THORNED

What he didn’t know was that he had awaken the curse, the princess had placed a curse on yi wu because he had denied to marry her the princess has decided to punish him for causing such humiliation promising to marry a commoner she cursed him by yi wu becoming immortal. The sunny sky has bloomed into a dark cloudy day rain pouring heavily that afternoon yi wu received the news that his fiancé had passed by he believed the weather fit his scenario perfectly his tears being disguised by the rain is screams being blown into the wind his knees weakening causing him to kneel into the muddy ground as if he was apologizing to her. That night he prayed for her to rest and that they would meet in the next life. As the years passed yi wu came to realization that he had not aged since they day he pricked his finger on the thorn and the flower had not fully bloomed or withered it seemed as if the flower was frozen in time. Many close to him would joke with him asking him what skincare products he would use or if someone had placed a curse on him then it hit him like a ton of bricks maybe his friends weren’t wrong where he stayed black magic wasn’t unusual it was a common practice many used. One day wondering into the province that was near the base he asked around if anyone knew about the practice of white and black magic receiving frightening looks from the townspeople he was finally given an answer an old man nearby knew about those things. Upon arriving at the small cottage the old man was located in he entered after talking and explaining to the man yi wu pulled out the rose from his bag the old man examined the rose before confirming yi wu’s fear he was cursed. The old man pitied the young boy in front of him placing a hand on the young boys shoulder he gave it a small squeeze he explained to the lad how he had been cursed the worst way there was and that was by death. Yi wu would watch the people around him wither and die but he himself would not age nor die, from now on death would surround him not happiness. As he made his way back to the base he recalled how the old man has told him that they might be a way to break the curse but it he didn’t know if it would fully undo the curse it was by finding his true love once he had found his true love the flower petals would begin to fall he had until the last petal for the spell to be broken his true love had to truly love him. Yi wu faked his death in 1942 he “died” in a bombing in Hiroshima, Japan. Yi wu attended his own burial where he watched from afar the people he loved mourn over his death during the burial he locked eyes with the princess for a while giving him a smirk she walked off he wanted nothing more than to confront her but he couldn’t for he was “dead”. As the years passed many of the people he loved began to die attending their burials from a distance he would gift them with a white rose on their grave and prayed for them to lay at rest. Soon he would be left alone everyone he once knew would be gone they were in another world. What he didn’t know was that he had awaken the curse, the princess had placed a curse on yi wu because he had denied to marry her the princess has decided to punish him for causing such humiliation promising to marry a commoner she cursed him by yi wu becoming immortal.
