I know that I could be more creative coming up with some poetic lines but it’s about half past two and this whiskey got me feeling pretty high, drunk out of my mind at the very place where we used to make love.

Why aren’t you here with me?

And so with an ashtray full of cigarettes, I started to imagine her lips against my skin and just how incredible it would feel to be wanted by her again, all straps and laces and stockings, she would never forget to look good for me.

Tell me, baby, would you still kiss it better? Hold me close until I fall asleep?

Because of all the people I have kissed, she was always my favourite, never the one to flinch when I curled my hand around her neck and tighten. Instead, she would look at me with those daring eyes – urging me to press harder.

Best of all, you were mine.

We would be on the good , smoking until dawn. Then you would dress down for me, all skin and skin and skin.

Where are you now?

Darling, you broke my heart once and I’m asking you to break it again. I haven’t felt anything since.
