ha-jun is a bit quiet when in groups, choosing to sit back and watch the crowd, ANALYZING and learning. he tries to keep an eye on those around him so that he can know who to trust or what they may like if they are a part of his life like the other members may be. he goes out of his way to ensure the CARE and comfort of others, even at the cost of his own comfort at times.

despite studying others, he is rather PRIVATE with most things relating to himself. he is INSECURE and fears that the pieces of himself he could give to others is unlikable or annoying, so he keeps his most private thoughts and memories to himself. he can be a bit BLUNT however when speaking and isn't afraid to make his opinions known even if it is rude at times. 

ha-jun is rather self CRITICAL when it comes to his goals or performances. he always thinks he can do better, be better and works hard to make his vision a reality. he is incredibly STUBBORN in that he won't listen to what others tell him unless he knows he is wrong or is proven wrong, even if it is in relation to his accomplishments.

he has a rather PRACTICAL way of thinking about things. it's not all black and white for him, but it needs to make sense in some way. he is HONEST to a fault, even almost tactless in his speech at times if it is true, but his responses often hold more than one meaning. as an elf he has to keep others on their toes and not give them what they desire easily, thus his WITTY wording and comebacks or explinations.

BACKGROUND

ha-jun was born in daegu as the only child to a historian and a teacher. his parents were doting but often busy, leaving him to his own activities and studies. they supported what he liked to do and scolded him when needed, but otherwise were a bit hands off in how they raised him. luckily he turned out to be rather independent with morals and maturity unlike most his age. he chalks it up to his parents making him responsible at a young age.

his father was offered a grant with the university of washington when ha-jun was eight years old. it was a great offer with better pay, so his father took the job and his family followed. his mother was able to get a job at the college as his father's assistant while he began to study english and take american classes. he struggled his first two years due to the language barrier, but eventually settled into his new life. his parents remained busy and loving, but in a new country with a new culture he was bound to have a bit of a rebellious streak.

when he was ten, ha-jun became a fan of hard rock. he found bands such as linkin park and papa roach, bands unlike anything he had seen or heard while in korea or with his parents. he fell in love with the sounds of guitars and the deep, dark lyrics that described pain. he decided that he wanted to be like the singers of those bands, and even older bands such as acdc or queen. he begged his parents for guitar lessons and began belting out any lyrics he could, even if his high voice wasn't that great at the time. he tried to form bands and constantly perform, getting better at both guitar and singing. he was in love with the sounds, the attention, and the meanings in lyrics. he wanted to touch people's lives with his music as his life had been touched.

when he was sixteen, ha-jun's family moved back to korea. it was a bit of a cultural shock to him due to his interests and age while living in america, but eventually he adjusted. he had been in a band until he moved and hadn't given up his love for meaningful music, but his tastes had shifted from hardcore to more indie or alternative. he found bands like traxx from sm and began to get used to the differences in music and culture once more. he became hooked and fell in love with the sounds and images. he never gave up his dream of being in a prefessional band and continued to sing and play guitar. he even made friends with similar intersts in school and formed a group. they were known to be rather talented around his school and neighborhood, often being filmed and talked about.

it wasn't until he was 18 and fresh out of highschool that he was approached by a company. he had been working in a club as a part time soloist following his graduation. he hadn't really wanted to go to school, still focusing on his music career despite being denied by the few companies he had actuall applied for. his sound wasn't what they were looking for, they would say or his species wouldn't fit within the company. he was approached by a scout for some small company shortly after his show, and excited to finally have a chance, he accepted the offer regardless of not knowing much about the company or their reputation.

a year later he met a rep from otr who talked to him about what the company wanted to do in the future. they pointed out things he hadn't noticed about his own company and made him promises should he choose to join their's instead. he accepted the offer and never looked back.

RELATIONSHIPS

ju hakjoon | devil member | ha-jun goes out of his way to took after hakjoon even of the male doesn't need it. as an elf he is a relative to the faeries, at least in his opinion, and he feels like he should help his much younger teammate as a brother should. he gives hakjoon coins, snacks, cream, and anything else to keep him happy and healthy. he'll even admit it himself that he spoils the male a bit.


kanda yuu | devil member | yuu is the member ha-jun keeps the closest watch on. maybe it's in his nature. maybe he slightly favors the younger man. he's not sure, but yuu is the one ha-jun is always cleaning up after be it a mess or a prank. he loves the fox like he loves hakjoon, as a family member, but even he loses patience with their games.


kim naeun | devil's manager | ha-jun has been with the company since the beginning. he was there when the manager's were hired and quickly made friends with them. he enjoyed being around those closer to his age after spending so much time around the members of devil. he loves s, but being around naeun and trying to flirt with her is fun for him. he blushes and is very awkward, but the talks and jokes they share are some of his happiest memories.


moon pilgoon | devil's manager | when pilgoon first came to the company, ha-jun can admit to finding the male very attractive. over time however his attraction turned to fondness for the sweet younger man. he saw how much the other cared and how hard he worked and grew to admire and cherish him. he will be the first to admit that pilgoon is probably his best friend.
 

TRAINING YEARS

ha-jun joined otr in 2011 when he was ninteen. they weren't his first choice admittedly , but he doesn't regret joining the company and waiting out his debut. his first company was a small, very shady business. they wanted him primarily for his looks and hadn't out much effort into his training or promotions.

TRAINEE LIFE

ha-jun had a bit of a tough time in the beginning of his training. up until then he was mostly self taught and focused on a certain genre. upon entering the company they started him from the beginning and built his skill from ground up. he had also never put much into dancing, even if he felt the music naturally and would just move. it took some time and a lot of frustration, but eventually he got the hang of the schedules and how he was actually supposed to learn.

he hated having to wait after a couple years of training. in the beginning he understood and had a lot he was working on anyways. after a while though he began to get frustrated as his friends debuted over and over.

when they finally got their human member, he was relieved. up to that point he had considered leaving the company to finally make his own name, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. now he almost cherishes the human member of their group, maybe even babies him a bit.

PRE-DEBUT EXPERIENCE

he never had any solo activities, but he did appear alongside some of his coworkers in their own songs or as a backup dancer. the most noteable is when he worked alongside minhee as her dancer.

SCANDALS

he luckily was able to avoid scandals while training. he chalks it up to keeping to himself and avoising social media.

june turned to the camera with a small smile before giving a slight bow of his head. "good afternoon my little daemons, your king june is at your service."

he took a deep breath, his fingers tapping on his leg nervously. "it feels so good. i can't even begin to describe how happy i am to finally debut alongside everyone. we've all worked so hard to reach this point together."

"why wouldn't i?" he asked with a frown and a tilt of his head. "he's just like the rest of us, someone who has dreamed and worked towards the stage. he's a decent person and i'm glad to work with him."

"of course!" he laughed, remembering how he had to chase down two of s for the pranks they had played before the interview. "they're troublemakers but they are all good guys to work with."

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE FALLEN ANGEL CONCEPT FOR DEVIL?

"i think it's rather befitting of the group. we're all young and beautiful, or so i've heard, but in reality we're all a bit devilish. angels who have fallen into a bit of darkness." he explained, his knee bouncing a bit.

he hummed and tilted his head a bit in thought before answering. "i'd say i admire mother or kween. they have helped us the most over the years, training with us and then training us themselves. i strive to be as successful and humble as they are."

"my attention to detail." he answered quickly, sure that his obession with watching others and noticing things is one of his strongest qualities.
