“Yah Lee Sungyeol, aren’t you going to go home?” you said without tearing your eyes from your laptop. When you didn’t get an answer you turned to look at him. You found him staring at you. “Why aren’t you answering me?” you asked “I shook my head” he said. You sighed and asked “Why?” “I don’t want to. I want to stay with you.” He pouted. You wanted to smile and pinch his cheeks but you stopped yourself “You know I have to work” you said and he nodded “It will be boring and I won’t talk or do anything other than working.” You said and he nodded “I will watch you and make sure you don’t overwork yourself.” He said sweetly. “I can’t work when I’m being watched.” You pouted “Then don’t” he said patting the couch so you would sit next to him. “It’s your best-friend’s gallery. Don’t forget he is my friend too. I have to do my best to make everything perfect.” You said “Myungsoo told me that everything was already done. He asked me to make sure you get enough sleep so you would look good tomorrow.” Sungyeol said pulling you to his side and putting his arm around your shoulder. You tried to break free but he held you tightly “One more hour, please?” you asked trying to look cute but he just shook his head “It is already 3 am. You need to get some sleep.” He said placing your head on his shoulder. You were tired and your lids were getting heavy. You wrapped your arm around Sungyeol’s waist and you could hear his heart beating faster. A smile crept to your face as you looked at his blushed face. You were tired and soon you dozed off in his arms. He carried you to your room, put you in your bed and tucked you in. he sat on the side of the bed and watched you sleeping. A smile crept to his face as he brushed the hair behind your ears and traced your face with his finger. He stayed there for almost an hour then he went to sleep in the guest room.

The doorbell rang waking up Sungyeol. He opened the door and Myungsoo bolted in. “Where is she?” he asked the half awake Sungyeol who was still rubbing his eyes and yawning. Sungyeol pointed to your room “She is probably sleeping. What do you want?” He said “She is not picking up my calls. It’s getting late we have to go to the gallery to get ready.” Myungsoo was nervous; his hands were sweaty and he was moving too much. Sungyeol noticed and patted his shoulder “Everything will be fine Myung. You’ve worked so hard for this and so did she; it won’t go to waste. Get yourself together L. I’ll go wake her up.” Sungyeol said reminding Myungsoo about L the cold city boy. That is exactly what he needs to be now. But he needs her to feel safe; she is his best girl friend, his best-friend’s girlfriend and his assistant/partner. Sungyeol rushed out of the room with a post-it note in his hand “She left” he said giving the post-it note to Myungsoo who read it “Sorry Yeol, I woke up early and couldn’t stay home. I went to the gallery to prepare for tonight. Make sure you call Myungsoo. He is probably on the verge of a nervous breakdown.” Myungsoo was about to turn the note but Sungyeol snatched it from his hand and said “No, brother this side isn’t for you.”  Myungsoo chuckled “I’ll never get used to you two dating.” “Too late you’ll have to live with it.” “I can’t believe I brought you two together.” Myungsoo shook his head. Sungyeol was staring at the back of the post-it note “I didn’t want to wake you up since I kept you up late last night. Make sure you have a proper breakfast. You know were the coffee is. Call me when you’re up.” He read it and smiled. He tried calling you but you weren’t picking up. “She is not answering your calls either. Where the hell is she?” Myungsoo said then shouted your name in frustration. “Myungsoo, you need to calm down. She said she’d be at the gallery why don’t we go there now. You know how she is like when she is working. I’ll drive you there now, Okay?” Sungyeol said. Myungsoo nodded

“We need to summon L now or a disaster will happen.” Sungyeol murmured quietly as he drove.
