Chapter 57 Teaser
"So you want to go to Dubai?" his voice echoed in the silence of the conference room, the girl sitting across him bringing her head up to take a peek at him.
"I was gonna tell you earlier-"
"But you didn't," Jungkook scoffed, hand reaching to loosen his tie around his neck "You're impressive Kim Soojin, just when I think you have no more surprises, you never fail to bring something back for me."
"I'm s-sorry," she replied dryly, eyes wandering around
"Are you gonna tell them or should I?" Jungkook asked as he stood up from his seat and leaned forward, placing his palms on the table "That you're not going."
"I want to go," Soojin responded, trying her best to keep her voice stable "I'm going."
"You dont need my permission," Jungkook scoffed darkly "Is that what you mean?"
"I do," Soojin replied, gaze wavering on her husband's face "I need your permission."
"Soojin ah," Jungkook called, tone lowering an octave "If you need my permission shouldn't you try and be more persuasive?"
Soojin gulped nervously, lowering her head as she tried to come up with words "persuasive" enough as the guy requested but nothing came out of her lips.
"Well I dont think that was very persuasive," Jungkook muttered after a few moments of silence "I'll talk to Jimin Hyung and let him know," he said as he walking around the table towards the exit of the conference room ...

"You must have seen her," the lady's eyes fixated on the screen, question directing at the guy who was watching her "I heard her husband is a chaebol," she stated, eyes slowly travelling to the guy "Is that the same guy filming these videos?"
"N-No," he answered, continuing to observe the older lady's facial expression.
"I see," she nodded simply and he could almost see a hint of emotions barely flashing through those two dark eyes, a hint of disappointment that was only visible if he looked hard enough "Is he a good guy?"
"He has a good heart," he explained, nodding his head "He can appear cold and distant but he has good intentions."
"I know a person like that," The lady smiled, taking a sip of her small cup of tea "He was cold and distant, but once you broke into his lonely world, he was nothing but a thick glass of wall that he hid in to protect himself."
"I know a person like that too," The guy responded with a smile, thought flying to the figure of his lover "He tries so hard to build the walls around, not letting anyone in. I hope he realizes how lonely he'll be once everyone else stops fighting to break his walls."
"He has you," the lady's voice brought the guy back to the moment, eyes trembling on the smiling figure "You're talking about Seokjinie aren't you?"
-
"Hyung," Jungkook immediately stood up and bowed for the older guy, waiting for him to sit across him before sitting down again "Sorry about the sudden call. I hope It wasn't bad timing."
"It's alright," Seokjin nodded watching the younger guy pouring him some drink in the small white cup before reaching and grabbing the china containing the alcoholic drink to pour it for him "Is everything alright?"
"Yes," Jungkook nodded hesitantly, picking up the cup and turning his head around to drink before bringing his gaze back to the guy "I just need to confirm something with you."
Seokjin's eyes glazed over the guy's anxious expression, taking a sip of his drink "Did Soojin cause any trouble again?" he asked, eyebrows knitting close together
"N-No," Jungkook refused abruptly, heart sinking as he figured the older guy's face is starting to resemble a tint of anger that he's seen before
