Outside, the buildings were lit up by Christmas ornaments. One big Christmas tree stood tall and strong in the middle of the area, surrounded by hundreds of people although it was cold. The square was packed with people as they stared intently at the stage. The large stage was empty, except for one grand piano in the middle of it. A man sat in front of it. A white fog appeared as he exhaled. Closing his eyes, he rested his fingers on the keys of the piano.

"One of the most famous artists of the moment will reveal his new song here! At the outdoor Xmas special! The one and only Kim Minseok! Tell us about your new song." The microphone was placed in front of his lips and the artist chuckled.

"I can tell you, this song is way overdue."

"Please tell us more. I'm sure your fans are very curious."

"Actually, this song has been made a few years back... With a very special person.”

"This must be a song close to the heart, I assume?"

"It is." Minseok smiled. "Very. I hope she will listen very closely.”

“Is she in the audience, sir?”

“She’s not here anymore.”

---

Everyday, at this station, before school, Kim Minseok came here to the piano at the train station that was placed on a huge round sticker saying, 'let them hear.'

The boy placed his backpack on the ground, against one of the legs of the piano. His eyes darted around to see people hastily walking in and out of the station, everyone too busy to pay attention to him, too busy to also want to play. He sighed in relief and smiled as he let his fingers dance on the keys instantly, without hesitation. His voice hummed along the melody. This was what he would live for. Playing and singing every day.

But for now, it was just every morning, on the piano at the station.

---

One day, at this station, before school, Kim Minseok came here to the piano at the train station that was placed on a huge round circle saying, 'let them hear,’ only to find a girl sitting on a chair.

He looked oddly at her, probably with an expression of ‘that’s my spot’, although there was no name on it and actually for everyone to play. Just not at this time of day. He eyed her curiously as she played the keys with one finger at a time and he chuckled when she seemed shocked, as if the piano played louder than she had wanted.

The girl looked up as she heard him and her eyes widened even more in surprise, her cheeks glowing red, embarrassed that she got caught in her actions. Because just like any other day, people were walking around, too busy to pay attention, too busy to also want to play. So she thought.

She quickly stood up and picked up her bag, throwing it over her shoulders before running away. Minseok frowned and watched the girl run. Honestly, it looked like she was walking like a penguin with the way she wobbled, her bag bouncing left and right.

Only when the girl blended with the crowd did he sit down and placed his bag away. He sighed in relief and smiled as he let his fingers dance on the keys instantly, without hesitation. His voice hummed along the melody.

---

The next day, same time and place. The girl was there again. But this time she immediately stood up at the sight of him. Without a word Minseok took his seat and started playing. He glanced around and found the girl standing beside the piano. Her body swayed slightly with the melody he played, but her eyes were closed as she was just listening. He didn't think much of it, so he continued to play.

Too engrossed in his playing, he didn’t notice the  girl was gone until he was ready to pack up. Turning to walk away, he spotted a white dot on the blackness of the piano. A woollen hat laid on the piano and he suspected it was from the girl who sat here before him. He took the hat in his hands and placed it in his bag. He wondered if she’d come again tomorrow.

---

She was back when he arrived and he smiled. Being awkward with people, he was contemplating to just sit and play, like he did before. Or should he talk with her? Since she didn’t seem to notice him, he decided to talk.

“Hey,” he started awkwardly as he stood next to her. Just like he had seen first, her eyes widened as she accidentally pushed several keys along with her shock. And he made a note in his head. She looked really cute flushed.

She blinked with her eyes before looking down and standing up quickly.

“I’m sorry… Please, go ahead.”

“Uhm… Thanks,” he answered nervously and decided to get the woollen hat out of his bag, not knowing what else to do.

“Is… this yours? I found it at the piano yesterday.”

“Yes! I was looking for it! Thank you so much,” she said and he could see the relief and glee on her face when she took the hat in her tiny hands. They looked soft.

“No problem. I thought someone might take it before you would search for it again, so I took it…” he reasoned.

“Thank you,” she said once again. “… Are you going to play the piano now?”

“I was planning to,” he said with a nod and took a seat.

“Can I listen?”

“Sure…” This time, he was blushing.

He never had an audience and it was fine like that. He stumbled his fingers clumsily on the piano and he felt like slapping himself for being nervous when she stood next to the piano, her body swaying with the melody he played, but her eyes were closed as she was just listening. He was just hoping she kept them closed, unable to see his flushed expression. But it somehow made him happy too.

