yuu is a very self assured young man. he knows what he likes, how he likes it, and isn't afriad to tell others his thoughts. he has very little shame and is very CONFIDENT about his person. despite this confidence, or maybe even because of it, he hates to show vulnerability. he can be rather SECRETIVE with his thoughts and feelings due to this.

he is a rather AMBITIOUS and DETERMINED individual. once he sets his mind to something, nothing can stop him. he always has a plan, a goal, or a motive that he will reach regardless of what others tell him. he has butted heads with others often due to his STUBBORNESS and even rash actions just to meet his goal. very little can stop him, despite those closest to him trying. his CUNNING nature often shows in these circumstances. he is no fool and can spin words like no other. add his looks and deep voice and you have a true charmer.

even though he is a trickster by nature and seemingly not the best with playing with others, yuu is truly LOYAL to those who earn his trust. he will protect them, argue for them, and hold them during times of need should they need him to. he can be a bit CLUELESS when it comes to understanding other's emotions, but he is always quick to offer support and a smile.

his INDEPENDENT nature can make him seem like a loner to those who do not know him. he doesn't mind doing things by himself and often prefers it that way so that he gets things done to his satisfaction. add his MISCHIEVOUS nature as a kitsune, and you have a man that not many want to be around. he won't eve admit it, but he's a bit lonely a times. it's why he acts out or clings to those closest to him.

BACKGROUND

yuu is the youngest of three boys and a widowed father. he was born to a happy, loving family. his father a successful lawyer while his mother was a piano instructor. his brothers, twins, were only two years older than him and thus troublemakers in their terrible twos stage. his mother had had complications with the twins, but she had wanted a big family. she assured her husband that the problems before were only there because she had had twin boys. his father listened and yuu was born at the cost of his mother's life. 

his father, according to stories he was told by family, changed after the loss of his wife. he became reserved and quiet. he focused more on work than anything else and took up the bottle when he couldn't stand the pain anymore. he was never abusive or hateful to his children. he was just there for them, acting as nothing more than a caretaker as they grew. they had expectations to follow and were well provided for. some would even say spoiled.

he may not have had the most affection for his father, but yuu had two older brothers who doted on him, even if they terrorised just as much. prank wars were common, arguements were loud, and affection was more than plentiful. yuu would never take back his childhood with his brothers.

when yuu was four he saw a ballerina on tv. he was amazed by how her body moved and how magical she looked. he wanted to be just like her, and as any child would, he tried to copy her moves. he became obsessed with ballet and worked hard to try to copy what he could. when he was five, his father took him to a school of ballet to learn. it was one of the happiest days for yuu.

he spent years dancing ballet. he stood on stages across japan as a junior dancer, picking up new dances as he grew to expand his knowledge and flexibility as a performer. with time his love and obsession moved from just ballet to the stage. he loved performing more than anything else and knew that he wanted to give his life to the stage, no matter what kind or where.

when he was fifteen, yuu began hesitantly putting out applications to different korean companies. he focused on the big three mainly in a hopes of being taken on as a trainee and entering the stage as an idol. when he got no response, he focused on his dance company once more. it took a year for him to attempt to put out another application, choosing a newer company in hopes of his experience as a dancer winning him favor. he hadn't bothered with the companies in japan due to their lack of complicated dances and not liking their images. he wanted something different, something new and the korean companies were perfect.

it took two months for otr to get back with him, and when they did he jumped for joy and may have screamed a bit. his brothers were happy for him and his father even offered a small smile. it was one of the happiest days of his life.

he was accepted as a dancer due to his vast experience, but he was moved to training as a rapper due to his deep voice and weak vocals. he didn't mind so long as he could stand on stage once more. he also enjoyed the challenges of learning a langage and how to properly rap. he had never thought much of singing due to how his voice sounded, and he regretted it a bit after joining the company.

ju hakjoon | devil member | yuu's best friend and partner in crime. yuu talks with hakjoon about most things. they always cause trouble when alone togethere, pranking members or creating messes for the managers. yuu is always up for a game with the other.


lee ha-jun | devil member | yuu looks up to ha-jun. june is calm, collected, and patient with the members. he is strong and kind, even when yuu is being a real pain in the . yuu loves spending time with the elf just reading or talking. he also loves to prank him almost as much as he pranks pilgoon.


moon pilgoon | devil manager | yuu loves pilgoon. he's like a father figure to him, even if their age difference isn't that great. he pushes pilgoon's button like no other, but he knows he can always go to the wolf if he needs to open up or he's stressed.

 
kanda yuki & kanda takashi | older brothers | yuki and takashi are yuu's biggest supporters. ever since he moved to korea for training he has called them daily and written them weekly to let them know how he is. without their support and kind words, he may have given up on being an idol. they stay in contact even today as often as they can.

TRAINING YEARS

yuu has been with otr since he was sixteen. he trained for five years, starting in 2015.

TRAINEE LIFE

yuu struggled with making friends as a trainee. he didn't know any korean, he was constantly pulling pranks, and he would just stare at people when they talked to him, labeling him weird and rude. it pissed him off that people didn't really try to understand him, so he became petty. he learned korean as quickly as he could while playing mean pranks or terrorizing the trainees that were the worst with him. he kept up his atittude for two years before he finally made friends that understood him.

while working on his own skills, his debut was delayed. he made a bit of a fuss in the beginning because he had been working so hard to get to the stage, and had to wait more. but given time he settled down and worked more on himself as he waited.

now that he is finally debuting, his is thruming with excitement. he posts teasers and pictures online. he dances and teases. he makes it known that he is ready to go.

PRE-DEBUT EXPERIENCE

yuu acted as a backup dancer often for comeback stages, solo acts, and concerts.

SCANDALS

2016 - yuu was accused by other trainees for bullying and being a terrible person. they claimed that he attacked them unprovoked, even though he had done so in order to protect another trainee. (maybe juju..?) the company put him on probation, saying that he would be let go should he act up again.

he his lips, staring straight into the camera before smirking. "what's up! it's your resident badboy, kanda. how is everybody doing?"

"pilgoon~ that's a dumb question! you know that i'm super excited! i can't wait to be on the stage with the fans, dancing and whispering sweet nothing for only them." he teased, leaning towards the camera with what he thought was a smoldering look.

he nodded, expression going a bit blank as he watched naeun behind the camera. he could see the dread in pilgoon's eyes as he answered. "he's weak, but not all bad. he laughs at my jokes and pranks, but i have to be careful with him or i get into trouble."

he can't help the laugh that escapes him as he nods. "a lot more than i used to! in the beginning we couldn't stand each other, but given time to know each other we're a lot like a family."

a smirk spread over his lips once more as he leaned in towards the camera, fang peaking out from his lips. "don't you think it fits me perfectly? i'm anything but innocent."

"june is of course the best, but i look to mother when i think of an idol group. they are very talented, patient, and helpful. i wish i could sing like they do."

"i like to think my allure is a strong point that not many of the other members have. they're all good looking, but they do not compare to me when it comes to allure and charisma." he chuckled.
