There’s been something different about Byul these last few weeks. She’s been carrying herself differently, and it takes a while for Yong to pin it down. Watching Yong perform was a little like having dual vision. Like a superimposed image. When she wakes up the next day, it’s to a sudden bright stream of sunlight that ades their room. Sometimes, Byul thinks, it would be easier if she loved Yong less. But that’s the thought that hurts the most, more than any of the others, because Byul doesn’t want to go back to how she and Yong used to be before they professed their feelings.
