Welcome to MoDu High School. The most elite school in South Korea. Only the top and riches students in the world are able to enter the school. The school is famous for two things. They have every and any subject any child would have ever wanted to study and their basketball team. The school is not only known for their brains but brawns as well. The school will never fail to be the national champions in terms of basketball. 

Their school, however, offers an opportunity for talented students who wishes to enter their school using an activity, (especially basketball). Provided their grades are up to decor. But these students would be given a mentor till they reach the end of year 2 where their Mentors graduate. Usually the top few in school. They will only open up a maximum of 5 spaces.

If you're wondering how they'll assign their mentors. When they enter year 1 they'll be assigned immediately. Their mentors are from the Year 2, top 5 in the cohort. The mentor is in charge of the work and well-being of the year 1 to not cause trouble and be able to cope with their work if not the year 1 would be expelled and the mentor will also face consequences.

Choi Seungcheol, 18

Major: Sports Science and Lifestyle 

School Ranking:1st

Activity: Basketball

Personality: On the outside, he looks cold and arrogant. 
But if you get to know him better and grow closer to him,
you'll see he is just a broken vulnerable boy putting up a 
strong front but in actual fact is secretly seeking the love 
that he has never before received.

He is the captain of the MoDu High Basketball team.
His step-father is the Principal of MoDu High School. But
He didn't get in because of his father but through his
own hard work in both studies and basketball. 

Mentee: Yoon Jeonghan 

 

Jeon Wonwoo, 18

Major: Human Psychology (Study of the human brain)

School Ranking: 2nd 

Activity: Librarian 

Personality: Introvert. He looks cold and is cold. 
But only to people he find annoying. He doesn't 
speak much (apart from telling people about the 
facts of Human Psychology). But if he does speak
up, its to burn you deep at times. That's the deep
secret sassiness he has in him. 

He was offered a scholarship for the results he got when 
he was in middle school. Thus ending up getting a spot in 
MoDu High. He is the head librarian of MoDu High.He is
someone very secretive. Secrets only his friends know. In
his life the only people he ever trusted were his friends. 

Mentee: Kim Mingyu 

 

Wen JunHui, 18

Major: Chinese Literature

School Rank: 3rd 

Activity: Drama

Personality: Cheeky, very playful like.
But that's only on the outside. He has 
a secret past that not even his friends 
know about. Because of his past, he's 
become traumatic over things. 

He is Chinese who was also offered a 
scholarship to study at MoDu High. He
works as part-time model and a full-time 
actor (only when there is a job offer).The 
money earned is to pay for his school fees.

Mentee: Xu MingHao

Boo Seungkwan, 18

Major: Geographical Science

School Rank: 4th

Activity: Show Choir

Personality: Sassiest Diva you'll ever meet.
Wonwoo got his sass from him. He is 
very talkative. The total opposite of Wonwoo. 
But if he's upset he'll be quiet and drawn back.
Total momma's boy.

Seungkwan got him through his parent's money.
It's not like he wanted to but his parents insisted.
Plus his parents own the whole of Jeju-do and one-fifth
of the school's market. Seungkwan loves his parents but
he can't help but hate how his parents are pampering him.

Mentee: Vernon Choi Hansol 

 

Kwon Soonyoung, 18

Major: Music and Cultural History

School Rank: 5th

Activity: Dance

Personality: He is an extrovert extremist (?) 
He is very happy-go-lucky. So far nobody has 
seen him angry or upset before. Rumor has it 
that when he's upset he'll dance it off. 

Best dancer in the school. He's the leader of the 
school's dance team. He does many covers of Kpop
Idols, especially SHINee. He was scouted by the 
dance teacher of MoDu High and was offered a place.
However, because he did so well in year 1-jumping
from last few to 5th-, the school gave him a choice to
drop his mentor. Which he did. Because he didn't like
how his mentor was treating him.  

