NO PET POLICY
Meow
My pencil dug deeper and deeper into the notebook. My patience was wearing out with every mew and meow. With my computer failing to save my work, my teachers' refusing to give me an extension, this cat meowing all night, and Mingyu who took my noise cancelling headphones then disappeared. This day must be meow cursed.
MEOW!

I positioned myself just outside their door, knocking on it a few solid times.
My foot impatiently started tapping.
No one was answering.
I gulped, the reality of my actions only hitting me then. Was I really knocking on some stranger's door at two am just because I can't stand their cat anymore?
mEOW my eyes darted to my feet in embarrassment. This cat was really challenging me. I knocked a few more times.
