Pink Hotel Escape

Description

"I must say, you are part of the trashier portion of humankind. However, I am just as ed up as you are, and therefore, I'd sit with you to finish this cup of coffee."

-----------------------

5 piercings on the right, 7 piercings on the left. Not only his ear, but his nose, lips, and belly button are all perfectly adorned with a jewelry. He has a quite distinct love for jade, I noticed. I wonder if his skin smells like cigarettes - because his favorite leather jacket that he always wear every other day certainly does, and so does his nirvana shirt. He's someone you'd rather not get associated with, especially when your university life is drowning you mentally. Everyone I know in the campus doesn't like him too much - they say he's a waste of space in classes, like, literally - he somehow managed to get a slot in every coveted classes (rumour has it he slept with the 50 years old administration staff to achieve this), and magically excel in them.

Not to be a know-it-all, but I think I know why they don't find him favorable after only speaking to him for 5 minutes or so.

He reeks of the truth, the harsh, heart-piercing, onion in your eyes and vomit in your throat sort of truth. And people, the more I know them, the more I realize that they love would kill to stay in a little bubble full of white lies full of joy that lasts for a moment.

I hated him for that too, I recalled. But just like how I get over my stage fright, I focus on what is important - in this case, knwoing what the hell in the world is up with Yoon Jeonghan.

If curiosity killed the cat, curiosity led me to pink hotel escape

Foreword

Cho Sera is not full of surprises. She likes to think that people would know her true self if they dig deeply, but they do not, and for that she is always thankful. With her three best friends and a nice boyfriend on her side, she planned out the perfect university life, a calm, focus on getting a degree, and normal sort of life. She wakes up and convinces herself everyday that this life is enough, that she wants nothing more, that her little bubble of joy will remain at least until she graudates. And so she pretends, she resists, she holds it in. This life is what she deserves, after all that she's done - Sera likes to say those words to herself when hormones are high and her mask is slipping.

Cue in Yoon Jeonghan, the definition of 'people-you-want-to-avoid-in-college' in Sera's dictionary, he came without invitation nor reservations. Right in second year of college, it was needless to say that he flipped Sera's world up and down, left ad right, 360 degrees and bouncing her up to the galaxy and then down to the core of the earth.

He looks right into her eyes and in an instant, he knows the truth. The big scar that was on her face all along that her three best friends and nice boyfriend would see if they squint their eye? Jeonghan could see it even with blindfolds.

Cho Sera is not full of surprises. However, she lies in her own head, and soon enough, her thoughts are not hers - but the good version of her's.