---

Minseok had started to look more forward to go to his morning spot. The girl had introduced herself as Song Hee-Jin. The awkward mess that he was, he joked about naming a song; Hee-Jin. No matter how lame it was, the girl giggled in response.

---

“You're only watching.”

Minseok stated one day, shocking the girl out of her thoughts. The boy shook his head at his statement, most of the time she had her eyes closed. It made him wonder if she wasn’t scared that she got robbed during those instants.

“I like listening to you play.”

“Let's play together?” he asked and without waiting for an answer, he scooted over on the chair to make some space for her, patting the spot.

The girl walked up hesitantly and took a seat next to him.

“I’ll watch for now?”

Not wanting to push her, Minseok just nodded and continued playing. He glanced at her and smiled as her eyes followed his fingers. Even when she sat, did her body sway with the music. Their shoulders bumped occasionally and with every minute passing, he could feel himself smiling more and more. The warmth of their bodies were blending, he started to notice more about her with her so close to him. He liked it.

---

“Let’s play a song together,” Minseok cheered. He hadn’t asked her ever since, afraid to pressure her. But their countless encounters had made them closer.

Hee-Jin only stayed quiet and glanced at him for a moment.

“Don't you want to play?” he pushed.

“You've seen me play. I'm horrible,” she answered with a chuckle and he grinned.

“You are.”

He laughed even harder as she shoved him, too weak to push him off the chair though, but with a smile on her face.

Deciding to be bold, Minseok held her hand and placed hers on the higher keys. Feeling her soft warm hand in his, he noted they fitted right in his and held the urge to entwine their fingers. He quickly let go and placed his own hands on the lower keys.

“Just play anything. I’ll back you up,” he said with a smile.

“Can we even do this?” Hee-Jin asked nervously.

“Of course we can,” he cheered again and placed his hand on hers again, softly pushing her finger on the key to make a sound. “Hear that? Doesn’t it sound beautiful~”

The girl chuckled and nodded, and tapped several keys.

“Oh that sounded good!” Minseok said in excitement, a wide smile on his face.

“It… It did? I don't know what I did, just now,” the girl said in worry.

“It's okay, let your emotions and fingers do the playing. I'll play the chords, alright? Just play whatever.”

The girl blinked at him and his excitement, and she immediately nodded happily.

---

Four hands moved together in a rhythm. More than often did Minseok let his hand brush against hers at the middle and he grinned when he could hear the melody going a bit faster, her body reacting to his touch going through her fingers, her play. A moment later, he held her hand in his and let it rest on his lap as they played with the other one. In the corner of his eye, he could see Hee-Jin smiling brightly. As well as the pink glow on her cheeks.

“Let’s take a break?” he asked softly as his fingers slowed its movement.

“Okay,” Hee-Jin complied and blushed as she watched their hands.

“You like it?” he muttered to her and she nodded shyly.

“I do…” A giggle of glee escaped her lips as she said so.

“Me too.” Minseok smiled as she leaned her head on his shoulder. “You know? What we make, it’s really good. I can use it for my lyrics.”

“It’s just tingling though.”

“Tingling that sounds really good, if I say so myself. Besides, I’ve recorded today’s.”

“What?!” Hee-Jin yelled in shock and jumped up, almost falling off from the chair. His arms quickly went around her waist and pulled her closely against him.

“I got you,” he said, more like a whisper and they both went red. Their expressions were happy though.

“Did this get recorded too?”

“Yup!” he chirped and they both laughed.

---

“Minseok?” Hee-Jin asked when he finished his song.

“Hmm?”

“I have something for you,” she said and handed him a bag.

The boy took it and peaked inside before he got the items out one by one. It was a folder and a notebook. It was cutely decorated with drawings and messages of encouragement on the covers. He was sure she made it herself and he smiled widely.

“Is it already my birthday?” he asked with a grin and held her close after he placed the presents on the piano.

“You have so much papers lying around,” she reasoned and nodded at the top of the piano. Indeed it was filled with his compositions and lyrics. “And you write lyrics in your school notebooks.”

“Only history…” he muttered. “Thank you, Hee-Jinnie.”

“No problem! There is another gift for you in the notebook,” she added and watched him in anticipation.

Turning over the front, a poster and an application form was placed in the little book.

The best singer-songwriter,” he read and looked at the form where his name was already written on.

"I can't do this. You know how my parents are. They're never going to approve of this and I'd rather not do it without it. I don't want to argue with them."

"But what if this is your chance?"

---

After some thought, he couldn’t help but think of this as opportunity. The fire of passion he had in his heart,  was added with fuel it seemed since he met Hee-Jin.

