Jihoon’s mood that day makes people around him cringed, even with Seungkwan constantly bothered him there was no fatal move he did. Seungkwan called it ‘end of the world day’ but Jihoon just shrugged it off, it was his boyfriend’s birthday and nobody going to change this festive mood into a nasty one. He wanted to be the first one who greeted the elder’s birthday but apparently all seventeen members decided to greet their leader together right when the clock strikes 12 midnight. Jihoon felt disappointed for that, he wanted to be the one, the only one and the first one for Seungcheol. As expected the leader was really touched by what they did, although it was a great night with all of them but still Jihoon felt something was missing if he never did something special, for the past few years it had always been Seungcheol did everything for Jihoon, this year Jihoon had already made up his mind to surprise Seungcheol but definitely not with all s around.

Apparently that day went passed by without Jihoon knowing, rehearsal, concert, 8 august nearly over, Jihoon sighed feeling frustrated, out of him knowing he had been extremely quiet after the concert, keep ignoring all s and scolded Seungkwan when he disturbed his train of thoughts

“One more time you do that I’m going to throw you from the balcony” Jihoon threatened Seungkwan

“Ow our king of sarcasm Jihoonnie hyung finally you are back, tomorrow is still going to come!” Seungkwan cheers and if Dokyeom wasn’t around maybe tomorrow was really not going to come for Seungkwan.

Seungcheol happily thanked s who again celebrating his birthday before it was over, his 95 line friends and his favorite maknae, Dino celebrated his birthday again at the hotel when he was doing v-app shows for his fans. Although it was a happy moment still, Seungcheol felt something big was missing and it was Jihoon, the latter hadn’t personally greeted him after all Seungcheol didn’t want anything else on his birthday other than Jihoon on his embrace but there was no sign of the younger coming to his room, maybe he already sleeping since they had a busy day it was acceptable until suddenly Seungcheol realized they haven’t had proper chat that day, Jihoon greeted him birthday with the others but after that? Nothing. Seungcheol looked at his phone incase he missed any message from Jihoon but no, there was no message from Jihoon and it scared Seungcheol, it wasn’t like Jihoon always texted him but at least Jihoon would send him a message before he went to sleep whenever he can, worriedly Seungcheol stood up from his bed, put on his hoodie and nearly went out when Mingyu stopped him

“Wait a minute hyung, where are you going?”

“I need to see Jihoon, contact me if you need anything” Seungcheol explained in hurry he had no idea why but he had a bad feeling about his boyfriend that night

“He locked himself inside the room alone, there was no way you can go into his room”

“Damn… what happened to him? It’s ok I’ll just get out manager to give me spare key”

“You don’t have to, here’s your birthday gift from me” Seungcheol stared in awe when he saw a hotel’s key with Jihoon’s room number on it

“You’re the best”

“I know” Mingyu chuckled but Seungcheol was already half running to Jihoon’s room

Seungcheol opened the door slowly just to find the room was dark and he was greeted by a flying pillow when he moved closer to Jihoon’s bed

“I TOLD YOU LEAVE ME ALONE” Jihoon shouted and Seungcheol had to hug the younger in the dark to calm him down

“Relax ji… it’s me…” Seungcheol smiled when Jihoon relaxed against his body, for few minutes no words come out from any of the two, Jihoon still hiding on Seungcheol’s broad chest and the latter just caressed his back gently trying to soothe his boyfriend

“Um…” Jihoon finally let out his voice

“There it is… my favorite voice in this world” Seungcheol grinned when Jihoon muttered ‘sappy king’ “so what were you doing hiding here alone in the dark and I heard you nearly killed Seungkwan tonight”

“That brat” Jihoon let out a sighed and shook his head trying to get his mind clear before he explained everything to Seungcheol “I’m sorry” the moment Jihoon said that Seungcheol immediately the bedside lamp and looked at Jihoon’s eyes sharply

“For what?” no matter what happened, Seungcheol really didn’t like whenever Jihoon said sorry to him

“for … today… for not celebrating your birthday properly” Jihoon rolled over to the side of the bed and covered his face with blanket, Seungcheol chuckled, he moved closer to Jihoon and tried to take off the blanket covering his boyfriend’s face “go away I want to sleep”

“Can’t let go my boyfriend just like that when he’s being so adorable can I?” Seungcheol teased Jihoon

“Go away I don’t want to see you” Jihoon buried his face deeper under the blanket

“Is that your way to say ‘happy birthday’?” Seungcheol finally managed to open up the blanket and looked into blushed Jihoon “right Jihoonnie?” Seungcheol laughed when Jihoon muttered ‘’ to him “thank you baby I feel so loved” Seungcheol rolled over Jihoon so the younger could lie on top of him, Seungcheol smiled when he felt Jihoon’s heartbeat on top of him “aren’t you the sweetest boyfriend in the world?” Seungcheol said directly into Jihoon’s eyes made the latter speechless

“don’t be so sarcastic Cheol, I know I’m not” Jihoon avoided making any eye contact with his boyfriend but Seungcheol decided to not prolonged the argument, he cupped Jihoon’s face with both of his hands made the latter looked directly into his eyes

“you are my greatest gift, just by standing beside me I will consider it as my best birthday ever, even with all the surprises I get today those will be meaningless if you are not happy like me, you don’t have to do anything Ji… the only thing I need you to do is… just stand beside me always even for my birthday next year, and the following year, forever… just stand beside me forever” for the first time after years dating him, Jihoon didn’t say anything about his cheesiness, he just nodded to what Seungcheol said

“That was cheesy but … ok” Jihoon finally smiled and kissed Seungcheol out of sudden “that was for your cheese” Jihoon wanted to roll over to the bed again but Seungcheol’s arm around him prevented him to do so

“I love you” Seungcheol grinned and kissed Jihoon “where’s my ‘I love you too?’”

“Yeah yeah I love you too” Jihoon laughed when Seungcheol started to attack him with kisses all over his face
