☆ PRETTY FLOWER ☆  a nickname that only his boyfriend can call him. it did take hua a long time to get used to the nickname, but he loves it when jasper calls him this (not that he would ever admit it, nope).

☆  FLOWER GIRL  ☆  is parents decided to use the feminine chinese character for hua so a lot of kids started calling him this to tease and bully. the feminine character of hua means flower and that is how this annoying nickname became to be.

☆  CHEONGHWA  ☆  a literal korean version of his full name. some korean trainees called him this when they tried to pronounce his name. he doesn't mind the name as he has gotten used to it over the years.

☆  FAT HUA  ☆  other variations include fatty, pig, piggy, etc. due to his chubby cheeks and rather thick thighs, anti-fans (or just horrid fans in general) and old bullies called him this to put him down. these horrid nicknames are the ones he hates the most.

☆  MAMA  ☆  because of his motherly attitude, friends and trainees call him this. he nags a lot, but he truly cares for everyone like a mother would. it doesn't help that he loves to cook as well.

APPEARANCE

standing at an average height, hua is a handsome chinese man. he has slightly chubby cheeks and thick thighs from his training as a dancer, but likes to hide most of his muscles under his clothes. he doesn't have abs, he has a smooth stomach with hints of definition. most of his muscles are in his upper arms and legs (mostly his thighs) due to dancing and playing soccer.

his hair hasn't been crazily dyed (only going to a orange brown at it's lightest) and it still carries it natural bounciness and softness. he only had one piercing on his left ear (pictured on the left). he only has one tattoo inked onto his skin: a minimalist tattoo on the side of his right forearm.

STYLE

hua doesn't have a concrete style to say, but he's always seen in jeans (that wrap around his thick thighs perfectly). hardly ever seen without wearing jeans. normally seen wearing t-shirts with band names on them with a jacket or sweater on top. the man loves his sweaters though.

at first sight, hua is a mature young man. he is determined to do whatever he can to keep people from falling out into silly arguments and nonsense. he's happy to listen to new and challenging ideas and view points without accepting or rejecting them blindly. hua is definitely quick notice things when they happen. it's like he has eyes in the back of his head, being able to know someone behind him even when they are trying to sneak up on him. despite being an only child, hua developed a motherly attitude when comes to people younger than him (whose he kidding, he acts like a mom to the older members too). nagging and doing the chores, always being there for members when times are tough, the total mom package. extremely selfless, that is what hua is. all he wants is everyone's happiness and nothing in return. because everyone's happiness is his happiness. whenever hua's given a specific task, he becomes dedicated to the project. whether it's coming up with new choreography or simply doing the dishes, nothing will stop him until he gets done with the job.

hua is a very quiet person, hardly ever making noise or announcing his presence every time he walks into a room. he prefers to keep to himself and let people naturally find and seek him out rather than make himself known. underneath his motherly exterior, he's actually a soft guy, mellowed out by his early maturity. he lets things go with the flow (unless something disrupts the flow, then he'll go and fix the problem) and hardly lets things anger him.

despite his maturity, hua is very clumsy and forgetful. do not leave anything precious or breakable in his hands as they will break one way or another. he has gotten better keeping his butter fingers from ruining things, but he tends to forget his own clumsiness whenever he sees something pretty. hua is definitely stubborn. there are a lot of times when his stubborness gets in the way like whenever he really DOES need help, but refuses to ask for help. he's stubborn like that. hua is very much a perfectionist. if one little thing is misplaced, he will do whatever it takes to put it back in it's place. because of his forgetfulness, he does tend to be a rather awkward person. especially when he forgets about certain things he was told about and when you go to talk to him about it, he'll stand there with a blank face until you give him all the information. he doesn't know where his forgetfulness comes from as he is only twenty-three.

