Taeyeon opens her car’s window so she can feel the light breeze brush her face in the middle of the night. Silent night is so comforting.

Safe driving. No more than 40 km/h.

Dim Street light. Blue moon.

Summer breeze.

Broken heart.

 

She sigh.

Again.

 

Red light. Stop.

 

And right there, in the middle of the road lying a girl in a white summer dress. Taeyeon nearly screams. Aloud, scarily. She thought something eerily would come up. But nothing. Nothing happened.

The traffic light changed to the green. She looks in the rear-view mirror, again and again, afraid that some unnoticed people would hit that girl in the middle of the road.

Is she dead?

Taeyeon open her car’s door slowly, sacredly.

“Ex.. Excuse me miss..?” whisper her. The girl didn’t even flinch.

“Miss..?” again, louder. Step closer. “Are you drunk?”

Taeyeon kicks the girl toes lightly, fully alert.

“You can get killed, you know”

 

A constant sound of frogs and bugs bugging her so much.

“Are you ghost?” Taeyeon starts to crouched near her, poking her arm. “Did you die here?”

 

The girl suddenly open her eyes.

Taeyeon shrieks loudly as her small body fall backward. She covers her ears and shut her eyes tightly. “KYAAAH!!! NO DON’T EAT ME YOU PRETTY CUTE GHOST! NO!”

“I’m sorry! I’m sorry to bother you! Not again, I promise! I promise!”

“Here take my car!” and she starts to cry a little.

“MOM!!!!”

 

A solid 5 minutes passed and Taeyeon slowely open her eyes. There she is standing with unreadable expression.

“Uhm..” the ghost girl said.

“AAAAH!”

 

“..i’m not ghost.. or whatever..”

“.. you sure?”

“Pretty sure”

“..right..”

“.. whatever, bye”

“Wait!”

“what?”

“Why are you lying in the middle of the road?”

“Why should I answer that?”

“Just.. curious I guess?”

 

The girl looks deeply in the Taeyeon’s gloomy eyes and sigh.

“Why are you sad?” asked the girl.

“Huh?”

“Your eyes tell me everything”

Taeyeon diverted her focus to somewhere else except the girl’s in front of her.

“I need to go”

“Your heart is broken”

“I don’t know what you are talking about”

“My name’s Tiffany”

“I’ll get going Tiffany. Stay safe”

“The sky’s too beautiful, that’s why”

 

Insane girl. I need to escape!

“Don’t do that again, you’ll get killed. Bye” Taeyeon starts her car and close the door. “Night, Tiffany”

“What’s your name?”

“Why do I need to tell you?”

“Because it’s only right to introduce yourself when you already know my name”

“..right” she shook her head. “Taeyeon”

 

“I’ll see you soon, Taeyeon”

“I don’t think so”

“I feel so”

“..weird girl” mumbled Taeyeon. “Good night strange girl” and she drove off leaving the girl with the white summer dress standing there watching her car drove off.
