It was a breezy spring day when Kim Taehyung ran through the street, lab coat in hand, rushing to get to the lab. He had an epiphany, you see, in his dream the previous night and this, yes this, was going to be the day. It was finally going to be the day that he proved to everyone that parallel universes existed and he could not possibly be any more excited than he already was, so as soon as he saw the little green man appear on the other side, he sprinted across. He anticipated running into someone on the way, of course, he always bumped into people when he sped to the lab, but never, never, had he run into someone like this.

The air was knocked from his lungs, his glasses thrown off in the collision but instinctively caught by the person opposite him(without even touching the glass, might he add. Impressive.), and he was thrown off of his feet, landing unceremoniously on his , ungracefully ripping his jeans just enough to show off his purple Hulk boxers when he stood again, tears streaking both his and the stranger’s faces. No, no this person wasn’t a stranger. His name was Jeon Jungkook, Taehyung’s estranged lover from his past life and the latter had the strangest urge to wipe his tears for him.

In this world, if you ever happened to touch someone from your past life, you would suddenly have all of your memories regarding them and feel all of the emotions that your past self felt because of them in turn. It was instantaneous, like a bullet through your heart, that left you breathless, in pain, and wondering if that was really the end. In Taehyung’s case, though, it was a bullet through Jungkook’s heart, not his own, and he wondered why he was the one who fell.
