Description
My name is Valeria "Puppet" Olivares. I am 23 years old and the top pastry chef at Sweet Treats Bakery Café in Toronto. Sweet Treats is an international Baking Company that has shops around the globe. There are three here in Canada, six in the U.S., seven in Europe, and four in Asia. Sweet Treats is the one is the only chain of bakery shops that all the top bakers meet up every summer in one of the countries and does a charity bake sale to help feed the children of the that country. I have only been to two of them since I only recently completed my second year working for Sweet Treats. The bakery is also the only one that does a shop baker switch every two years. It's only mandatory for new head bakers, every other can call our Big Boss, Lady Sue, in Maine to turn down the offer and stay in their country. I don't have that privilege yet.
Foreword
"LADY PUPPET!!!!!!" yelled a tall, dark man who's voice boomed throughout the entire shop.
"What is it Big Ben? Did Mike eat all of the icing again?" I said rather amused that such a big man could act so childishly.
"No! Well, yes, but that's not the point. I just got off the phone with Lady Sue, she said she has chosen who you will be switched with and what shop your going to for the Sweet Treats Switch!" he exclaimed happily.
"Really now? Tell me where I shall be sent then." I replied.
"Lady Puppet, your going to Sweet Treats Seoul, South Korea. And Lady Park Hyo Rin is coming here to Toronto!" he told me.
"Korea huh? That's pretty cool. Did Lady Sue say when I'm leaving?" I ask eagerly. I had always liked to travel, because of that, working in Sweet Treats was like a dream. It had everything I am passionate about, baking, traveling, and helping those in need. This job really was perfect for me, and I loved it.
"Lady Sue said to be ready to go early Friday. Your going to meet with Lady Hyo Rin in France on Saturday to explain to each other the inner workings of the shops. Then early on Sunday you each leave to the countries your being sent to" explained Big Ben.
"Alright. That gives my just enough time to pack everything and sent it to Lady Hyo Rin to place in the Sweet Treats Apartment." I said. "Can you take over for the rest of the afternoon? I need to get packed and ready to go really soon."
"No problem Lady Puppet." he replied with a smile. "You work hard in Korea, okay? Show them what us Canadians are made of!"
I giggled nodding.
"Heck yeah!! Korea here I come!" with that I leave early, go home and pack away my clothes. I'm ready to take over Korea. Even if I don't know the language.
