Sarang POV

*Home*

" L-let's hurry and get you out these clothes. " I said quickly looking for some clothes that would fit her. She breathed an airy chuckle, " Wait, we haven't even held hands yet. "

My face felt warm as I realized what she meant.

" S-shut up. I didn't mean it that way you " She let out another laugh as she tiredly grabbed the clothes in my hands.

" Where is your bathroom? I need a shower." she asked. I pointed to the door towards the right close to my closet. She nodded her head and slowly limped to the bathroom. I couldn't help but to look at her sadly. I wanted to ask what happened, but I didn't want to risk her getting angry at me for meddling.

" Unnie-" I hear a small voice call for me from the door , " Appa is home. He wants to talk to you."

My breath hitched a little as the thought of him, maybe being angry at me for not calling him first. What if-

" Sarang unnie?"

" Ah, sorry. H-here I come Haru" I said, scrambling to the door. I made my way down the stairs hesitantly.

" Sarang-ssi~" Yongguk-ssi called out to me as I walked to the front room.

" N-ne, Yongguk-ssi

"

" What's wrong, you look shook? " He looked at me worriedly as I slightly shivered, trying to hold in my anxiety.

Breath ... Breath

" Unnie's friend almost got hit by a car today." Haru quickly said. Yongguk-ssi's eyes widen as he scans me over in worry. I squirmed a little under his gaze.

" Yea! Noona was like a superhero! She swooped in and saved him." Minnie chirped.

" I-I wouldn't say it like that - " I awkwardly rubbed the back of my neck , " Plus, it's not a he. She's a girl Minnie." I said to the younger.

" But you said oppa."

" A-ah um that's -"

" Are you okay? You didn't get hurt did you?" Yongguk looked at me worriedly. It made me feel very warm yet uncomfortable. Kind of like how Dongwook looks at me sometimes: Cold yet warm.

" Sarang? Appo?" he steps dangerously close. I step back awkwardly with a smile. A spark of realization went across his face and he gave me a little space as he mumbles a sorry.

" N-no, I'm okay. I didn't get hurt, but Amber is a little." I said quickly.

" Where is your friend?" He asked, concerned

" I-I hope you don't mind but she's upstairs taking a shower. She was drenched s-so I told her to take a warm shower. She's a little sore and walking a bit weirdly." I said looking down. What really happened to her?

" No, it's totally okay, but should we take her to the hospital? " He asked

" I don't think she wants to go. Plus it wasn't serious, just a few little scratches." Haru said in my stead. I just nodded in agreement. .

A sigh left Yongguk-ssi as he looked at us. He walked towards me and rose his hand. I flench out of fear, but his rough yet gentle hands to pet my hair. I looked at the older with big questioning eyes.

" You did a good job Sarang~ but don't do anything like that again okay? I don't want you to get hurt." he spoke gently despite his rough deep voice.

'Her heart is fluttering''

" Y-yes sir. I'm sorry" I looked down and he chuckled.

" Sarang-ah~" Amber called for me. Everyone turned to look at her as she wobbled down the stairs.

" Ne? Are you feeling alright now?" I asked and she smiled brightly.

" I'm feeling great now. Just a little sore here and there" She said and I nodded.

" What happened? Why were you drenched?" Haru asked.

" I-I was..." Amber's face flashed in worry and fear. I know that face very well. That very image was once on mines, many times before. Something happened, but she's afraid to say what's wrong.

" Haru, she'll tell us when she's ready. I don't think she's comfortable saying it right now. " I petted Haru's hair as she pouted. A silent sigh left Amber as she looked thankful.

Something must've happened....

Yongguk nervously cleared his throat and put on his gummy smile.

" Well, hello my name is Bang Yongguk and these are my kids, Haru & Taemin. We are

Sarang's host family. Nice to be meeting you Amber-ssi." Yongguk said.

" Ah Mr.Bang!?" Amber cheered and Yongguk was a bit taken back.

" Y-yes that's my name..?" he awkwardly smiled.

" Aren't you one of the producers who help with the trainees at the school?" Amber exclaimed.

" Ah yes! You must be a student. Nice to meet one of our potential artists. " Yongguk smiled slightly.

" Omg I can't believe you got to be close with one of the most famous rappers and producer under T.S! " Yongguk shyly smiled at the compliment.

" R-really? I didn't know. " I smiled awkwardly.

" Whhhhhat?!" I jumped a little at Amber's loud.

