TAEYEON POV

I run quickly out of my house, away from my arguing parents. I don't know where I'm going but I need to get away before something horrible happens, because believe me, it will. I'm finally leaving. I'm running away. I can't live with my abusive parents any more. Anywhere is better than even being in the same room as them. I have an attitude, which isn't good because it leads to me being slapped more often. I can't help it. I'm also sarcastic some times, if you say something stupid, of course your going to get a sarcastic answer! I also could care less about what people think about me, as long as I like who I am. And for the most part, I do. I look down at my bleeding arm. I rip a piece of fabric from the hem of my navy blue shirt and tightly wrap it around my wounded arm. How did that happen? You may ask, well let me explain. My father, Mark Kim,came home drunk tonight. As soon as he saw me he pulled a knife out of the draw. Yes, my father cut my arm open. I know I need stitches but I can't go to the hospital. I have to get away from here. Did I mention it's the middle of the night? Well it is. It's currently one in the morning and here I am roaming the streets on Manhattan. I continue running until I reach the park I always come to when I can escape from my parents, knowing that when I return I will be punished. I sit on the green bench as a tear falls down my cheek. Not because I'm leaving my parents. But because I'm leaving my brother. My brother is nineteen, two years older than me. He's the only person I have in my life who truly loves me. I love him to. But I know this is what he wanted. He wanted me to be free from our abusive parents. He said he will escape one day, but for now he has to stay. Why? I don't know. I slowly get up of the bench, wincing in pain. I quickly put my hands on my stomach. I pull my shirt up to reveal a giant bruise on my stomach. Another tear falls as I pull my shirt back down. I shiver, noticing I'm in nothing but a t-shirt and shorts. I pull my phone out of my back packet and use it as a flashlight. I start walking down the street when I hear a piercing scream coming from my left. I quickly turn down that street and hide myself behind a building, peeking my head around to see what was happening. I see four boys. They look to be around my age or older. But none seem to look over twenty two. They are wearing completely black. Obviously trying to blend into the dark night. They have a man pinned to the ground. One of the boys has his foot on the mans back, holding him in place. I move my gaze to another boy as he pulls a knife out of his black jacket. I quietly gasp, not wanting to be heard. The boy walks to the man one the ground, bending to meet his level. "I told you to have it tonight or I would finish you. Did you think I was joking?" The boy spits out, sending shivers down my spine from his hard tone. When the man doesn't answer the boy kicks his stomach. "Answer me you idiot!" He screams loudly. "N-no," The man says, blood coming out of his mouth as he speaks. The boy smirks, before plunging the knife into the mans heart. I let out a piercing scream before I can stop my self. The boys instantly look my way. Before I can run, or even take a step for that matter, one grabs me. "Well, well, well. What do we have hear?" The boy who stabbed the poor man said, smirking.
