Following an accident at her boarding school in America, Aurora returned to Korea to reunite with her family. Joy didn't last long when she found out how an adoptive brother has taken the central spot in her family, which lead to Aurora becoming an outcast at home and feeling insecure about herself. Despite her parents taking her several times to the psychiatrist, her diagnoses remained unclear and her parents believed she was broken and unable to fix. 

In 2032, an outbreak of an unknown virus created by mad scientist Kim Namjoon occurred. Almost half of the citizens has been infected and those who weren't infected set up an organisation, calling themselves Bangtan.
