What’s the difference with this minced garlic with powdered garlic??? Don’t they just taste the same?? Youngjae thought as he assessed the products carefully.

He was out at the grocery store trying to find something to make back at the dorms. He wasn’t a good cook but he wants to try making a meal for s.

He checked the ingredients in the recipe he downloaded. He scanned the list momentarily and he was already in agony trying to understand it.

I’m this close to giving up and just buy instant ramen. He thought again as he shuffled through the aisles each reading the products carefully as he searched for the right ingredients in his list.

At the newly painted apartment just right around the corner of the grocery store, there was a girl who loves to cook for a living.

“Taehyung!! Where’s the damn Italian Seasoning I asked you???” She yelled at the hallowed apartment which was still empty.

It was a loud morning at the Khyun’s new residence. It was bustling as she went around by the cabinets to find the seasoning she needs.

“Aish, noona. It’s early in the morning!!!” Taehyung went out in his pajama’s and disheveled hair.

“It’s already 11am!” She pointed out. “Where is it?!?” She asked irritated as she goes to cabinets and cabinets.

“Where is what???”

“Italian Seasoning?!?! I asked you to buy one before we went to the party last night right??” She placed a hand on her hip as she scowled at her younger brother of 2 years.

“Oh.. about that..” Taehyung had a familiar uncomfortable face she knew exceptionally well.

“Stop.” She raised a hand at him.

“I’m seriously going to pound you.” She scowled at him.

“I could—“ He tried to persuade.

“No. Stay here. I’ll go buy it myself. Plus I need some other ingredients and utensils. I can’t wait for our things to arrive.”

She mumbled on as she got her jacket and keys and head out to the nearby grocery store.

“Of all the days he could mess up, he chose today. I need to make 4 damn pizza’s before 4pm! It takes a lot of time to bake each especially when you just have one small oven to work with!” She muttered to herself as she hurriedly got a cart and searched for the ingredients she needs.

What is this Herbs de provence?! Youngjae said as he pushed his mini cart whilst reading the list in his phone.

Italian seasoning.. italian seasoning.. The girl thought whilst holding her phone as she went through the other end of the aisle pushing her cart concentrating on the shelves looking for the bottle of seasoning.

While they were both busy with their lists, they clumsily bumped on each other startling one another. Their phones flew from their hands and slid on the smooth tiled floor of the store.

“Oh! I’m sorry!” They both said with each other.

“I wasn’t looking.” The girl said after.

“Neither am I. Here let me get your phone.” Youngjae said smiling as he ran to their phones which were together by the floor.

“Here.” He handed her back her phone.

“Thanks..” She said as she turned it back on. “Oh wait, this isn’t mine.” She said as she saw the lockscreen of a cute white dog.

“Oh here. I’m sorry.” He chuckled after they exchanged their identical phones.

“Cooking something fancy?” The girl said as she noticed the ingredients in his cart.

“Trying to. I barely understand the ingredients.” Youngjae said.  

“Let me see.”

Youngjae handed his phone to her.

“Creamy garlic herb mushroom spaghetti. Nice.” She read aloud.

“I wanted to try out a pasta. But I just can’t help but to find the herbes de provence thing written there..”

“Oh you won’t find those here.. well.. in this little grocery store. I checked before. You might find some luck in a bigger grocery store.”

I can’t go to bigger grocery stores.. Fans might see me there.. Youngjae thought for a second.

He let out a deep sigh. “I give up. I’m just gonna make instant ramen. Thanks anyway.” He mumbled as he pushed his cart back. She chuckled aloud at his reaction.

“You can try this recipe.” She handed him a paper from her bag.

“Garlic basil chicken with tomato butter sauce.”

He read the title out loud.

“Seems hard.”

“It’s basically just like spaghetti. Just.. fancy.” She explained.

“You got most of the ingredients already actually. All you need now is just tomatoes and some chicken s.” She pointed out.

“Will this be hard to do?”

“It’s just as easy as the recipe you got earlier. Trust me.” She assured him.

“Oh..” He said resulting into a chuckle. “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome.”

“Are you looking for something? Let me help you find it.” Youngjae said being courteous.

“Italian Seasoning. I’ve been around this aisle for awhile and I just can’t seem to find it. I saw it the last time I went here. I feel like they’re out of stock.” She stated as she looked over the seasoning racks again.

“Is that like in a bottle usually? Like herbs that smells like pizza?”

“Yeah! That exactly!” Her face lit up recognizing the seasoning he was describing.

“I saw one stranded one! Wait.. It was just..” Youngjae said as he went back to the end of the aisle pulling his cart with him and tried to hunt for the bottle.

“Here! There’s one more left!” He said showing the bottle.

“Yes!! Thank you so much!” She said as she got the bottle from him.

“No problem.”

“I.. better go I still need to find a few more things.” She said as she started to push her cart

“Oh right yes ofcourse. I’ll look for chicken and tomatoes too. Thanks again for the help.”

“Sure thing!” She said waving goodbye as she pushed her cart and disappeared through the aisles.

Honestly, Youngjae didn’t want to part just yet. He found her very pretty. He even liked her laugh the moment he heard her chuckle. She has cute dimples and a fair toned skin.

I’m not like JB or Jackson hyung..He scoffed at the thought.  I can’t get a girl like that.. She’s too pretty. He shooked his head to brush it off as he tried to look for the rest of his ingredients.

As he was paying after he finished grocery shopping, the girl was right on the next counter paying. Something lit up inside Youngjae as he gathered his courage to talk to her again.

But.. what should I say???! He argued in his thoughts. “Hey, nice stuff you picked out there..” UGH. What. That’s lame!! He thought to himself. Come on, she’s leaving!! Man up!

“Here, let me help you.” Youngjae voiced out following the girl as he helped her with loads of boxes in hand.

“Oh no no. It’s fine. I can take it.” She politely refused.  

“Please, let me atleast thank you by helping you with all these boxes.”

“Are you sure?”

“Ofcourse.” He said as he got the bigger box from her.

He struggled by it’s weight. “Is it heavy??” She asked watching his uncomfortable look.

“Y-yeah. Yeah. It’s fine. Where’s your car?” He asked as he got to his feet and fixed the box in his arms.

“Oh, I just walked here. But I live just around the corner!” She chirped as she head out of the store.

Dammit, Youngjae. Look what you’ve got yourself into. It’s so hard being a man in front of a girl. He thought to himself as he followed her.

The girl gave quick glances to check Youngjae who was clearly struggling with the boxes. She smiled back to herself as he watched him.

“Just.. um.. tell me where to go..” He said startling her reverie.

“Oh it’s right about here.” She said as she went up the small apartment complex.

They both left their shoes by the mini hallway of the apartment upon entering. Youngjae blushed as he saw her remove her jacket. She was in her fitted lavender tank top.

“You can put the box here at the counter.” She instructed. Youngjae placed down the box as he take a look around.
