Believe me when I say, 'I think of you and I'm not bitter'. 

I remember our stolen glances and the way your smile used to light up the room. 

I still grin from ear to ear thinking about our Friday nights and Monday mornings. 

It's not your fault that things didn't work out and it's not my fault either. 

We just shed our skin to grow into better people and in the process outgrew each other, and that's okay.

But just because it's okay doesn't mean I'm not affected.

Because even if I'm not bitter, 

I will always miss us.