" I-I'm sorry.."

" It's okay Sarang." Yongguk chuckled and patted my head. That's something I'm going to have to get used to.

" Amber-ssi , are you okay enough to come hang out with us today? I don't want to just leave you here or do you want me to take you home?" Yongguk asked and the same expression of fear crossed her face.

Is something wrong at home?

" Y-yeah, Amber come hang out with us today. I-I want to get to know you more." I walked towards her with a smile. She looked at me again with thankful eyes and nodded.

" Of course! What are we doing today?" she asked and I looked at Yongguk.

" We're gonna venture around the town a bit and see some attractions. Then we'll go to the night market, buy some food, and go see the light show at the river by the park close by." He said and the kids cheered.

" We haven't gone to go see the lights in a long time!I can't wait to go see them again" Haru chirped and Taemin bounced with her excitedly. A smile played on Yongguk face as he looked at his children.

" I haven't been to see the lights before." Amber awkwardly rubs the nape of her neck.

" Really, Hyung?!" Taemin chirps in surprise. I looked at Taemin crazily.

" Minnie , she's your noona. " Yongguk chuckles.

" Ani~ Sarang noona called her oppa so I'm going to join the game too!" Taemin huffed. A chuckled left Amber's lips.

" I-I uh..."

" It's okay, Sarang. You can call me hyung buddy. " she ruffled Taemin's hair as Taemin stuck his tongue at me. A chuckle left me also.

" Alright, let me call Hara and see if she's gonna meet us there-"

" No! " both of the kids refused. I wonder why the kids were so against their mother. Is Hara their real mother?

" Just us then? " Yongguk said a little bit disappointed . The kids nodded and rushed to put on their shoes. Yongguk sighed and followed behind.

Me and Amber looked at each other and shrugged which soon followed us both laughing.

We all quickly got into the car. I sat in the front seat with Yongguk and the kids sat in the two seats in the middle and Amber sat alone in the back.

*Beep Beep*

A black van drove into the driveway as we were about to leave. It looks like what idol uses to get around.

" Yeobo Yeobo!! Don't leave without me!!" Ms.Hara screamed as she quickly got out of the van and ran to ours.

" Babe!! Hurry and get in. Sarang go sit with Amber in the back, please? " I nodded and got out.

" Ommo hey my chocolate drop! " Hara screamed as she hugged me. I flinched because she was so loud I could cry. That's another thing I need to get used to.

" H-hi unnie. " I hugged back awkwardly and we switch places. I sat next to Amber but her face looks frightened. I nudged her a little and she smiles at me in a weird way. Hara kissed Yongguk which made the kids cringe loudly. I laughed at their reactions; they are so cute.

" I guess we get to sit next to each other, chagi~" Amber whispered and I chuckled.

We've begun to drive around as Yongguk tried to explain the places as we passed like a tour guide. The kids played around until they felt tired and fell asleep. It was cringe, but it was fun. Amber smiled and laughed, but i could tell she was still uncomfortable . Maybe she's in pain? I don't know, but she seems...off.

" Okay, we're going to get some gas and then drive to my favorite barbeque restaurant that's a little out so hold kids~~" Ms.Hara stated.

" So jagi-" Amber poked me and I looked at her.

" Since it's going to be awhile let's just ask random questions to pass time" I responded with a smile.

" Favorite color?" Amber asked.

" Umm green and black I-I guess, but I like wearing black and red most of the time. You?" I responded.

" Yasss I love red!" she screeches. Everyone chuckled at her response.

" I love how happy and cheerful you are Amber-ssi" Ms.Hara states.

" U-uh thank you, miss." Amber eyes shifted.

" Just call me unnie okay!" Ms.Hara said in her usual cheery loud voice.

I felt the weird aura in the air, but decided against it. I know Amber isn't feeling well.

" Um- Cats or dogs?" I ask.

" Hmmm~ I have a pup but I do like cats a bit more." Amber said

" Ah~ I had a cat but she lives with my Gramps. I uh, I like dogs too, but I never had one as a pet." I said and Amber nodded.

" Now, that I think about it, should we get a pet?" Hara looks at Yongguk-ssi

" What!? No. You can barely come home because of work. Let alone take care of a pet." Yongguk-ssi chuckles as she pouts. He got out of the car to go pay far gas. They are really cute together. I wish I can find someone like that.

' You have me ..'

