yukino has a body most girls yearn for. it's fit with the right about of muscles, thanks to her years of health fitness. she has the popular thigh gap which she honestly doesn't care that much about.
she has always kept her hair long and natural, in memory of her mother, but she is definitely open to dying and cutting it for future promotions.
yukino's main charm, she thinks, is her teeth. much like most jpop idols, whose teeth aren't all that perfect, and yukino's teeth aren't all that perfect as well.
small, miscellaneous scars that aren't that noticeable to the eye litter her body thanks to all the mischief her and yato got up to when they were younger. though her most notable scars are a faint animal bite on her upper right arm from a dog attack when she was five and a small diagonal scar at the end of her left eyebrow from when she fell of a swing when she was seven. she has a collection of moles on her back that form a zigzag line if you connect them.

yukino's fashion style is very clean and modern despite the outrageous fashion sense that's a fad back in japan. she tends to keep herself in light colors, black usually thrown in it as well. shorts and skirts are the majority of her closet, but does own some pants as well.

yukino is a very confident and charismatic person by nature. she has a natural charm that makes people turn their heads to see her. she's also always open to new ideas and opinions, even if they aren't what she normally thinks of or lives by. despite always relying on her brother when she was younger, she became really independent after yato had left home and began to train. because of her dad's busy schedule, she was usually left alone and only had herself to entertain and take care of. naturally witty, she's fairly quick to spill out some humor with her wit just to make everyone laugh or to brighten up a room.
being alone most of the time has made her somewhat sarcastic (someone has to be when her older brother is practically a man child). her sarcasm doesn't have a off button really, so even though it can make others laugh, it could also hurt during serious times. much like her wit and charisma, yukina is lively and bold when it comes to her famous wit. she's rather cheeky and comes off as a sassy person, whether it's good or bad.
yukino is very much a perfectionist. if one little thing is misplaced or not, she will do whatever it takes to put it back in it's place or fix it. whether it's practicing hangul or attempting to get a dance move right, she won't stop until it's perfect even when her body is screaming enough. which definitely shows off how stubborn she definitely is. there are a lot of times when her stubborness gets in the way like whenever she really DOES need help, but refuses to ask for help. and yukino definitely doesn't sugarcoat things, she tells it like it is. she's brutally honest and blunt, she doesn't like beating around the bush at all as she sees no point in walking around an issue. she is also rather demanding as she wishes for everything to be perfect. she will make others work harder just so she can meet the high standards she has for herself and for what she sees in other people as well.
BACKGROUND
when yukino was born, it was bittersweet. her mother was very sick and couldn't hold on after she was born. the whole family took the death to heart, but her father and brother knew that they had to keep it together to take care of yukino.
as yukino grew up, she didn't see her father all that much. he was busy with work, being a ceo wasn't easy. instead of her father, yato was always there for her as a big brother and a father figure. yukino was the light of yato's world, never getting tired of taking care or playing with his little sister.
yato's dream of being a musician was allowed by their father, but told him he'd have to do it himself. although with nothing, yukino was there for him as his biggest supporter. he was the main reason she got into music. when yukino saw all the other girls in her class going to vocal lessons, she wanted to go too. yato was so excited at the thought of yukino wanting to become a idol someday. month after month, yato found yukino having fun in her vocal lessons.
then yato was scouted by avex trax on the streets. yukino was a mess when yato came home and told her the news. did this mean he was going to leave? if he left, who would she have then? but yato made sure to calm his baby sister down, thinking he could take her with him to tokyo. the idea was shot down by their father. yukino was just too young and yato was too young to be taking care of yukino while he was training. how would he support her?
so yato promised his sister that they would meet again and for her to always smile no matter what. after yato left for tokyo, they still made sure to contact each other as much as he could with his busy schedule. the day finally came when yato debuted in c:ode. yukino was amazed at how much yato had changed and grown. it was amazing! eventually avex trax was holding auditions for girls. she wanted to be close to her brother!
their father noticed how yukino would follow her brother's every move, using him as her motivation. he knew his daughter had a natural talent for singing. despite not being there for most of her childhood, he still wanted her to be happy. he helped her with her new vocal lessons (well, he tried), looking up different types of vocal techniques to help her have one foot ahead of all the other singers her age. singing was her absolute dream!
at the age of fourteen, their father finally allowed her to follow her dreams, but only if she made it into avex trax! so with all her strength and motivation, she found her way into avex trax to be on the big stage just like her brother!

► VOCAL suzuki airi unlike most japanese vocalists, yukino doesn't have the same nasally sound. her voice is more robust and can reach notes better than other jpop idols. she has a very nice range, hitting high and low notes very nicely. she can easily belt and sing live as well.

TRAINEE LIFE
training life ... wasn't that hard, but hard at the same time. at first she was sad that she still hadn't got to see her brother that often especially since his band was getting more and more popular. though she didn't let that stop her. her vocal skills had her above the rest of the girls, especially with how young she was at the time.
she impressed most of all her instructors with her singing, watching her whole light up once she began to sing. they all could tell singing was her life, though they were there to help her succeed in other ways.
it was only four-ish years in avex trax when yukino got attention from a korean company. how? avex trax is known to house foreign artists such as korean idols like boa, super junior, exo, etc. yukino actually had ran into exo before and really enjoyed their personalities, especially their music.
she knew of exo beforehand from yoongi (who is actually a very big fan of exo) and she too became a fan as well. they were very sweet and let her take photos with the few she ran into (baekhyun, chanyeol, chen, and suho).
it was those photos that began to surface the internet. her stunning visuals even though she had no makeup on while standing next to them. it got the eyes of sm (who is known to have idols with stunning visuals regardless of positions) and they wanted to know who this girl was.
hints of transferring got to yukino and during an evaluation, it wasn't just her visuals that had sm wanting her. it was her unusually powerful and soul voice that had them sold (and her relation with yato helped too maybe).
fast forward more evaluations and on file jargon, yukino was finally a true sm trainee.
and training was definitely different in korea, especially know that yukino had to relearn how to sing in a different lanuage, but that wasn't much of a problem for her thanks to the language lessons from yoongi. there were talks of putting her into the smrookies program, but sm had other ideas for yukino. they wanted to keep her hidden from netizens for as long as they could.
yukino's personality...other trainees either loved her or hated her. she was a force to be reckon with. she strives for perfection and for what she wants. and she doesn't take no for an answer.
so when she heard about the sljk program, yukino definitely wanted a part of that especially after sm decided that ...
