Kai POV

Everything else seemed to be out of sight when I looked at her. It may seem strange but she was all I could see. I smiled slightly towards her but she was just staring blankly at me. Was my smile not obvious enough? I smiled even wider but the same thing happened. Nothing. 

Chen: Kai-ah!

I heard Chen hyung calling me as I shifted my attention to him. 

Kai: Oh oh yeah?

Chen: I called you so many times. I was just telling them how you gave me a great idea for a present

Kai: Ohh (slight giggle) I see. 

Chen: So, let me present my present to you, Wendy. 

Lay hyung immediately went to Wendy and placed a chair beside her so she could sit down. Chen hyung warmed up his throat for a while and soon started singing. It wasn't my first time listening to Chen hyung sing so I got uninterested for a moment. Then, my eyes shifted to Seulgi. She was looking at Chen hyung with hands clapsed together

Chen: (stops singing) I love you Wendy-ah...(smiles)

Everyone clapped as I joined in as well. I was looking at Seulgi and somehow a sense of guilt hit me. She used to be one of my closest friends during trainee days. We would encourage each other and sometimes, we only had each other to depend on during tough times. I guess popularity hit me hard and I threw my friendship away just like that.

Baekhyun: (whispers to me) You should talk to her.

I was surprised when he was behind me. I kept calm and decided to remain in the conversation.

Kai: (whispers) What are you talking about?

Baekhyun hyung lifted his head slightly towards the direction of the person as I looked towards the person. It was Seulgi who was just minding her own business. 

Kai: (whispers) Why? What about her?

Baekhyun: (whispers) You really want me to tell you why? She's your friend. Why are you avoiding her? 

Kai: (whispers) I...I wasn't (in denial)

Baekhyun: (whispers) Even if the others didn't notice, I'm sure I did. Come on man, she's your friend. Talk to her...
