Jonghyun P.O.V

            I was looking out the window at the scenery. The restaurant was on the top floor. An expensive restaurant I sometime came to with some old friends. I glanced over at the girl sitting in front of me. Her brown hair stopped a little bit below her shoulders. I think she said her name was Yoon So Hee. She said she was here visiting friends and was waiting for an audition at a modeling agency. For some reason, I keep zoning in and out while she was talking. I turned my eyes back out the window. My mind wondered to Raquel. What she was doing and has she eaten. Ahh. I bet she skipped dinner again to study. I got to talk to her about that bad habit of hers. “Oppaaa.” She whined. I snapped out my thoughts and looked at her. She pouted at me cutely. “Did you hear what I asked?” I shook my head. “I’m sorry. What did you ask?” She calmly repeated her question. “ I asked you do you think I’ll make a good model?” I propped my chin up on my hands and looked her up and down, studying her. Her cheeks went slightly pink as she looked down. “Yes. I think you would.” I smiled at her. I don’t know if it was genuine or not. “ I think you’ll be amazing.” She gave me a small smile and took a sip of water. “You don’t want to be here, do you?” She asked me quietly. “ Do you not like me?” She looked up at me with her eyes full of tears. “I-I-I-“ I stammered. I was shocked. Why was she crying? She covered and put her head down on the table. Her shoulders were shaking slightly. I jumped up from my seat.  “Heyyy…” I said nervously. I touched her shoulder and what she did next took me by surprise. She threw her head back, tears running down her face and she was…laughing. Laughing!  I sat down in utter shock. This girl… I just stared at her. She double over holding her stomach while laughing. “Don’t be mad. I was only teasing.” She stopped laughing, looked at me and once again busted out laughing. “I’m not mad. I’m just shocked and surprised.”  She wiped her eyes as she calmed down. “That’s what you get for not listening.” She smiled.  I know my face got super red because it feels as if it was on fire. “I’m going to let you in on a little secret.” She took another sip of water. “I’m not here for the date that’s potential for marriage.” I just looked at her waiting for her to continue. “ I have always been a fan of yours and always wanted to meet you. I ended up telling my dad and he said that your mom was one of his close friends. Before I knew it, they already made the date. I guess they took my saying as wanting to meet you for marriage.” She shrugged. “I actually have a boyfriend I’ve been dating for a month now. He doesn’t know about him yet. I had plans to meet him after the date but since I got meet you, have dinner and got to tease you, we can go ahead and end this. I’m sorry but I got to say your expression was too cute.” She smiled at me once again. I couldn’t help but smile also. We got up, paid and left. When we made it outside she held out her hand. “I hope we can be friends.” I took her hand but instead of shaking it I pulled her close and whispered in her ear. “ I really meant it when I said that I think you would make an amazing model. You’re extremely beautiful and your acting just now was superb. Even caught me off guard. Good luck okay?” I left the blushing girl and headed towards my car. I winked at her before getting in and driving off.

I was walking down the hall whistling. She came into my mind once again and I was happy that I was going to get to see my Raquel. I stopped walking. Why do she keep popping up in my mind and…did I just call her MY Raquel? Man. This is making me frustrated. Sighing, I got ready to unlock the door. Suddenly I heard thumping sounds and screaming. Trying to hurry up to unlock the door, I dropped the keys. Cursing, I picked them up in one quick swoop and threw the key in the hole.  Throwing the door open, I quickly scanned the room for her. Then my eyes headed towards the hall. There she was. She was squirming with tears running down her eyes. Then I saw the person holding her down.  That was what surprised me even more. It was Key. MY Key. SHINee’s Key. I balled my fists. My blood was boiling within me. I ran over, yanked him off her and slammed my fist into his right jaw. He stumbled over and fell on the ground. He looked up, his eyes widening when he saw me. “J-Jonghyun. What are yo- “ I jerked him up. The anger was clear in my eyes. I could kill him right now and he knew that. He started to tremor. “What the actual hell Key!?” I was shaking him. “I told you don’t do something like that! I told you that girl was almost ! I told you she could remember and go into shock so bad she might have to go to the hospital! LOOK at what you did.” Key slowly looked over at Raquel. She was crawling away. She sat up against the wall hugging her knees, wailing her eyes out. He looked at me shaking his head. “I was- I was just..” I hit him again. You were just what key!?” I was about to hit him again when her crying got louder. “Get out Key.” I spoke as calmly as I could. Tears threaten to fall as he tried to say something. “ GET.THE.HELL.OUT.KEY!” He opened the door and ran. I slammed the door and locked it. I ran back to her side. I tried to touch her arm but she hit my hand away and tried to get away from me. He got her completely terrified. The doctor words came running back to my mind. Be there for her. Show her that you care….That you won’t leave her.  I took a deep breath and pulled her against me. She was gasping, shaking her head. She kept hitting me as she tried to get away. “I’m not letting go.” I whispered. I pulled her head against my chest and her head. “I’m right here.” I kept rubbing her head. Slowly, her fighting stopped and her hand dropped. I picked her up and carried her to bed. I watched her as she slept. I swept some of her hair away. Key covered her in hickeys and bite marks all over her neck. “I’m so so sorry. If only I- if I didn’t go on that stupid date, I could have been here… protected you…” That’s when I noticed a wet spot on her cheek. I looked down closer at her but she wasn’t crying. Then another one appeared. That’s when I touched my cheek and realized that they were wet. “Oh…” I was the one crying.  I covered my mouth. No. I will not-not- before I could even finish that thought more came. I got up and dashed to my bathroom. I clutched my chest, and slid down onto the floor. I was clutching my chest and screaming.

Raquel P.O.V

Numb. Numbness. That was the word that came to mind as I stared out the window. I feel nothing. I don’t even remember how I got to bed. Maybe Jonghyun put me to bed. My memories came back. How I was almost on my first day in New York. The guy who was pulling at my clothes, hitting me and how I called for my best friend. I put my hands around me. No one did anything to help me. Almost being hit by a car. That’s how I met him.  Laney … is my best friend and I tell her everything but this. I shook my head. This I cannot tell her. She is the type to blame herself for years about something, especially if she had the power to stop it. I don’t blame her. This is her hometown. Her boyfriend live here. So
