Joy's Cold CoffeeJoy walked down the halls of the building depressed. With her head down, she accidentally bumped into someone.
"Look at where the hell you are walking! Sheesh!" a lady's voice said
"I-I-I-I'm sorry." Joy apologizes
"Are you a maid from Yook household?" the lady asked
"Uhmm. Was, ma'am. I was fired not long ago." Joy replied
"Huh?! Good thing you have been fired. Nothing good comes being with them." the girl said
Joy stands there speechless. The lady just left with a last look on Joy.
The girl entered Sungjae's office.
"We're suppose to have lunch meeting today right?! Why didn't you show up?" the lady protested
"You set it up so you can bragged being engaged to me. Am I right?" Sungjae rebuts putting the dirty handkerchief at his pocket.
"So? What? Isn't it because of us being engage that you can keep your family's company afloat?" the girl replies
"Irene. It's my father's desicion to engage us. So, I have no responsibility to respond to every complain you have. I know that you're also being forced in this relationship but you don't have to torment me with this. And I'm working could you just leave." Sungjae said
"No! I won't." Irene refused
"Okay. Then just stay here." Sungjae said as he stood up and took the documents he was working on and left the room. Sungjae work his way to the office lounge where he saw all the workers were piling up.
"The hell is this?" He thought to himself
"Wow. This is a really good coffee!" one of the workers said
Everyone was cheering for what they were drinking. And upon this crowd Sungjae found the maid he just fired awhile ago.
"Why are you still here?" Sungjae asked Joy.
"It's President Yook." the staffs moved out of the way and bowed then slowly returned to their cubicles.
"Uhmm. I saw them having trouble with the espresso machine so..." Joy mumbles
"Huh?" Sungjae grunts
"I saw them having trouble with the espresso..." Joy raises her voice to the point she was shouting
"You don't need to shout!" Sungjae called out
"Sorry." Joy apologizes
"Okay. You were helping them with the espresso machine." Sungjae reassures
Joy nods. Then she turns back to the machine and served a cup of coffee to her former master.
"What's this?" Sungjae asks
"A simple Caffé Latté, sir." Joy mumbles again
"A what?!" Sungjae grumbles
"Caffé Latté!" Again Joy with the screaming
Sungjae covers his ear and sighed
"Sorry." Joy apologizes again.
Sungjae sips into Joy's coffee, even though he isn't a fan of hot coffees. To be honest, he prefers cold drinks that hot ones. He has this sensitivity to hot food or drinks. But then he still drinks into this brown concoction in a cup. It was hot, yet it wasn't that hot that Sungjae's sensitivity kicks in.
