining room

While take a look at jisoo house, he see some ‘couple’ item at jisoo house. Seungcheol make a conclusion by himself

1. Jisoo have a boyfriend/girlfriend (of course he have with that kind of handsome cutie face)
2. He already break up cause the picture at his bedroom already ripped off
3. Now he’s hopeless to confess his love

Right before he take his leave, he go to jisoo bedroom to ask for leave

 

“jisoo… jisoo,, “ said seungcheol while shake jisoo shoulder  slowly, no response

“I’ll leave you for now, don’t forget to eat and drink your medicine okay” whisper seungcheol “I’ll leave now” said seungcheol while try to standing up

 

“NO! don’t leave me” said jisoo suddenly while tears already running down his cheek, he grab the edge of seungcheol shirt

 

Seungcheol freeze at his spot, he doesn’t know what to do

 

“please don’t leave me cheol.. please.. I’m sorry, it’s my fault. I don’t wanna lose you” said jisoo while hug seungcheol tightly

 

Cheol? Is he talking about me? Or there’s another person who he call cheol? His ex lover?

 

Seungcheol try to release himself from jisoo’s hug, jisoo already sleeping again. It such a confuse sleep talking for seungcheol.

 

Seungcheol look at jisoo’s wrist. He wear a bracelet, no he wear two bracelet. 

He also wear a necklace, it seems very important at seungcheol eyes, and seungcheol felt something while looking at the necklace. Like it was in his memory somewhere

With a heavy heart and a confuse feeling seungcheol leave jisoo house, he walk to restaurant while keep thinking what just happening

 

“what take you so long?” asked nana

“..”

“seungcheol? hey?”  nana wave her hand in front of his face

“ah, my friend earlier was sick, so I take care of him for a moment” said seungcheol

“please serve this to table 5” asked nana

 

Seungcheol nodded and take the tray,

 

He serve the food and clean the next table right away, it’s already 4PM he want to go home but he want to see if jisoo’s okay now

Seungcheol hold back his intention, he want to think for now

It such a weird dream for seungcheol, doesn’t know why he dream about jisoo saying all of that in his dream, he never really see jisoo laugh or a sincere  smile from him

One thing for sure, the I’m sorry one seems real for him

 

Seungcheol made up his mind, whatever it is he will confess his feeling to jisoo. He will do it at Christmas eve, it’ll kinda special isn’t it

Seungcheol thinking of buying jisoo a gift but he has no idea what jisoo like, while he thinking at cashier, someone come in

 

“may I help you sir”

“one ice Americano, and one tuna sandwich please”

“it’s like jisoo who order it”

“indeed it’s me” said jisoo then seungcheol look up to see his customer face

 

Seungcheol embrassed, his face become red.

 

“are you feeling well now?” asked seungcheol 

“I’m feeling better now, thank you for your help seungcheol., so how much for my order?” asked jisoo

“it’ll be 11000 won”

“I’ll pay double for your treat yesterday” said jisoo

“no, there’s no need, instead of that can I ask something else?” asked seungcheol

“?”

“would you like spend Christmas eve with me?” asked seungcheol

Jisoo hesitant for a while

“if you cant it’s also okay you know, I know you’re a busy person—“

“it’s okay, is it okay if we just celebrate it at my home? I cant stand crowded place well” explain jisoo

“it’s okay it’s really okay” said seungcheol happily

 

Their talk end right when the next customer coming

Jisoo sit at his chair while thinking is it right to celebrate Christmas eve with him, is it okay for him to do this,

He want to quit but he still miss him, he always miss him

He want cheol back but he know it can’t happen, just how hurt cheol feel when he ask for break up

 

It’s all happen 3 months before that accident, 3 months before seungcheol lose his memory

 

“jisoo ya, jisoo ya, wake up wake up”

 

“why cheol-a?” asked jisoo while he open his eyes, actually he doesn’t really want to wake early, he want to sleep more

 

“today is my nephew’s birthday, can you accompany me to buy a gift and send it to them?,”

 

Honestly jisoo doesn’t really want to go out today, cause he just finish his work 4 hours ago before he sleep and his sleep disturb by his boyfriend, but how can he refuse him when he look at him with his puppy eyes. He can’t

 

“sure, it’s okay, then you take shower now and I will sleep until you finish,” said jisoo while trying to close his eyes again

 

“no. I already took a bath earlier, you should take  shower now, I’ll prepare our breakfast” said seungcheol

 

Giving up of his sleep, jisoo lazily walk to bathroom to take a shower.

 

“what do you think about this one jisoo?” asked seungcheol

 

“hmm it’s good, but let me ask you one thing, how old your nephew and she or he?”

 

“ah, he is 4 years old now,” said cheol

 

“how about you give him something  he like the most, I don’t have brother or sibling so I don’t really know if my opinion can help you”

 

“it’s okay soo-yaa, I think your opinion will be a huge help to me. You always have the best way to help me you know,” said cheol

 

“how about something he find interesting? Game? Ball? Book?”

