But the death angel never left him.
Jungkook heard everything Jimin wanted him to hear. He was with Jimin the whole time Jimin tried to find him on their last day at Jeju. But he could not shift into the mortal form.
And so he realized it was over, his mission was over. His friend harbinger popped out of nowhere and informed him.
And as days, weeks and months passed, the angel wanted something he never wanted before. It was such a strong desire that made him think of ways that could make him attain that want.
But the death angel never left him.
Jungkook heard everything Jimin wanted him to hear.
And after the night when Jimin called upon him, he perceived that his desire was no longer a want but a need. And that something was to be with Jimin again.
He was an angel, a higher being but what was going on with him? He was having feelings that shouldn't be there. He shouldn't feel sad or frustrated. Angels can't have negative feelings, can they?
It was just such a surprise that he woke up one morning no longer physically beside Jimin, and no longer having the ability to shift which he was in dire need of at that moment for he had to be beside Jimin when he woke up.
He wasn't even able to tell Jimin that he wanted Jimin to not just dwell in his world but live in it. He wanted Jimin to handle things well, to meet new people, to make new experiences and to feel young again. Jimin could have a fresh new start. He wanted Jimin to be truly happy without him.
He wished he could have said those things before to prepare Jimin, he wished they had the chance to kiss goodbye. But life was uncertain even for him.
If he'd look at the bright side, he was still blessed enough to see Jimin and be by his side at times. He was still given the honor to gaze at the gorgeous earthborn.
To see that amidst the sorrow their separation had caused, Jimin was now taking good care of himself. He took Jungkook's disappearance better than last time with Yoongi. And that was all the angel wanted for Jimin before but now he was itching for a question in his mind to be answered: How could he become a human?
Because if there was a way then he might possibly do it. He had never felt a strong desire like this before. He just missed so much Jimin's warm body, his melodic laugh and giggles, his hazel brown eyes, his brave heart, his honesty and just everything about Jimin.
He would try to find a way, however, if he failed, he wouldn't insist. He wouldn't want to go against his father's decisions.
"Ailee?" Jungkook started as they both stared at Jimin who was asleep.
"Yes, Aliyah?"
"Do thou remember the first time we have crossed paths?"
"I do remember. What about it?"
"Thou mentioned a friend who loved a human. Is it alright if I ask thee to tell me about them now? I wish to know." To know what happened to the angel, if they pursued their beloved human. And perhaps he could get something out of their story.
"It has been so long since we have first met. Alright, I will tell thou." Ailee beamed and Jungkook's face lit up in excitement.
"He was a sentry just like me and we were protecting a little girl. He was the one who looked out for her nearby as the rest of us patrolled outside of her home and made sure no evil got past their gates. As she grew up, this friend of mine had grown to love another human being; it was the girl's older brother. He was lovely and had a caring heart... Back then we still had the chance to show up to people on our own accord, and this friend one day decided to talk to this human and so they became friends. The human had never suspected him to be something else as they became closer to each other, both of them fell in love. And it was only a matter of time until the human discovered about my friend's secret. He was confused and frustrated because he did not know how they would work out in such complicated situation. My friend was deeply devoted to the man and so he requested to our Father to turn him into a mortal permanently, but He refused and it left my friend no choice but to break angelic rules; he was desperate. He one day allowed the girl to drown and die in a swimming pool due to cramps, which was the opposite of what he was made to do. It's a guardian's job to protect a person until a death angel arrives
