She gulped the lump in harshly to fight them back when her eyes caught the sight of someone in the corner.

The middle-aged female sitting in her traditional and colourful Hanbok, wiping her tears with the matching colourful handkerchief while his husband rubbed her back to comfort her.

She didn't have to think twice to recognize the older lady as Hyejin's mother. The soft, warm features of the younger resembling in the lady's face were enough confirmation for her to know it's her. Her heart clenched in envy for the second time that night.

What would have she felt if she was there at my wedding, would she cry like this?, would she kiss my forehead the way Hyejin's mother was kissing her daughter and wish her happiness.

She shrugged the thoughts with a bitter smile, gaze lowering on her lab. Her eyes then travelled to the guy sitting beside her, his eyes fixed on the scene in front of him.

Then she imagined the world where she was no longer Kim Soojin and her heart skipped a beat. Her eyes started to well up with tears, knowing perhaps some other chaebol girl would be called the guy's rightful wife in the world.

She gritted her teeth, as the faces of multiple girls started to flash in her wedding photos, replacing her figure beside Jungkook.

Maybe that was for the better, she thought, biting on her tongue harshly to suppress the urge to cry, maybe those alternative chaebol wives would have made him happy ...

"I heard you have a new lawyer."

Her blood froze in her veins, eyes dilating at the unexpected words that came out of her brother's lips. She parted her lips to answer but nothing came out so she pressed them firmly together again.

"Hyung," Namjoon stepped in with an awkward laugh, eyeing the younger girl who was still shocked "You must have heard-"

"Soojin ah," Seokjin interrupted, calling the girl again "Dont you think there are more important things you should be doing right now?" He flashed her a sarcastic smile that had little signs of friendliness "Like having your first child."

Soojin gulped nervously, eyes travelling to the people around the table who were silently avoiding getting involved in the family discussion.

"Oppa," she called, voice slightly trembling "We can talk about this later-"

"No," Seokjin rejected immediately "It's a good opportunity, Namjoon is here as well. And since he's the one requesting to be your new legal representative, you should let him know that you dont need a new lawyer-"

"He didn't," she quickly blurted out cutting her brother in the middle of the sentence "I did."

"What?" Seokjin raised an eyebrow, jaw clenched in rage "You did?"

"Yes I did," she nodded, her earlier fear and embarrassment subsiding slowly "I needed a lawyer, Namjoon Oppa is a good lawyer so I figured it can work out for me."

"You have an entire legal team from Kim Enterprise," Seokjin explained sternly "You need a lawyer?"

"They are your lawyers," she explained unfazed by her brother's apparent anger "Or better to say Kim Enterprise legal team as you said," she hesitated before looking directly into his eyes "Remember? I'm not a Kim anymore, I'm Jeon Soojin now."

Seokjin's eyes widened at the girl's statement ...
