Description

He used to call her even though she was gone.

He used to text her even though he got nothing in return.

Broken, alone, and afraid to let go of the past, Kai is lost in his own thoughts until one day he recieves something he never expects...a reply.

Author's Note: 

Hey guys! If you're coming from Let Go (full version) or just stumbled upon this story, welcome! :D For a project in my creative writing class I had to write a short story using the following prompt below- 

Short story prompt: 

>Write in the perspective of the opposite gender

>Takes place elsewhere 

>Takes place in a different year 

This will be in Kai's perspective and mind you, the plot has slight changes compared to the orginal unedited version. Will the ending to the full version of Let Go be the same as this one? Questionable...

Chapter 2: So I jumped here from the longer version and I must say, I actually like this one-shot version better. It's unusual to see a male POV story here which is what I think makes this one stand out to me. I like how the events are condensed into the most important parts as compared to the long scenes which were rather dragging, in my opinion. Nonetheless, the simplistic writing style of both versions brings out the beauty of this story and I find that really charming <3
