chapter two

CHAPTER TWO
Despite Nova and Sehun's attempts at kicking the unwanted guests from their apartment, the other four couples remained grounded in their seats and now everyone was working on their projects individually, away from their partners. For the most part anyways.

The project is pretty simple. Each person will have a jar to fill with the things they love about their significant other. Or just things they really want to tell their partner but are too embarrassed to verbally express. For Nova and Sehun, they were going to use this jar when they got into fights so that it can help them cool off quickly and remember why they were in love. Although that was their original intention, some of the couples had other ideas.

Soojin and Minseok were short on time but Soojin is still going to go the extra mile for her husband anyways. Instead of cutting her paper into boring old strips, Soojin cut the papers into the figure of a plump bear before pasting oval shape, lined papers that she cut before as the bear's stomach. She'd write her loving words on the bears stomach and instead of folding the paper, she'll just have the bears' stomachs facing the center of the jar. That way, she can keep the bears looking like a bear country without giving away what she wrote on their stomachs. Soojin also has plans to add a rooftop on the lid of the jar to make it seem like one big happy family of bears.

As she did that, she excitedly shoved the paper bears in her husband's face, fascinated by how cute the little papers were coming up. She was actually very proud of her efforts so far and would appreciate it if her husband can compliment her hard work. Maybe she can even use this idea for her next blogging video and put her own twist on it. Minseok laughed at whatever Soojin did, eyes full of love as he very quickly filled up half of the jar of things he wanted to say that he loved about Soojin.

Minseok was a simple person so he went the most natural and simple route, cutting strips and writing what needs to be said on them. He then folded them into fourths before tossing it into the jar. Of course, Soojin still hasn't actually written anything, too busy cutting out paper bears and checking the time when she realized Minseok's progress.

"How are you already half way done!? Are you just writing random things? I'm telling you right now, I won't forgive you if you half this project."

Minseok laughed, seeing Soojin's serious expression before grabbing her hand in his, "How can I not fill this jar so easily when you are so loveable? I'm disappointed in how slow I'm going already."

"You're ing gross, hyung," Sehun faked a gag then cowered behind Nova when he saw Soojin direct a glare at him.

On the other hand, Seongwoo was watching Soojin and Minseok's exchange, green with envy. One day, I'll be able to say that to Bohee without scaring her off. And without me cringing in disgust. Seongwoo shivered then went back to work. After double checking on his wife.

Seeing Bohee working seriously made him grin with delight and he got right back to work with filling up the jar. He may not be creative or good at arts, but Seongwoo is going to make this the prettiest ing jar even if it costs him his sleep tonight. He's going to align the insides of the jar with baby pictures - taken from combining him and Bohee's pictures. And inside, similar to Soojin, he was going to cut the paper into shapes - baby bottles - to showcase his creativity. Because Bohee deserves so much more than the basic .

Although Bohee was really trying her hardest to think of things to write about Seongwoo, by the end of the hour, all she had come up with was a handful of things she wanted to say to Seongwoo. So instead of focusing useless energy on trying to think of other things she wants to say to Seongwoo, she started to write questions she wanted Seongwoo to answer. Questions that she believes can pull them closer and help them know each other on a more personal level. Instead of reading the strips of paper during an argument, Bohee suggested that Seongwoo read from the jar during their bedtime sessions to open up room for discussion. With that thought in mind, BOhee's jar for Seongwoo was very quickly filling up.

Joowon saw Bohee working seriously, trying to peek over her arm to see what she was rigorously jotting down only to have Bohee give him a light smack to deter him. As soon as Bohee's hand came in contact with Joowon's arm, although it was jokingly, Seongwoo still narrowed his eyes at Joowon until he cowered towards Jieun. Only to have his dear wife shove him away because she wasn't about to allow him to catch what she was doing either. The boy sulked to himself before attempting to continue with the papers.

Honestly speaking, Joowon wasn't the type who needed something stupid like these little jars to convey his feelings. He tells Jieun how he feels all day every day without filter. Seeing her blush from his comments was always one of the highlights of his days. His insides gets all fuzzy seeing her shy side. So rather than working hard on filling the jar, he wrote in large and bold letters I don't need a jar to showcase how much I love you on a large piece of paper and used it to wrap the outside of the jar. He then placed it in front of Jieun before sauntering off to bother the others working on their jars.

Those who caught sight of what he wrote cringed, leaving Jieun to blush harder at the embarrassment. She quickly took the jar off the coffee table, leaving it next to her. Although Joowon didn't put much thought into this jar, Jieun still felt herself warm up to the simple sentence he wrote. And she was still going to treasure this jar, even though it's empty inside.

As soon as Joowon made his way over to Yeonhee, the girl patted his head and made conversation as she continued with her work. "Are you done with making your jar already? Jieun is over there workng so hard and yet here you are, going around bothering everyone."

"I tell Holly everything that has to be said, I don't need a jar to tell her how important she is to me."

"Ah youngsters in love. So cute. You're doing good." Yeonhee complimented wholeheartedly, leaving Joowon to smile like an idiot. It was nice to be complimented for his efforts. He does try hard so Jieun won't question his feelings for her and it felt good to be acknowledged.

"So what are you going to do with your jar, noona?"

"Well, I'm no picasso and I have the attention span of a damn squirrel, so I'm just going to do what has to be done in the most simplest and efficient way."

"You're not going to design or do something creative? I saw Soojin noona cutting out paper bears, and I think someone is even folding stars."

Yeonhee waved off Joowon's question, "Nah, that's too much unncessary work. I think Seojun and I have great communication so I feel similar to your disinterest in this. I'm just here to see you guys and hang out, talk about stupid that happens in our married lives."

"Talking about something stupid in our married lives, can you guys ing believe Sehun steals my phone to snap himself? He even screenshotted his snap page when our streak went to 1000 with the caption when you're the only one she cares about," Nova announced to the group without looking up from scribbling something on her paper, leaving Sehun to blush from embarrassment.

"I don't know what she's talking about," was all he could muster up before scrambling into the bedroom to hide himself, embarrassed by his own immature actions. Nova froze seeing Sehun leave. Did I hurt his feelings?

"Hey guys, it's nearly 4. Soojin and Minseok hyung has to pick up Byulie so why don't we all take the chance to go too? It is getting late." Seojun spoke up while he gathered his jar and scraps. He noticed the concern on Nova's face when Sehun ran off, deciding it's better to allow the youngsters to have some time for themselves. Seojun made a quick scan to make sure he didn't leave any of his stars behind before stuffing everything into his jar. He'll sort it back out once he got home.

Yeonhee immediately understood her husband's intentions, rushing the others to clean up their messes and head out the door. Soojin and Minseok really did not need another motivation as they have already scrambled out of the apartment, rushing to pick their baby bear.

Joowon was confused with the sudden change, Jieun dragging him out by the arm while he attempted to protest. Jieun glared at him and he immediately closed his mouth, following after her obediently. Although he started to grin when he saw their intertwined fingers. And the fact that Jieun's jar for him was more than half way filled.

Seongwoo and Bohee were the last ones to leave. Seongwoo escorted Bohee out the apartment, holding her arm. Seojun and Yeonhee helped the youngest couple pack their things, since they were going to give them a lift anyways.

"Thanks for today, Nova. Sorry for the intrusion," Bohee said when Nova walked Yeonhee and Seojun to the door.

"Yep." Had it been anyone else, Nova would have probably said something like then don't ing interupt next time, but she has a soft spot for Bohee, moreso now than ever so she kept shut, finally breathing a sigh of relief after she closed the door behind the last of them.