Mentee: Lee Jihoon

 

YEAR 1s

Yoon Jeonghan, 17

Major: Sports Science and Lifestyle

Activity: Choir

Personality: Lazy af. Like literally. He hates studying.
He'll grab every opportunity he has just to sleep. But 
when it's time for Physical Education or talk to him about
playing sports, He'll be competitive and even do his best
to just trash you at it. People question him why doesn't 
he just join the basketball team, and he replies would be 
"Lazy~" Just by taking the subject about it would be enough
for him.

One things for sure is that Jeonghan got scouted not for 
sports but for singing. The weirdest thing was he was 
scouted by the principal who saw a video of him being 
dared to sing Because of you by After School, that went
viral. At first when the school offered him a space, he
rejected them saying he wasn't interested, plus his results
were bad. Like literally. So the principal made a deal that if
Jeonghan did his best and manage to reach the school's
requirement, he'll give him a scholarship and allow him to
meet his favourite idol, S.Coups from Seventeen. But that
didn't turn out well (Await the story, and read it!~)

Kim Mingyu, 17

Major: Human Psychology 

Activity: Basketball

Personality: Prideful. Especially in terms of basketball. A
carefree guy that doesn't really give a damn about his studies. 
The new Playboy of MoDu High. On the outside, he may seem
like that but he is actually really broken inside. This only his
close friends knew about. 

He represented the best basketball team in middle school, 
and got scouted by MoDu High. What motivated to study was
the offer that they had for him, scholarship included. If he
wasn't offered, he'd probably have dropped out of school just to
play basketball. His parents gave up on him long ago on his
last year of middle school, when his teachers told them, he wouldn't 
be able to make it to High school. Who knew he would end up in the best
school in South Korea. But he barely got in.
So the only course that was available for him was Human Psychology.

Mentor: Jeon Wonwoo

 

Xu Minghao, 17

Major: Chinese Literature

Activity: Wushu

Personality: Might look sweet on the outside but on the inside he may
kill you anytime, if he ever feels threatened by what you say about
him he'll kill you if he has a chance to. But he has his secrets.

He was scouted on the streets by the school supervisor who caught him
in a fight with a local gangster, just because he stared at him.
He was a school dropout who just lost his parents and quit just to work.The supervisor
of the school ended up tailing them all the way to the police station where
he bailed him out, offering him a spot. Provided he doesn't go back to fighting
and goes back to school to study. He agreed and worked hard.

Mentor: Wen Junhui

 

Vernon Chwe Hansol, 17

Major: Geographical Science

Activity: Hip Hop

Personality: Quiet innocent looking boy. Playful too. 
Loves to joke around and act funny. Secretly feels insecure
about how he is mixed American Korean. But nobody
knows about it. 

He got scouted by a school teacher when he took part in
a freestyle rap and dance competition. Hansol got first place
but despite getting first there were many that despised him
because he was different. But the teacher of MoDu saw it different.
So he was offered a scholarship. But because he was so focused on 
Hip Hop, His results were bad. But he decided to give it a shot and
do his best. He ended up getting accepted
but, like Mingyu, the Subject major wasn't a choice he had. 

Lee Jihoon, 17

Major: Music and cultural History. 

Activity: Choir

Personality: Demanding. When I say demanding I
mean demanding attention. Because of the lack of
care, he has received from his parents. Despite having
close friends, he'd rather be alone all the time. And when
he's alone he'd be writing songs.

Jihoon was introduced to MoDu High Music executives
by his teachers in middle school, for his songs that he 
had written. Jihoon has also did some covers on his song 
and even played his guitar, drum and even piano along with
it. Jihoon was soon offered a place in MoDu High for the
school's Choir, singer songwriter and musician. He's parents
weren't very supportive of the idea of him concentrating on music
so MoDu made a deal him that if he does well for his end year 
they'll offer Jihoon a scholarship and maybe even get Music 
executives to sign him if he does well at the end of his High 
School Years.