"My parents were sceptical about it. But they gave me a chance. It will show me and them if I have it in me. If I don't make it far in the show, I said I'd let it stay as a hobby. If I do make it... I'm not sure yet," Minseok said with a smile.

"That's great Minie!" Hee-Jin cheered. "Then you should start on picking out a song you want to do..."

The boy glanced at his notes and mountains of paper. "... Right."

---

Somewhat awkward and nervous, did Minseok go to the auditions. Hee-Jin went with him for support and her words, to think that he was playing in the station, made him calm down before it was his turn.

The boy played with glee on the piano which seemed to be brand new, experiencing something completely different than in the station. The sound was clearer, there was no noise around him when he played. In his mind he made up that even if he didn’t make it, this was enough if it had to stop here. And he was happy, so happy.

As he ended his song with a last ‘ting’ on the piano, he stood up to look at the judges nervously. They only smiled and gave him praises, making him widen his eyes. He made it through.

Running out, he hugged Hee-Jin instantly who had been watching him from a screen.

“I made it,” he muttered. “It’s only the first round, but…”

“I’m so proud of you! It’s the first step to your dream. I’m so proud of you. You did so well,” the girl said and smiled at him, tears falling down.

“Don’t cry,” he murmured and wiped them away.

“I’m just so happy.”

---

Somewhat awkward and nervous, did Minseok perform and pass round after round. Hee-Jin went with him for support and her words, to think that he was playing in the station, made him calm down before it was his turn.

Every time, the boy played with glee on the piano which seemed to be brand new, experiencing something completely different than in the station. Every time, he was fixed on the thought that even if he didn’t make it, this was enough if it had to stop here. And he was happy, so happy.

His parents started to take interest and listened to him. They only smiled at him and apologized for their ignorance, eventually watching him perform as well. Although his sister studied far away from them, she always made sure to call after his performance and follow it on television. Even if she wasn’t by his side, Minseok had never been as happy as this.

With every performance, he gained more confidence in his musical abilities. This time, he was fixated on being first place. This time, he was calm before going on stage. This time, it was the finale. This time, she didn’t utter her words.

---

Not hearing a thing from her was worrying him.

Whenever he could, Minseok sat at the piano chair in front of the piano at the train station that was placed on a huge round circle saying, 'let them hear.' Maybe he looked like a creep as he didn’t even play and only sat. He probably did, but he didn’t care. People were coming and going anyway. How big was the chance that someone saw him consecutive times in a day?

“Excuse me? Are you Minseok?”

“Who are you?” Minseok asked suspiciously as the girl stared at him. Did she want to play the piano?

“I’m Hyunmi, Hee-Jin’s cousin,” she explained and he immediately jumped off the chair.

“She said she would be in the audience, but my father told me she didn’t show up. I’m so stupid for not asking her phone number or anything, but... I haven’t seen her ever since… I’m worried sick, I-”

“I’m sorry,” Hyunmi’s words interrupted his panicked rambling. She could hear the worry and love from his eyes, see it from his body language. She teared up, but tried to keep it from falling.

“What?”

The petite girl handed him a paper bag and he took it cautiously. “Look at it when you’re alone. When you have, you can call me. My number is on a note in there.”

She pointed at the bag again and turned away.

---

Once he was home, he quickly went to his room and fished out the paper bag from the strange girl he met today. Like she had said, there was a note with a phone number on it. The only thing with it, was a book and he opened it carefully. The oh so familiar name was written on the first page, ‘Song Hee-Jin.’ It was her diary? Why would someone just give a diary? Contemplating for a moment, he decided to turn the page and started reading.

‘I can’t believe they are having construction work! My shortcut is totally gone and now I need to walk through the station to school. All the food stalls are tempting me so much now… What should I do? Resist! Ow, so hard… Oh! There is this piano in the station. People are playing, it looks so much fun, but… I’m too scared to try. I can’t play piano so I guess it’s fine…’

He laughed as he read the lines, imagining the scene in his head.

‘Sohee and Seulyi made me laugh during class. Now I have detention T^T The teacher is too strict! Getting up so early to clean up is such a hassle, I swear! Scared of being late, I went out of the house earlier and! The piano was free! Oh, the temptation is so big now! So I tried it. I tried playing it kind of roughly, because the piano looked a bit old. Turns out it worked fine. I got so shocked by the loudness. And then again! There was a boy all of a sudden. I got so embarrassed I ran away. Oh, he must think I’m a freak >.<’

“Just a bit odd.”

