She chuckled, “Of course silly.” He faked a smile and fixed his tie. “You look rather dashing honey. You’ll do great. I know it.” She smiled and kissed his cheek. He sighed and looked into the long mirror checking his appearance again. He wore dark circles under his eyes and the sleepless nights were visible no matter what he tried to do. She massaged his shoulders and leaned her head against his broad shoulder. “You’ll do great. Go get them,” she said as she looked at his image in the long mirror. He cleared his throat and slicked his hair back and exited the bedroom door. She had a faint smile on her lips. Suddenly he came back into the room.

    “Sorry honey,” he said and kissed her. “I’ll think of you to calm my nerves.” She smiled and watched as he rushed out the room. Her eyes were sorrowful but she hid it well.