" Sleeping habits?" Amber asked. My mind began to get conflicted thinking on if I should be truthful or just hide it. I mean I can tell her my usual ones ...

" A-ah I tend to go to sleep late and wake up early. " I said. Not lying but not telling the whole truth is still being truthful right?

'Tsk Tsk '

" How is that even possible?" Amber looked at me shocked. I chuckled and shrugged.

" That's not good Sarang. You must get atleast 8hrs so you dont age too quickly. When you get my age you gotta be a beauty! I mean you got some work to do but still." Hara said laughing.

I began to feel uncomfortable since she practically called me ugly...

" Ayeee Stop doing that Hara. My wife is totally a goddess but our Sarang is beautiful also." Yongguk-ssi says as he get into the car. My face became 10x warmer to the point I think I caught a fever.

" I agree my jagi is a total queen. " Amber shook me playfully. I couldn't help but feel a bit better.

" I didn't mean it like that Sarang. I'm sorry~" Hara pouted. I nodded at her and a smile played on her face. Her smile is so contagious and sweet that I couldn't help but to forgiving her. We began to drive again and me & Amber continued to ask each other questions.

" Okay~ This question will determine our friendship." Amber said seriously.

" What kind of question could it be to determine our relationship, oppa?" I chuckled and she looked at me seriously.

" I'm serious, jagi. As an artist I have to know what you like. The music a person listens to determines what type of person they are. " Amber says as she looks at me questioningly.

" I kind of agree. You can tell what a person is like by what they listen to. Especially when it comes to an artist. You can tell what kind of person they are by what music they make but then again many people have a persona they go for and you can never know what's real or not. " Yongguk-ssi said.

" Wah ~ cool words from the greatest producer out there." Amber said gawking at him.

" Ya~ my husband is totally cool." Hara said and Yongguk chuckles as he waves his hand.

" So, what type of music do you like?" Amber asks.

" W-well I love all types of music. I tend to listen to all genres as long as it sounds good to me." I said to take the safe route.

" Explain further." Amber said still holding the same expression. I took a deep breath and began:

" Lately, I've been really into dreamy like music. Those types of songs that are aesthetically pleasing and makes me feel as if I'm on another planet. It relaxes me and makes me feel good. Other than that I really do just love music in general. I appreciate the art itself in it's entirety . If i can feel it in my body, if it makes me move, or even makes me feel calm I love it. I feel music in general is just an amazing way to communicate what that person is feeling. Music is what move the world and what can bring many together so for me the genre doesn't matter as long as it moves me." I didn't notice that I was babbling.

" I-I'm sorry. I get so excited when I talk about music. You didn't wanna hear all that."

Amber looked at me in shock that turned into a wide grin.

" You almost sound like an experienced music legend jagi! Pass. You've absolutely passed." Amber squealed.

" That is the most I've heard you spoke, Sarang. Hearing you say that makes me happy and excited to see what you will show in these couple of months. Maybe, I'll even take you under my wing, if you like?" Yongguk looked at me with a smile.

' Her heart is beating fast again. '

" Y-yeah very passionate. You're very cool, Sarang." Hara looked at Yongguk and me with a weird smile. I couldn't help but to think she was feeling a bit weird because of her husband's comments. But why? I don't know. I'm not much....

" I-I would like that Yongguk-ssi." I said with a shy smile.

" The perks of being family with a famous person. " Amber shook her head playfully and we all laughed.

We've drove a bit until we went to go eat. We all ate as we joked and laughed happily amongst each other.

" I'm sorry I won't get to go with you guys to the night market but I swear I'll make it up to you guys." Hara says as she get into her manager's car.

" What a shame. " Yongguk sulked a little but smiled again when Haru grabbed his hand.

" It's okay Appa~ We'll still have fun! At least we have Sarang unnie and handsome unnie" Haru cheered and so did Taemin

" See Sarang! She called me handsome. I am the hottest lama out there" Amber posed which earned a laugh from everyone.

" You are a really strange llama but okay." I chuckled.

* The night market*

" Amber hyung!look at the fishes!!!" the kids ran and laughed as we walked through the market.

" They are so hyper " I said to Amber but she disappeared. I looked around but I also saw her screaming with the kids as they looked at the different seafood on display.

" Oi ! Sarang there's octopus!" Amber screamed as the vendor ahjumma brung the live octopus to her face.

"This kid is seriously too much" I chuckled and sighed.

