a/n: this was written back in october when i was volunteering in an organisation to teach young kids (i was attached to the 4-year-old class) and i loved working there so much T_T i love the kids so much i really miss them a lot now asdfghjkl this was a common scene for me (ok not very common but it did happen) because my 'shift' ends at a time that they're already asleep means i make them nap then i leave before they're awake it's so heartwrenching at times i remember tearing up ;-;
"Nayoung-ni," the child mumbles with her eyes slightly open.
"Hmm?" Nayoung's hand halts a little, but continues petting the child to sleep almost immediately after.
"Can you not leave?" Sejeong asks, almost begging.
"Okay, I'll stay here," Nayoung lightly pats her as she says, "I'll stay here till you sleep, don't worry," she ends with a smile.
"Then if I don't fall asleep, you won't leave right?" Sejeong cannot help but ask.
"Don't be silly," Nayoung laughs lightly, "I'm always here," she says. "Now go to sleep," she pats Sejeong once again and her hair.
Sejeong quietly nods and closes her eyes.
