                    At nine years old, Minseok was beyond his years only because his parents were drunks and abusive and he practically had to raise himself and his brother, who was six years younger than him.

He always gave Luhan everything he could – more food on his plate, that one toy at the store even though he had to sell a bunch of his own things, a smile.

He hated it when Luhan would come to him crying because their parents were too busy focusing on themselves and not taking care of the little three year old.

The nine year old tried his hardest to make sure that Luhan was fed properly, that he was learning good habits and not bad ones.

 He started learning how to cook just to feed them so they wouldn’t die of starvation.

Not once had he let his aunt or grandparents know that they were having a tough time. He had overheard his aunt complaining on how she had to take care of them while their parents were too selfish to do anything.

So, Minseok took that as he was a burden and refused any help from his aunt or grandparents. He could do it himself.