BACKGROUND

hua can tell everyone that his life isn't that interesting to hear. he was born to two parents that loved him, rich parents to be more specific. though it was never something he liked to brag or talk about. he went to school like a normal kid. nothing drastic in his school life except for a few cases of bullying due to his chubby cheeks in which his parents felt the need to switch schools for their child (which hua had managed to stop them because he didn't want the bullies to win).

hua spent time playing soccer in elementary and middle school, one of the things he focused on other than his schooling. though as high school rolled around, hua got interested in something else...dancing. due to his years of soccer, he had enough sense of movement and muscles that caught the eyes of the dance club at his school.

they needed one more member for a talent show and they somehow convinced hua to join them. it was three months away and within those months, hua fell in love and the club was glad that they were able to convert someone into their group!

hua stayed with the group all throughout high school, honing his skills and even joining professional lessons as well. he quickly became one of the group's best dancers and was steadily becoming a star.

after most of the group graduated from high school (including hua), they branched out from the school's dance club to their very own dance crew. with hua's money, they secured a great place to practice and film dance covers. their dance covers became pretty popular online and hua got scouted by an agent from mavericks for his dancing abilities.

RELATIONSHIPS

jingyi was a little boy from his neighborhood that he would babysit on a regular basis. jingyi has essentially became hua's child over the years and the boy looks up to hua as a parent figure (he's the one who started the mom nickname after all). the boy is very hua biased and will fite anybody who is mean towards his mama. and he may be a child, but this boy is a savage beast and no one is safe around him unless hua is around. and jingyi can do no wrong when hua is near cause he's his precious child.

while hua is in korea, jingyi actually seeks out jasper all the time as a subsitute. that and he knows he can get away with things when he's with jasper.

yifen was hua's neighbor and childhood best friends. their friendship is still going strong even after all these years. they both match each other quite perfectly, both enjoying peace and quiet. yifen was into dancing before hua and was one of the people who convinced hua to join the high school dance club.

yifen may be quiet, but he too is a part of the 'protect hua' club and will also fite if someone tries to mess with his best friend. he is currently studying traditional chinese dance, so he's fairly busy, but he usually calls hua to catch up on things.

feng is...even hua doesn't really know. he was an exchange student from hong kong who no one knew what the hell he was talking about half of the time. he is loud and dumb, hua doesn't even remember how they became friends.

though feng is super protective of hua, kind of like a big brother to him cause he knows hua tends to keep things to himself. he's also the only one who can get away with calling hua 'fat' because hua knows feng literally means nothing by it (since he did call his 'fat cheeks' super adorable once).

how does one describe jasper gao? one fudging . he's louder than feng and more a child than jingyi, but...he has his charms. charms that made hua fall in love.

hua met jasper in mavericks. hua had just become a trainee and then here comes jasper and his band and...hua felt like he was going to get gray hairs from them all. but jasper...he was going to be the main one. he just knew it. for the next year, hua dealt with the band and jasper's loud and dumb nature and as much as hua griped and complained, he secretly enjoyed the stupid way japser would trip over his own feet or always trying to steal his food whenever he cooked for them.

and then, hua saw them perform on stage. sure, he had always seen them practice and busk, doing their covers...but this time, he saw them on stage as an actual band and seeing jasper up there singing their debut song, a song of their own, and hua knew he fell in love. and it didn't take long for the both of them to get together because jasper was never quiet about his affections towards hua. and they both stumbled over their confessions, but friends and family were quite supportive of the two.

their relationship? they bicker like an old married couple. hua is the responsible mom while jasper is the...dumb father. hua nags jasper the most (i mean, he needs it). jasper is the one who knows how bring hua back up from his despressive episodes, to comfort him when his stress levels are too high. just hearing jasper's voice brings joy to hua even when he's being loud or obnoxious.

everyone knows that if you can't find hyeonwoo, he's most likely by hua's side. met after getting scolded by instructors on their weak points, hua offered to help hyeonwoo with choreo while in turn hyeonwoo helped him with his singing.

magicstar has dubbed the two as mother and son due to their interactions and even their looks. hua is already known as a mother to all young trainees and hyeonwoo is no exception to this. hua completely dotes on hyeonwoo, maybe even nagging on him whenever he doesn't do what he says or forgets a certain choreo tip he told him about, but...it's all love.

hyeonwoo has not met jasper yet, or at least in person, but hua gushes over hyeonwoo's cuteness a lot and hyeonwoo gets embarrassed when hua gets onto one of his gushing tangents about him.

maybe it's a good thing hyeonwoo doesn't know a lot of chinese just yet.