‘The boy was there again. He plays so good!!! It’s amazing! The emotion is overflowing and I can’t help but move with the music. He said it was okay if I listen. Will he think I’m a freak?... Hmmm…’

Flip. Flip.

‘… Hyunmi unnie is mad at me… I slipped something from my mouth and now she knows I’m meeting with Minseok oppa. Well, she’s not mad. I guess she’s just worried. But I’m already old enough! I can do what I want right?’

Turn page.

‘I admit I was wrong… talking with strangers is not good. But Min oppa isn’t a stranger anymore. He’s my friend. Hyunmi sighed really loudly. I think she gave up. I’m so glad she’s not here and she only beats me up in LINE sticker style. Hehe.’

‘I’ve been playing piano with him now. It’s so much fun! And he recorded it! Can you believe it! I’m so flustered, but also kind of happy that he says he can use it for a song… maybe I’m more flattered haha.’

“I did,” he said slowly, completely forgotten about it. After he began his journey for best singer-songwriter, they hadn’t played together anymore and he only practiced. He made a mental note to listen to them. Maybe.

‘Seulyi and Sohee are saying I’m suspiciously happy recently. What does that even mean~? They’re suspecting I have a boyfriend… I’m too awkward for that… I think they mean Minseok oppa. But music makes me happy. His piano, his voice… his… I’m getting out of topic.’

‘Minseok oppa is really the sweetest guy I met. His laugh is incredible! It makes me smile and laugh with him instantly. Can someone really make you that happy?’

‘Is it me or is he really attractive? He’s so cute.’

‘Am I blushing?’

‘I think I like my friend… Eotteoke~’

‘I’m sure I like Min oppa!! EOTTEOKEEEEEEEEE?!?!?! Why did the two of them start about it?! When they do, I think about it and now…’

“I… do too.”

‘Should I confess? But I like how we are now… What if I ruin this… I’m scared.’

‘Actually, I’m fine. I’m not scared. Whenever I’m with Minseok oppa, I forget everything and only feel happy. The thought of confessing or anything doesn’t even cross my mind… just after it. Ah, I haven’t asked his number either… or taken a picture of him… I’m so stupid ^^’ hehehe’

“Me too,” Minseok chuckled.

‘Oppa is so clean, but when he starts practicing and all he completely forgets it and all the papers he uses are a mess~ I bought him some presents. I hope he likes it although it’s not much.’

‘I found the perfect platform where oppa can show off his talents! But… he needs to decide. It won’t mean anything if I fill the submission form, will it? Only his name, that won’t hurt… But I’m sure this is his chance to prove himself, his parents and the whoooooole world that he does have all the talent in the world to get famous.’

‘Min oppa looked happy with the presents. I’m glad.’

‘He’s in! Ohmygosh I’m so proud of him I’m so proud of him! I can’t believe I cried, so embarrassing! >.<’

‘Minseok oppa is so hardworking! He’s the best. I hope I can find something so dear to me. A career… Not a person… ah, why am I blushing?!?!’

The boy chuckled, but it died when he faced white page after white page until he reached the end of the book. A white simple and formal invitation was in it. The date on it was the date before the finale. Feeling the sadness creeping up at once, he closed the diary quickly.

---

Minseok stared at the phone on his table. Somehow, the device seemed so much more precious and important now than he remembered. And he didn’t know if he could handle it, honestly. With his eyes still fixed on the phone, he moved his shaking hand to it and picked it up and unlocked it with a swipe. Going to his recording app, the boy scrolled through the dates and stopped at the very first recording. The tune of the piano could be heard for most of the time and he closed his eyes to focus more on the sound. Every time, the piano would play first, but there were always conversations in between.

*click*  “You know? What we make, it’s really good. I can use it for my lyrics.”

“It’s just tingling though.”

“Tingling that sounds really good, if I say so myself. Besides, I’ve recorded today’s.”

“What?!” *screeching of the chair* *silence*

“I got you.”

*silence* “Did this get recorded too?”

“Yup!” *laughter* *click*

Skin longing for the warm and familiar touch.

*click* "Hee-Jin... What are you doing?"
"Ah... Sorry. I was marking the parts of the song I really like. I mean, I love everything about it. But your lyrics would be covered in pencil then. I'm sorry, I'll erase it. I’m so sorry!" *nervous laugh*
"I don't mind that you do. But, put a heart with it." *chuckle* *click*

Heart tightening. Trying to hold it in.