" Haha but they are so cute ain't they?" I jumped a little at the deep yet tender voice by my ear. I turned to see Yongguk there with his nice smile.

" Y-yeah. I love how close they've gotten in this short time." I said shyly twiddling my fingers.

" Hey, Sarang." Yongguk called out to me. I looked up at the man questioningly.

" You don't have to be shy around me. I won't judge or try to hurt you. " I hanged my head low and mutter a sorry. I didn't mean to make him feel like I was trying to be distant I just...

" Yah, don't be sorry. You did nothing wrong." he chuckled as his rough yet gentle hands ruffled my hair, " I just want you to be comfortable around me. I might sound and look scary but I'm nice." I nodded in response.

We began to walk around together as we watch Amber and the kids run around. It was such a sight to see. They were really enjoying themselves. Soon we were all in the car driving to the river close to the house. The kids fell asleep on the way tired out from

today's adventures.

* The river*

" Alright, we have a few minutes left until the show so hurry and pick a spot and I'll go get us some ramen and beer.. I mean some drinks. Y'all not old enough" Yongguk said and we chuckled as we carried the mat and stuff to our spot. He ran towards the convenience store leaving us to set up.

" Here should be good." Amber said laying out our mat close by the river but not to close. I helped spreading out the mat and get our covers out.

We both plopped on the mat with a content sigh laying down looking at the clear sky.

" I'm so glad you found me today." Amber said closing her eyes, " I don't know where I'd be right now if I didn't meet you. I guess this is what you call love at first sight? Or more like friendship at first sight?" Amber chuckled

" " I chuckled.

" Haha but you love me already though. Anyways but seriously, I had a lot of fun today. The most fun I've ever had in a long time. I just wish moments will just stay like this. " I looked at Amber to see that familiar look of sadness I know too well. Something must be going on at home... It has to be something

" I-I feel the same, oppa. Wouldn't it be great to be stuck at this moment forever... Happy " Amber looked at me as if she realized something.

" Thank you for not asking about earlier and stopping Haru from questioning me. I know it's strange but maybe one day I can tell you."

" I totally understand. Tell me when you're ready." and maybe one day I can tell you mines too.

" Alright teens coming in hot with the ramen and tteobokki" Yongguk said walking to us. A smile played on Amber's lips again as she greeted him.

" Hehe I can't believe I'm actually eating with you ,sir." Amber said happily as she grabbed a mouth full of noodles.

" Call me oppa or hyung. Well whatever you like Amber. If you're a friend of Sarang then you're a friend of mines also. So eat up little one. You've been running with the kids all day. " Yongguk said as he put some more sausages on Amber's small saucer.

Soon enough the river began to light up in different hues of colors that beautifully painted the night. It was so beautiful I was at lost for words.

" Wahhh~~" Amber screamed .

" I forgot you guys never seen it before. It's beautiful isn't it?" Yongguk said and we both nodded.

" Thank you so much, hyung. " Amber said with a few tears secretly falling. I don't think he noticed but he gave Amber a side hug and shook her in comfort. I smiled at the sight.

" Come here Sarang. You can get some dad love too. Bring it in~" Yongguk said reaching his hand to me. I shook my head kindly but he didn't care and drug me into his other side.

" I hope this is something you guys can remember. I want to make more memories with you guys and hope that this can inspire you to make beautiful music. Beautiful moments like this is worth more than just words but we can always turn it into more. Amber I hope you'll be friends with us for a long time and Sarang I hope that these next few months for you will be the best for you. I hope we can also become close friends. I want you guys to become successful in whatever you decide to do in life. "

How can he say so much without even knowing me? How can he...

" I say this because I know you're very shy and it's hard for you to get close to us but I want to treat you like family. Also, I see the passion in you and I hope one day you'll let me hear your songs. Maybe even sing one of mines. Same goes for you Amber; you're family now. If there's anything you need me for just come to me. We are here for you" He says looking off in the distance

" How did you?" Amber was about to talk but Yongguk stopped her.

" Dad intuition is a funny thing." Yongguk chuckled as he still hugged us as we watch the scenery before us.

My heart felt so light yet so heavy because I never thought I would get to feel this way. To feel like I belong...Happiness....to have a relationship called friendship. I felt so sad that I never got that feeling before but so happy I get to feel it now. This feeling of wanting to have this moment forever is so sad but yet so sweet. I want this moment forever but

there's no such thing.

Well for me there's no such thing.
