Hyunseung sat on a stool a couple of feet away from the rest of Beast.  Interviews tend to be commonplace events for Beast band members.  This particular interview was special since Naver created a new streaming V-app to show it.  It was an interview within a promotional event commemorating the sixth anniversary of Beast.  But like any new application, technological problems were sure to arise which led to a long wait.  Hyunseung looked over his song part while he tuned out the chatter of his bandmates.  He dabbled on his phone.  He did everything he could do to stay busy.   As the streaming techs set up to fix the wires, Junghyung took to the microphone. 

“Stop playing games, Hyunseung,”  he rapped. 

The assistant signaled for him to cut it out. 

“We are going live soon Junghyung.”

“No, for real,”  he now said in his natural voice.  “Someone needs to tell Jang Hyunseung to get real and come to practice.  He sings out of turn and messes up the dance moves.”

  Hyunseung didn’t look up for a second.

“This is what I’m talking about.  He thinks he is better than us.” 

Yoseob stared at Dongwoon who gawked at Junghyung.  Gikwang who sat next to Junghyung moved next to DooJoon away from the heat.   It was a game of musical chairs and Hyunseung stood at the end of it. 

“I’m tired of the same old Junghyung,”  Hyunseung said in one quiet breath. “I’ve been singing to the same dance pop beat for the past six years and it’s none of your business what I do or how I do it.”

The room quieted for a second. 

“Yeah Junghyung.  Are you jealous?”  DooJoon interrupted. 

“Me?”  Junghyung pulled away from the microphone.“Of him?”

“2 Hyun,”  answered Yoseob with his smarts.

“Nope.  Never been.  Hyuna gets me since she’s a rapper too-- like that time we wrote Change.”

Hyunseung laughed. 

“Hey, it’s true.  We have a rapper kinship.”