*click* “Okay okay, I’m going to do this!”

“What?”

“Your song; Hee-Jin.” *chuckle*

“You… now? When did you make it?”

“Of course now. My inspiration is calling~”

“So you didn’t make it yet.”

“Just listen?” *clears throat*

“Okay…” *piano tune*

“How she wobbles cutely like a penguin~” *high pitched giggles*

“Every season, every day

Eyes not turning away from her

Jinnie~

I don’t know anymore

Now this song is finished.” *laughter*

“If you sang this, no one would guess your lyrics are great.”

“Hey~ I put my all in this~” *chuckle* *click*

Laughter at the reminiscence. Tears of sadness.

*click* “Here is some coffee for you~ Your favourite! Cappuccino.”

“Thanks Hee-Jinnie~” *silence* *sipping*

“Ah~ Coffee from the to go store is the best.” *chuckle*

“Next time I’ll make hot choco for you and bring it with me.”

“That’s nice… Everything made with love is nice.”

*giggle* “So cheesy!”

“And you love it~” *laugh*

“I do… but I only tolerate from you.”

“Ah~ tolerate sounds so bad”

*scream* “Ah! Min~ I can’t stand tickling” *laughter* *click*

A sob. Walls breaking.

*click*  “Oppa…”

“Hmm?”

“Why are we playing a sad tune? It sounds pretty good though.”

“Because it’s cold~ I think our hearts turned cold. I should hug you!~”

“Ah!! You already are.” *giggle*

“And I won’t let go.”

“What if I need to go to the toilet?”

“Yah~ Don’t ruin the moment~”

*giggle* “Mian~!” *laughter*

*silence* “But Minseok oppa, I won’t ever part with you.” *click*

Screams of despair.

Broken.

---

“Minnie?”

The boy remained motionless as he looked out the window as the feminine voice resounded in the room. The girl sighed and walked over to him, sitting next to Minseok.

“I got your phone repaired. Everything’s still on it,” she spoke as she rubbed the boy’s back. “Minnie?”

“Could you leave me alone, Yerin noona?” he asked quietly, but the girl didn’t let him go and instead hugged him.

“I’m sorry for what happened.”

“It’s not even your fault.”

Yerin went quiet as she heard the cold reply. But she wasn’t going to let him get her down and she put up a smile.

“So, how pretty was she?”

“What?” Minseok asked with disbelief. “Talking about her won’t make me feel any better.”

“So you forgot her name? Calling her ‘her.’”

“I didn’t forget. I wouldn’t forget Hee-Jin’s name. Hee-Jin is… unforgettable.”

“I wonder if we would’ve gotten along…”

“You would noona! She’s adorable with everything she does and since you like cute things. I’m just worried you would bite her,” he said with a chuckle and continued rambling about how her eyes would widen in shock or how she would blush so soon. He even laughed at himself for getting so bold or just seeming to be bold, because it seemed that Hee-Jin was more shy than him. The talk continued to how the two met, befriended each other, became closer.

In the end, Minseok fell asleep and Yerin lovingly the hair of her little brother.

“That’s it Minnie,” Yerin said with a smile and patted his head. “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.”

---

“Here,” Minseok said as he handed back the paper bag, the diary safely secured in it.

“Thank you,” Hyunmi said politely and they sat down.

“Why did you look for me? I could’ve been a creep,” he then asked.

“A creep? Really? Well, at first maybe. But after all the things Hee-Jin wrote and kept telling about you, definitely not,” Hyunmi said with a chuckle. “… She liked you a lot.”

“I like her a lot too...”

“I’m sorry I searched for you so late. When it happened, we were so in shock. She’s my little cousin, you know? I thought it was just a bad joke… I always tell her to be careful…” the girl muttered sadly, already getting teary eyed.

“How…?”

“Hit and run…” She took a shaky breath. “Just after, did I remember she had mentioned you, but no one else knew. Not her parents or friends. I think she liked it to have a little secret, she watches too much romance movies.”

“I can imagine.”

They both chuckled.

“… Thank you for telling me, Hyunmi. I really appreciate it. I feel that now, I could accept it… not yet, but… slowly.”

“Of course,” the girl said with a smile. “We both will. Someday.”

He smiled slightly as he could hear the girl’s laughter echo in his mind and his fingers started dancing.

