I see the sun leans down to the horizon and I am here, playing with the sands. I hug my knee as I stared at the gradation of yellow, orange and red sky while thinking about you. The one who used to sit beside me in silence.

Why? I keep asking that to myself.

I take some sands and let it goes through the gap between my fingers.

Did I hold you too tight?

“Kang Daesung?”

Upon hearing my name slips out from a familiar baritone voice, my heart skips a beat. I crane up my head and see you.

My mind goes blank.

Unexpected time.

Unexpected place.

Unexpected person.

“Choi Seunghyun?”

The forbidden name slips out from my mouth. My voice trembles and I can’t look at your eyes. It’s just too long since the last time I said your full name.

“Who is he, Hyunnie?”

The question asked pulls me out from the pile of unorganized thought.

You’re not alone. You’re holding a hand and it’s not mine.

I really want to run from the pain. If I could, then I would want to go back to the past and make things right.
