“Where are we going?” she asked as he continued on the road.

    “Just a little longer,” he said under his breath.

    “What? What did you say?” she asked but he didn’t answer. “It’s okay. I’ll figure it out.” She wore a beautiful smile on her face as she looked out the front window. With one hand on the steering wheel and the other waiting for her hand, she smiled and slipped her hands in his. She squeezed his hand and closed her eyes. “Oh how I missed this,” she said as she held his hand tighter.