My fingertips dance on the keys of the piano,

Tainted by the pure white of loneliness

Today I must finish telling the unfinished story

Worries piling up like snow, humming how much I miss you into a song

Can you hear, I’ll sing for you

Maybe I’m too fearful of failure, not able to express the love I have for you

Deeply afraid of confessing, you’ll disappear into a sea of faces

I finally mustered up the courage, to be honest with this secret

Even if you don’t realize, I’ll sing for you

Somewhere along the song, he didn't know when, his eyes started to swell and his tears gave way. So soft as snow did his tears fall on the white and black keys, some splashing on his hand as it hit him.  It started to snow.

The way you cry, the way you smile

You entered the frame that’s etched in my brain

The love I want to say, the love I’m unable to say

If I confess now, I ask for you to listen

I’ll sing for you, sing for you

Just listen once and smile

As the piano echoed the last notes, he sighed and let his hands drop in his lap. Faintly, he could hear the crowd clapping and cheering. He wiped his tears away. Brushing his hands against his pants to warm them  up again, his movements stopped as he looked at one particular bigger snowflake that landed on his hand. It seemed like it lingered longer than the others, before it melted away. It felt warm.

Was she crying now? Was she smiling? Just like when he passed his first audition? And he smiled, partly feeling stupid for letting tears blur his vision once again. For letting the tears fall again. Once more.

Well known as an artist, one that had been composing his own songs since the start, Kim Minseok had his dream job, his dream house. A mansion with just enough rooms to call it big, just enough for him to be cosy. A grand piano stood in the middle of a room that was in the shape of half a circle. He had a brand new one. But. At this station, Minseok still came when he needed inspiration, motivation, a muse. He came here. The piano at the train station that was placed on a huge round circle saying, 'let them hear.' The place where he found his dream.

Thoughts, fun facts and other inspirations for this story in no particular order;

  • After listening to Sing for you when it released, I got so much inspiration, I just had to write again.
  • In the Netherlands there are pianos placed at the big train stations. It's really fun to hear people play and sing :D
  • There is a show in the Netherlands for singer-songwriters where you can get a contract with a label and such.
  • For the story I used the Chinese translation of Sing for you, but in the foreword it’s the Korean version. I altered the guitar since Minseok plays piano in this story
  • To make it less cliché that Hee-Jin disappeared, I put it in at the beginning… did it work? Hehe ^^’
  • I’m really bad at piano xD Harp is my instrument :p
  • It’s the first time experimenting with this kind of writing style which made me nervous honestly. Angst isn’t my forte either xd The style reminds me a bit of poetry or a song where some parts are repeated. I was worried it might bore readers though >.< What did you think? ^^’
  • The song; Hee-Jin is made with the letters of her name.

Chapter 1: This is cute and sad at the same time!
Makes my heart giddy... And warm...
Aaaaah i can imagine this happening at the central station xp and the coffee came from that to go store we went to (is it albert heejin?? XD because i remember the last part is like heijn or something..)
It's so sad??? But i don't know it's like... Soft pastel sad
I was afraid you will kill hee-jin (kill yourself??) with like a cliche disease or cancer or something... But the hit ans run makes it shocking and tragic aww i'm sad...
The part where he listened to their recordings especially... Painful T^T and is that the going to the toilet joke that we made up??
I love it!! And awww im shipping xiuhee so hard right now xD

Chapter 1: She died??? NOOOOOOOO
It's so cute!!
Only History lol xD
It was a hit and run? He didn't even stop (why do I assume some guy ran her over, maybe it was a girl xD)
I thought she was ill or something, that that was why Hyun Mi was so protective...
It was cute~~
(It was supossed to be sad, though? I'm sorry I just kept awww'ing)

Somehow, the flow of some sentences seemed off to me... (I'm sorry) so I had to re-read them to make sure I got them (which is why it took me longer to read xD)

Some mistakes (but I think there were a few more >.<; I just wrote down the obvious/confusing ones)
--
were lighted up - were lit up
surrounded by .. people, although
not wrong per se, but why two times train station in this sentence?
How lame it was, the girl giggled in response. -> no matter how lame
held her hand in hers and l - held her hand in his?
Not to forget the pink glow on her cheeks - as well as? (I think you directly translated from dutch: niet te vergeten haar...?)
"But what if this a chance?" - if this is a chance
was added with fuel it seemed since he met Hee-Jin - had been fuelled?
He was through. -> he made it through? He passed? now it looks like he's done... over... instead of passing?
perform and passed -> preform and pass or Preform and he passed
Minseok was never as happy as this. - Minseok had never been as happy
, he was fixed on being first place. - he was aiming for first place/ he was fixated on being first place
food bars -> food stalls? Now it's like it's like candy bars or something?