 

“good idea, I’ll buy him this one then” said seungcheol while take a soccer ball

 

“I’ll pay this, just wait in car soo”

 

“okay, I’ll go to the car first” said jisoo while walk to the car

 

Seungcheol come about 5 minutes later and start drive the car, about 30 minutes later they arrive at seungcheol brother home

 

“mincheol hyung, minaniii” said seungcheol to his brother and his nephew

 

“uncle” said minhwan, while run to seungcheol

 

“who is he uncle?” said minhwan while look at jisoo

 

“ah, he’s uncle friend,”

 

“where’s my present uncle?” said minhwan

 

Cheol took out his present from behind, “this is it”

 

Seungcheol come to jisoo after he play for a while with his nephew, don’t know why jisoo suddenly asked seungcheol

 

“do you like child cheol?”

 

“of course, I love them”
 

Actually it’s a reasonable answer he got, but something keep bothering him. If cheol love child it’s actually a good thing for him to marry a woman than having relationship with jisoo.

 

Jisoo keep thinking that seungcheol will have a bright and nice future if he not end up with someone like him, that’s why he asked for break up.

From : seungcheol

 

I’m on my way.

 

Jisoo feel really nervous right now. He doesn’t know what must he do right now.

Even though he already prepare everything he can do. He prepare the dinner and made a spaghetti which he doesn’t really know if cheol will like it or not.

 

Ting tong. Ting tong. Ting tong

 

He come!

What must I do

Control yourself hong jisoo.

 

Jisoo slowly come to his door to open the door

 

“I’m coming” slowly he open the door

 

“hello” said seungcheol with his bright smile

 

 

It felt awkward for a moment until seungcheol decide to show what he bring to jisoo

 

“cake and some wine will feel good after dinner right”

 

“you don’t have to do that, I don’t want to burden you”

 

“it’s okay jisoo, I’m the one who want to bring this. I don’t know what cake do you like so I got two of them opera and strawberry cheesecake, which one do you prefer?” asked seungcheol

 

 

it’s all my favorite  cake.

How can you still remember me in the deepest f your memory

 

 

“I only prepare my handmade spaghetti I hope you’ll enjoy it” said jisoo while walk to dining room with seungcheol

 

“I’ll enjoy it very well”

 

 

After have dinner both of them eat the cake and have some wine while talking about many thing such as work and their life

 

Seungcheol suddenly get a little drunk after have his 4^th glass meanwhile jisoo drink slowly cause he’s not really good with alcohol drink, he still at his 2^nd glass.

 

While get drunk, slowly seungcheol face got closer to jisoo face. Don’t know what’s in his head at the moment, he said

 

“honestly I think I like you, jisoo” while look deeply at jisoo eyes

 

Jisoo felt shocked for sure

Without even answer it, jisoo run out from his house, trying to escape from reality

 

“jisoo wait—“ it’s too late, jisoo already gone from his sight

 

 

Seungcheol sit at jisoo bed, he looking at jisoo’s home. He feel something but he doesn’t really know what is that, he feels familiar yet he feel this is new to him

He look at a frame next to jisoo bed, the torn picture inside frame when jisoo smile happily he take it and take out the picture. Actually it’s not a torn picture, it just folded. Seungcheol open the folded part,

 

DANG!

 

Seungcheol stand up and get out from jisoo house, running to search jisoo but he doesn’t know where jisoo go.

 

“Mr Hong friend? Right am i? you always come to Mr Hong house almost everyday, ah if you search him I see him earlier walk hurriedly to church”

 

“thank you very much ma’am”

 

Seungcheol hurriedly run to the church, he open the door and find jisoo praying

 

 

“god, is it okay for me to like him once again? Is it okay to be liked by him once again? I already hurt him once. I doesn’t want to hurt him anymore. I already let him go. Why he still want me? How far I must take this pain god? Is it my punishment?

I just want him to be happy even if it’s not with me, as long as he happy” pray jisoo to god

 

“is it—“ not even finished his word, he feel two arm hug him from behind

 

Seungcheol hug him from behind

 

“it’s okay jisoo. It’s okay to liked by me, and it’s okay to like me once again. I’m sorry for everything, I’m sorry that I’m forgetting you” said seungcheol

 

“your mem—“

 

Seungcheol nodded “yes it’s back, I remember everything” 

 

Seungcheol and jisoo walk back to jisoo’s home, they sit on jisoo bed. Silent for a moment, until seungcheol speak up   

 

“I remember everything soo. Our day together and when I fell from the stairs. I’m sorry that I forget about you but I want to make clear this thing, why you asked me for break up? you still love me but you want to break up….. I just want to know what’s your reason”

 

“I-I just want you to happy cheol. When you said you love child I felt like I limit your happiness from have a child. You know when we have this kind relationship, eventhough we love each other and stay loyal to each other I can’t really give you a bright future. As for me being with you is my happiest time because I don’t have anyone else beside you. But for you, I’m sure there will be someone who can make you really happy beside me”

 

Hearing jisoo saying something like that, cheol hugged him tightly and whisper softly

 

“I don’t know you have that kind of thought. You know what, being with you also my happiest time. So don’t say something like break up in the future again soo, just say the thing that bother you so we can fixed all the problem and be happy together and forever”

 

Jisoo sobbing in seungcheol chest when he hear seungcheol said that to him, he never think that cheol will choose him over everything he can have. Jisoo doesn’t know how lucky he is to have someone like seungcheol beside him.

 

Jisoo may make mistake once but today he promise he won’t make the same mistake ever

 

I love you cheol, thanks for always choosing me

I’m happy to have you

 

Me too jisoo, I love you so much

 

Late night has come and it’s time for both of them to sleep after being tired all day long
